| Hired swords are fun to use, and they are a great opportunity to play around with bits and green stuff! Tiliean Marksman This is a pretty straight forward empire militia man with three "things" done to him. 1 I've combined a crossbow with the but of a pistol to make a fancier weapon(I've seen someone else around here do it for some witch hunters, I belive), I also added the quiver from the dwarf sprue and a scarf of green stuff. Big Game Hunter Pretty much all empire militia, with rope made from green stuff and gun barrell made from some spear or another I had laying around. Warlock More Empire Militia. The hat and the coat are both sculpted in greenstuff and the head of the staff comes straight from the old skeleton sprues. I was inspired to make this model after watching Harry Potter. I never liked the pointed wizards hats untill I saw the Sorting Hat. It wasn't som fancy mark of office but rather old, worn and beat up. It looked like something made to keep the rain of someones head (also, Terry Pratchetts descriptions of what you can use a hat for realy helped =). Duelist Again, militia. The rapier blade was made from a pin drilled in to the hilt (or rather, I heated the pin and pushed it in), with makes it realy strong so it won't break off (it also makes it very sharp so be carefull if you try this). I originaly made this as a carachter for Warhammer Fantasy Roleplay. Imperial Assassin The legs and torso are skaven, the head is catachan and the arms are militia. It's an old conversion that was inspired by one of the drawn pictures in the mordheim rule book (the fat guy juggling with knives. Although I only gave him one pegleg =). Johan the Knife Yet more militia. This is a very straight forward guy, the only "work" was to add a skaven cloak and file down a sword into a large dagger. Still, I like how he turned out =) Sorry about the focus, though. Ogre Body Guard Ah, one of my most ambitous convertions. The entire thing is based on an Ork Boy, though in the end, there isn't much plastic left showing =) I had to lengthen the legs and the arms, and also make the feet longer and thicker. In the end, the the only thing that's realy "ork" left is the upper arms, the hands and the axe blade. Oh, and the lower jaw. The sword on his back as well as all the ropes are also green stuff (yes, the sword is enourmus. I realy should have had the model next to me when I made to get som scale in it =). The rest of the bits in his pack is from various sprues and such.

| It's all nice, though they look even better in game. Day light is your friend. I haven't seen all of these before, so you'll have to produce them when we play next time... | |

| First off, I REALLY like your work, both in this thread & elsewhere; AND sianpaa & I are on the same page [ QUICK flip to another page, sianpaa ] with this one: the Duelist, Assassin, & Ogre ROCK! I LOVE the duelist's sword... VERY NICE bit of fabrication. All VERY WELL DONE! From my perspective the ABSOLUTE BEST THING about Mordheim, Necromunda, et al is the individualistic appearance of the minis...painting minis that all look exactly the same is both a bore & an exercise in mind numbing drudgery. Nothing quite emphasizes this aspect like the hired sword & Dramatis Personae. | |

| Took some more pictures this eavning: Bard Made from empire militia. The lute is from a bretonian model. Troll Slayer and Elf Ranger Both are just old warhammer quest plastic miniatures that got a quick paint jobb to make sure I had some hired swords availible. | |

| I think that the Assassin has some very subtle, and therefore successful, use of green stuff in the double chin area! Also i am stealing your design for a Duelist! | |

| OOOOOO...more COOL minis! The thing that makes your minis is the amount of personality/character you work into each piece. VERY CREATIVELY DONE! | |

| To be perfectly honest, I stole the duelist idea from the mordheim rulebook =) In the collor section of the printed one they have a guy with a sword made from a pin =) | |

His clothes are very unhalflinglike, which is only fitting for a thief. If I only had perseverance enough I'd let you teach me the ways green stuffing. | |
