Horatio's Chapel Guard

Hello all!

I am hoping, sometime over the next couple of months to assemble a warband based on StyrofoamKing's excellent Bretonian Chapel Guard warband list. Here are my thought's on models so far:

The Questing Knight


The damsel


Knight Errants:



(Those first two might potentially have different heads)

Buying these 5 minis makes more sense than buying a full unit of bretonnian knights who I would probably never use anyways, especially since their price is pretty much exactly the same. However, I am not sure what to do about my 5 archers, 5 squires, and 3 pilgrims (the amount of units I foresee myself potentially using). I could even double up and use squires and grail pilgrims interchangably. It would be really nice if I could purchase the rest of those for under $25... any ideas?

The base M@A box has enough diversity that you can tool out your archers (maybe using a few bits from other locations too of course) as it does come with some bows too; squires could also come from there. Pilgrims though I don't know where to get other then just buy some or any other down and out peasants.

M@A box? Oh, men at arms. Yeah, clearly that was one of my first thoughts. I didn't know that it came with bows actually. That's pretty handy. I do have about half of the empire free company box so I could definitely kitbash some. Alright. I'll probably pick up one of those if I see it somewhere cheap.

In other news, I went ahead and ordered those 5 from reaper minis. Supposedly they should be arriving sometime after Thanksgiving.

off hand I can't remember if it comes with 1 bow for a Bowmen champion or not but I do remember it came with one or two bows/quivers that are for slinging to the back.
Also as a note with them the arms are attached via elbo not sholder.

That's pretty inconvenient, but shouldn't be a huge issue. I can always clip down some bow arms from the Free Company box.
