| As written above: I saw Styros rules for this warband and i immediately began to search for fitting minis in ebay: This band has really character. Fortunately i was able to find some very nice minis: The first set is mostly from the knights of law range of 1983 (preslotta era) One of them is the leader: I like the left mini more, but the right one looks like a general leading his troops into war: I think i use the right one as tactican hired sword or so Nextpicture, two knights errants: Yes they have helmets, but i like the minis, so i will use them and don´t buy them helmets. One WIP knights errant: It is a gift of floedbolle. I think it was a chaos general of the 80s or so, but i am not sure anymore. This mini is very stylish Some squires: and the first two bow man: I am waiting for three more bowmen and three grails pilgrims are also in construction (will be shown later) I am still searching for a miniature as damsel. There is a current nice model of GW available but also several nice minis from Reaper. I haven´t finally decided yet, but will be soon. So i hope to find some time within the next days to go on with this project.

| COOL STUFF! The Knights & Squires are from a time when Citadel stuff was a rarity over on this side of The Pond; so they're new to moi. The Archer & Gui le Gros are old favorites. Have FUN painting! | |

First i had set you on fire with the warahmmer thing, and it became a bush fire, now you tasted blodd concerning pre slotta and vintage stuff, where might this end.............BUT i love your warband, fantastic choice of minis, as you already said, thosse knights have alot of charakter, excellent, and you also found a home for my chaos warrior, like it! Maybe i´ll battle them next weekend, would be fun, floedebolle _________________ Lord Flasheart: And always remember - if you want something, take it! Bobby! Bob Parkhurst: [enters] My lord? | A long time ago i started this thread for my current project. So after a move and therefore many other project which were more important i was happily able to proceed with this fine warband. I am sorry that i have no names yet, but this will change in a few weeks or so: The Questing knight: First knights errant: Second knights errant: and the group shots: The first two of alltogether five bowmen: Three more are finished, but their pictures dissapeared somehow. The only plan i have left is to ad some leafes on the base so the forest theme of the base comes out a little stronger. The damsel, the third knights errant and the first squire are in WIP status and can hopefully be shown soon. Have fun!

| VERY COOL & WELL DONE! The First Knight Errant looks like he might have hurt himself lifting that oh-so-heavy sword. The Good Friar is my favorite in the Crew. | |

| Wow, they turned out nice, even though the ex chaos knight looks like he is stoned, the eyes my friend too blue, too big, but the eyes of le petit and friar drunky look nice, change them on mr. errant, he deserve´s it! Great colour choice on the questing knight! _________________ Lord Flasheart: And always remember - if you want something, take it! Bobby! Bob Parkhurst: [enters] My lord? | Thanks pals!
@floedebolle:
I thought about those eye too.
But call me crazy i like them (they are smaller than the last time you saw them)
I think this eyes give the knight errant a "Charakterfresse" a unique face, like he saw to many horrible things and is near to a burnout. His right eye looks for me slightly wounded maybe a little warped or so.
Nevertheless currently i think i will not rework him soon.

| Hi guys, i was able to made some pictures of the three bowmen i forgot last time. And i need your advise on one topic: So and here is the topic on which i need advise: Please look on the maple leaves on the bases: Do you like them? I don´t like them very much, the are looking like paper not like leaves for a miniatures base. Unfortunately i invested about 20€ to buy three packages of them. Thanks for your comments. | |

| The Lads in Lincoln Green are VERY COOL! The highlighting may be a tad on the harsh side; perhaps a wash with the darker shade would tone it down...could be just the photo though. The Fellow on the left is a mini I've had hanging out somewhere since he was a new mini; if I can find him, you've inspired a paint job. All in all VERY NICELY DONE! On the leaves: I like them; the shape & size are right on. I think they'd benefit from a dark reddish brown wash & a burnt orange dry brush. Even as is, they add an appropriately woodsy touch to the bases. | |

| Hmmm the idea to wash them and maybe highlight them is a nice one.
I think i will give it a try.
The highlights especially of the right one of the three minis went wrong. I need to rework a bit on this one.
I nearly finished the damsel, another knights errant and one squire.
I hope i can post some pictures soon.

| the leaves have potential, I would make a pot of strong tea, drop the leaves in, and let it set for a while, take them out, let them dry in the light, and they will warp a little bit, and have a wash right away. The miniatures are of fine pick! | |

| What are the leaves made of? Are they paper? Who makes them? The scale looks all right they just need a little more work to make them look part of the world. | |

| What I really love is the number of models you were able to find with a horse motif. Who made the damsel?
Very nice work. Thanks for the link to the leaves.

| Thanks, the damsel is from reaper.
I really had to search some time to find her. Citadel didn't produce so many female miniatures or maybe i wasn' t lucky and i didn't find one from citadel.

| VERY NICELY DONE! The fluted armor on the Knight Errant is quite striking; AND the Damsel has the Dennis Mize slim-but-sexy look to her. For his facial expression, the Squire is my favorite of the threesome. | |

| So three months later i really started playing with my chapel guard. I lost the first game, but it was fun nevertheless. So some new minis were missing in this thread and i added some new details to the bases so i show you all the other minis again.: First the new minis: Teo squires: Both are from the knights of law series, as many others before too. First of the later three battle pilgrims: and one bowman or squire: It is finally Bertrand! (I found him for a reasonable price on ebay) And all the others with leafs (and good looking too) on the bases: I hope you like them. | |

| Thanks, i like the new leafes very much.
Floedbolle gave them to me as a gift.
But i also learned that metallic armour is really difficult to paint.
The effect of metallic colours is ok but not breathtaking.
NMM on the other side is too difficult for me.
Maybe you have some suggestions.

Maybe you have some suggestions. Have you tried Citadel Washes? Using a Devlan Mud or Ogryn Flesh wash on gold-ish metals or a Badab Black wash on silver-ish metals or both on ageing or battered metals (the second layer applied once the first is dry) makes a world of difference. They dry matt and they are quite subtle in the way they change the colour beneath (so multiple layers won't over-darken) but the effect is quite striking!
