Yes indeed...we have a bumper sticker with that. AND Austin lives up to the motto...it gives me a feeling of belonging. On the way to Austin, we pass by the town of Spicewood. Their motto is: "We're all here because we're not all there."

| Are they supposed to be Troglodytes? Maybe painting them up in bright, Lizardman-type colors. | |

| Actually I'm not sure what they are other than being nomads inhabiting an especially arid area of the Dark Sun setting. Since the Dark Sun setting was rather short of water that's saying something...there also was a near absence of metals & the Halflings were cannibals or man-eaters at any rate. It's one of those AD&D setting that my erstwhile group nearly got involved with; & I wound up with a fair number of minis that I had no use for when they changed their minds. I was thinking of either a waxy grey Zombie like skin color of a greenish ivory. Their armor is actually shells; so that I'll do in a bone like coloration. The spear tips are flint/obsidium/stone. Addendum: AND as I recall the art work was by Brom, which should give you an idea as to just how dark the setting was. | |

| I am a big fan of greenish ivory. Perhaps becasue of my age I am not a fan of gray. | |

| Thanks, Guys...I think they're rather cute also. AND I usually avoid plain old grey in favor of a slate tone. One of the Lead Adventure Folk thought the looked aquatic: Nice teeth, eh? Addendum: One of the Guys on the Reaper Forum suggested I search Dark Sun via Google. That yielded this: Cool, huh?! | |

| Well...I've made some unremarkable progress on my Dark Sun Guys. The skin color is established & some of the other colors are falling in place: While I was at it, I added two new Mushroom Lads with sort-of-legs: I'm debating giving the Lads some pointy toed Elfin style shoes to add to the Clown Effect. Your comments & critiques are as always appreciated...for the most part. | |

| I kind of like the root-like nature of the sort-of-legs. Not so sure of shoes.
Dark Suns are coming along nicely.

| Thanks, V.K.! I also think that the Pointy Shoes might be a bit much...even for moi. I'm trying to finish up the D.S. Guys before the forced switch to the "new & improved" Photo Bucket screws up my life. | |

| Thanks, theomar! I opted to go for the skin tone Brom used in his illustration. I think I got pretty close. AND NOW, with a suitable fanfare & without further ado, here is the seacond of the Mobile Morels: I imagine these Guys getting around with a low slung Groucho Marx style strut. AND the Group Portrait: How know what the next Mushroom manifestation will be? Me neither. In the meantime your kind comments would be appreciated...kind of. | |

| You, good sir, should scale these things up and have an exhibit/vernissage (whatever it's called) at an art gallery! You have such a unique style and your work really kickstart my imagination!
/Cheers! | |

| Thanks, Hrimfar! Stimulating your imagination is quite a compliment. A local Gallery has actually shown some interest in putting my pieces on display sometime this Summer...this could be good...or not. | |
