| Greetings Fellow Travelers of the Old World! Earlier in this thread, I shared some archers/hunters that I was working on. Well, I just finished a detachment of them and with a bonus canine friend to complete their rank... I hope you guys like it and the new format of my presentations. Incidentally, the dbl appearing at the bottom-right portion refers to my initials. | |

| Greetings Fellow Travelers of the Old World! I would just like to share my painted Empire Army thus far. I would like to point out that I still have a ton of unpainted miniatures and thousands more in terms of working hours to both assemble and paint the same but I figured, I might as well share what I have worked on so far so as to provide myself with a visual inspiration to keep painting. I hope you guys like what I have done so far... | |

| Greetings Fellow Travelers of the Old World! Mordheim attracts all sorts of shady characters. Religious fanatics, sell-swords, Witch Hunters, adventurers and others of similar ilk are all drawn to this blasted wasteland for equally varied reasons. Some individuals come to this cursed place in search of themselves; others come rallying in the name of some higher cause; while others simply take heed to a loftier calling. Majority of Mordheim's visitors however visit for more practical and prurient reasons. They come looking for wealth, power and fame. Others come to simply shed the blood of others. Jared Cain, the Poacher and his half-ogre companion, Bruiser Boom definitely belong to the latter group. Jared Cain is an accomplished poacher from Middenheim whose collection of skaven pelts and trophies are legendary, especially since the Skaven are supposed to be creatures of legend. He is personally responsible for wiping out the skaven warren of Kratch Morskittar of the Mancarver clan and has laid claim to having decimated the entire skaven nursery of Warlord Gnawslitch of clan Mors. Bruiser Boom, on the other hand is a half-human, half-ogre mercenary whose incredible strength and uncanny mastery of anything relating to guns and gun powder is Jared's constant companion. Some say that this is due to Bruiser's sickening appetite for skaven meat. Jared and Bruiser have both come to Mordheim on account of the rumor that a particularly powerful grey seer is rumored to have taken residence therein. As to the why this particular grey seer is being pursued by these two is a mystery and both Jared and Bruiser are not inclined to sharing their reason(s). They are however offering their services to any warband who is in serious need of vermin control and even though the warband's paymaster may have to cough up more shillings for their sevices, the same is worth every coin for when it comes to killing skaven, there is none more adept at it than these two! | |

| These two look awesome! They'd fit right in in either Necromunda or Mordheim. VERY well done on the facial features, and I'll definitely second the compliments on the stubble. | |

| I'm a little late to the party, just a few years..., but your painting is really spectacular! I really like the way you paint faces and the pictures of the same handgunner with different faces was amazing.
Where did you get those two steampunks from? I recognized the witch hunter but the man with the reapeter pistol was also new to me.
Keep the pictures coming and I hope your recovery is going well

| Greetings Fellow Travelers of the Old World!
Thank you very much to Forum Elders Spectre76 and Alex for the kind words. I shall endeavor to keep the pictures of my projects coming especially inasmuch as your warm reception serves to inspire me more.
@Alex:
Jared Cain (the one with the cigar and the trench coat and armed with a blunderbuss) is actually Privateer Press' Alten Ashley. He is from the Hordes line and is a member of the minions faction.
Bruiser Boom (the big guy with the repeater rifle) is Privateer Press' Bull the Bounty Hunter. He is the other half of the Dannon Blythe and Bull unit from the Mercs faction of Warmachine.
Baltasar Altmann, the Witch Hunter (the guy wearing the tench coat and armed with the repeater pistol) is also from Privateer Press. He is Harlan Phinehas Versh, the illuminated one. He is a character from the Mercs faction of Warmachine.

| Greetings Fellow Travelers of the Old World! Mordheim attracts all sorts of colorful characters... Joachim Burkhart is an eccentric adventurer from Talabecland who fancies himself as a blademaster.He is the son of a Tilean Merchant who made his fortune in Talabecland selling hard-to-find products from exotic lands such as Ind and Cathay. Joachim was initially groomed by his father to follow in his footsteps and accordingly, he was sent to Altdorf to learn commerce and trade. Eventually, Joachim took over the business and was successful in making the business grow into a considerable empire with various trading posts throughout major cities of the empire including Mordheim. When the twin tailed comet destroyed Mordheim, Joachim saw in this an opportunity to become an adventurer under the guise of protecting his father's business interests. Thus, Joachim left the comforts of a merchant's life and exchanged it for the rugged but exciting life of an adventurer in the City of the Damned... | |

| This miniature is my first LAM ministure... I bought this some time ago as part of the Brugelburg wave deals but I could not bring myself to paint it on account of the fact that the miniatures are so characterful, I felt that my current painting skill level would not do justice to the miniature. However, in view of the growing population of my medieval village, I felt that there was a need to introduce more characters. Thus, I decided to "brave the challenge" and paint at least one LAM miniature. Obviously, there is much to do in terms of improving the paint and the color scheme on this particular miniature and personally, I am still unhappy with the way it looks but I shall try to work further on it this coming weekend and see if I could still improve this somewhat... | |

| Joachim is a VERY COOL mini, & your brushwork is up to the challenge. He looks to be more of a "want to be" Adventurer than an Adventurer in actuality...fits the background nicely. VERY WELL DONE! I also have quite a few minis that remain unpainted due to the intimidation factor. I'm overcoming it simply because "it's now or never" time for moi. | |

| Lots of characterful minis in this log, and well-painted. Just one thing, if you're doing historical Mordheim, the Colleges weren't around yet, as they were founded after the Great War in 2304 or thereabouts, while Mordheim was destroyed in 2000 IC | |

| Greetings Fellow Travelers of the Old World! I have to say thank you to all the comments made herein. I know I have said this but let me say this again... for the sake of the new members of the lurkers/guests in this forum... Tom's Boring Mordheim Forum is really the nicest forum around in os far as our subject matter is concerned. Its members are composed of some of the friendliest, talented, creative and wonderful people I know AND I am truly honored to be member hereof. As a hobbyist/painter, I must give credit for my present skill level to the critiques and comments that I have received here as well as the many sources of creative inspiration scattered herein. In terms of immersion in the lore of the Warhammer world, this very forum has provided with me with a considerable amount of information and background fluff AND has likewise directed me to the right sources. I am still learning... I am still growing... I am still evolving. Thank you guys! @ DeafNala: You are indeed a wise man my friend. Personally, I find your mind to be a treasure trove for creative inspiration. Hence your inputs and insights are always appreciated! My one prayer for the two of us would be a longer life to paint our miniatures and to be there for our respective "Matthews." @ Joao: I think you did a spectacular job with Horug and Snif! I do appreciate the fact that you understand my trepidation in painting beautifully sculpted minis BUT as the sagely DeafNala said, it's now or never! I hope to see more of your works dear friend! I am now a huge fan of Gandaroth! @ Pervavita: Thanks a lot for the assuring and encouraging words. @ Vissah: I am pleased to know that you approve of what I have done so far... @ Unwanted: Thank you very much for the information. I truly appreciate the correction. This is precisely why I love this forum... I grow and learn new things every time. Please fell free to visit my threads from time to time if only to point out any inconsistencies I may make in the development of the background for my characters and miniatures. I guess that's it. I received a lot of new stuff from LAM and Fenryll in the mail over the weekend and I am eager to paint them when I am able. I hope to post them and share them with you guys as as soon as they are done! | |

| There's some really creative stuff going on in this thread. I'd love to see the ogre in the empire ranks, in the above pics, up close. He appears to have an eye patch and a big hammer. Ogre bodyguards are my favorite hired sword and I feel that each of my warbands need one. He looks like a pretty mean customer. | |
