Well I've been been around this fantastic forum for a while now, and think it's time for me to participate in the WIP posting. So here's my Bounty Hunter for now.

Equipment: Sword, dagger, pistol, crossbow, heavy armor, helmet, rope & hook and a lantern.

The basic's done. I've build it up from a Empire Greatsword with the head from the General sprue, sword (not the arm) from Empire State Troops and the pistol from the Outriders sprue. I wanted it to be a bit more heavy armor so I added some chainmail and some shoulders. More to come when the greenstuff's dry.

Now it's time for comments...cheers

Nice work. The extra armor is a nice touch, and the arms look good. I would like to see how this looks when it is painted.

VERY WELL DONE! The Old Guy is armed to the teeth...appropriately enough. Although the colors are subdued, you have some bright spots to keep it interesting. The flesh tones look good & the facial expression hold a lot of character. thumbsup

Well done! As others have said, the banner is a nice touch. The model's got a lot of contrast which makes it pop, in lieu of having somewhat modest colour tones. The armour is well painted as well, with the little scratches and smudges.

I love the way the Empire plastics mix together, giving endless possibilities. For fantasy figures, there is nothing else remotely as flexible as GW's Empire plastic sets.

I like the figure a lot... except I will vote against the majority and say I don't care for the banner. You did a great job painting it, but if I was exploring a danged dangerous place like Mordheim, having to scramble over ruins, duck into creaky ruined buildings, etc., I don't think I would fancy having that thing stuck on my back...

nice job! I approve of your creaticity!
though rational thought has to agree with mweaver, from an aesthetic point of view the banner is top notch! (and isn't that what counts the most?)

I was thinking the same thing about the banner, but it looks so nice, and add a little extra to the mini, that makes it pop out from the rest of the group... Thats my whole idea of Hired Swords. But yes, not very practical in the ruins.

Chiming in on the back banner...much as it pains me to disagree with my Fellow Texan, the back banner is precisely the sort of thing that appeals to me about Mordheim. It's a FINE example of the way reality is twisted in the concept art...the Old Guy could have just stepped out of one of the illustrations that grace the Rule Book. Realism & practicality are the creatures of historical gaming; in Mordheim, strange, bizarre, & cool are where it's at. Suspect

All are VERY COOL! Of course as a Goblin Guy, I think the Little Green One has a slight edge in the coolness thingy.; otherwise the Priest of Taal would be in first...VERY in keeping with the Mordheim feel.
The skin tones on the Barbarian look EXCELLENT! Keep on keeping on! thumbsup

Another vote here for the back banner fitting in with Mordheim perfectly!

I love it! And if I ever finish my Hireling Agency project I might have to use it for inspiration when I get round to modelling my motley collection of Hired Swords (all 100 of them! Smile )

Love the Priest of Taal too, must admit I took the easy way out on mine and acquired an OOP Amber Wizard Smile
