| Greetings Fellow Travelers of the Old World! I am presently working on a unit of Hand-gunners for my Empire Army and accordingly, I needed a standard bearer for the unit and I would like to share it with the TBMF community... This is Hans Heiligkanonier... The miniature is from GW's present plastic handgunner set painted in the colors of Talabheim of red and white. The left side of the banner represents the Maiden of Talabheim who is painted on the foreground while holding a sword to her face where the words, " none shall pass" is engraved. The symbol of the Talabheim crater wall is likewise painted amidst a red background. The reverse side of the banner on the other hand portrays the classic Karl Franz skull on a patterned red background. The Reikland Cross is likewise emblazoned on the upper right side and is a representation of Talabheim's allegiance and declaration of loyalty to the Emperor. I hope you guys like it... | |

I tought the same! Someone could say "Talabheim, a place where a woman knows her place." ...with a bit of chauvinism... ...just joking ladies...no need to kill me. Excellent stuff...as always!

| Greetings Fellow Travelers of the Old World!
The apparent "band-aid on the mouth of the Talabheim maiden" in the banner was intentional.
After having recently acquired a copy of Terror in Talabheim, I wanted to convey a subtle message relating to the continuing silence of Countess Elise Kreiglitz-Untern regarding the apparent disappearance of Elector Count Halmut Feuerbach, hence the "speak-no-evil" look of the banner.
The Kreiglitz-Untern family is a wealthy and powerful family in Talabheim society but their family's meteoric rise to power is perceived by others to be too sudden and too calculated indicating that their family's rise to power may have been nefariously orchestrated by the unexplained disappearance of the Elector Count especially if you consider that the captain of the Elector Count's Greatsword unit which served as Feuerbach's bodyguard during the Storm of Chaos campaign belonged to the Kreiglitz-Untern family.
In my humble opinion, these small details creates points of interests which gives the story-teller in me the opportunity to expound on my army.
Thank you for the C&C guys! I truly appreciate it.

I most heartily agree. A well done mini, particularly in an evocative setting, should tell a story. With the W.H.F.B. stuff having a Renaissance motif, the storyline can have a delightfully twisted flow to it...as a delightfully twisted Old Man, I approve.

| Greetings Fellow Travelers of the Old World! I am now working on a Halberdier regiment and accordingly, I would like to share the regiment's Standard bearer... Here's a view of the left side of the banner displaying the colors of Talabheim and the initials of the Emperor. Here is the right side with the Empire skull. The banner also displays the battle cry of the Post Storm of Chaos army of Talabheim, " For Elise!" The Regiment Standard Bearer with the Regiment Drummer/Musician The Regiment Standard Bearer with the first line of halberdiers. I would also like to point out the these miniatures are rather old (6th edition). I saw them at a hobby flea market. The figures were poorly assembled and badly painted but I wanted to rescue them, so I ended up buying them. I tried to strip off the paint but due to the poor condition of the figs, I was worried that I may end up destroying what small details were left so I simply decided to paint over the old colors. I also replaced the arms with the new molds in order to give them a fresh and more contemporary look. I hope you guys like what I did with them. | |

| A wave of creativity has taken over me this past week end and I ended up with a new Banner for my ever-growing Dwarf Army... Some time ago, I did a similar banner showing my interpretation of the Warhammer Dwarf Ancestral God, Grugni. As distinguished from the somber-looking Grugni shown above, I wanted to portray Grimnir in a more dynamic and expressive manner. Here is close-up... I hope you guys like it... | |

| That's a FINE carry over from your sketches. I can imagine the visage changing with the mood of the unit carrying it or the other way around. VERY WELL & IMAGINATIVELY DONE!

| Greetings Fellow Travelers of the Old World! With my recent work on the Dwarven Steam Tank and the positive responses to the "Grimnir Banner", I decided to replace the existing banner on the steam tank. I wanted to come up with an appropriate banner that reflected Grimnir's Wrath and this is what I came up with... I hope you guys like it! | |
