| Thanks for the great feedback! I'm really glad I could put down my XboX controller long enough to build this More new stuff is coming soon! - Quote :
- I can't believe you used the ANTENOCITY'S gargoyles in the gallow's LEGS where they can barely be seen! I'll KILL to get my hands on a couple of those sets (They're out of stock for several weeks now), Man, I hate you .
Those are actually casts made with plaster... I've used quite a lot of those in my project (as can be seen in previous posts) and this saves me a lot of money... I ordered the originals (one set) a few years back and made a mold of them. All my buildings feature those supports, even my bridges and now my gallow. In total I think I've used at least a hundred! The casts are not perfect, many have at least a single bubble, but when painted, they look very good! - Quote :
- Making the trap to REALLY work with the lever is GENIOUS!
I know... It's really fun to play with. A new building is being constructed as we speak. Pics shouldn't be to far away...

| Last week I gave my finished building a wash of Devlan Mud (using the Citadel spray gun)... As you can see, the wash really toned the bright colors down a bit. The base clearly shows the difference. Now all it needs is a little highlight of brown on the beams... The next building is also getting a wash, but not with the spray gun but with a brush so I don't have to touch up the beams afterwards... For your convenience I digged up a pic before the wash so you can see the difference. Before... After... As always, your feedback is greatly appreciated, so please let me know what you think... | |

| Congratulations for your wonderful table and your magnificent buildings. Many of us have envy I went crazy with doors that work. I will copy the idea You say you've tested the table to play, but I believe that such high buildings may hamper a little the game .. you know .. to put your hands on the streets... I insist: is my humble opinion. | |

| I almost kissed the women who delivers our mail... Why? The parcel prom Thomarillion arrived! As promised, I will show you what I got... After unwrapping and unpacking the parcel (man, are these Germans thorough , which is good, because most things are a bit fragile) I managed to shoot these pics... All metal bitz, tables, candle holders, bottles and much, much more... loads of furniture, bookcases, a desk, beds and loads of other things... Three Dwarf statues (got two of each) and a pillar (they are for a themed board I'm planning to do)... As the order wasn't complete (some metal bitz were out of stock, no problems), there will be a smaller package within a week or two containing a load of metal tables and benches. | |

| This may be considered "Threadomancy" - but I recently started work on my own Mordheim buildings again and turned here for inspiration. I just want to say (again) how incredible all of this is and I refuse to leave this thread alone until a picture of the completed table is posted.
Please don't let me down, Boreas.

| I want to echo CygnusMaximus; finding this thread back in December was a great inspiration to start building my own terrain. I also looked to the design of the buildings and the use of Hirst Arts blocks and decided I wanted a table like yours (only better, of course ). Tomorrow we're starting a campaign with a day-long Mordheim session. 6 guys, three tables and loads of scenery (I've built about 10 buildings in the last couple of months). Partly thanks to becoming so enthused by this thread. So c'mon, show us the progress! | |

| You know what time it is? It's UPDATE time!!! I know, it has been a long time since the last decent update (in fact, it's so long ago that I don't have the courage to check the date) I'm quite ashamed that I kept you waiting all this time... It's good to see that so many people kept following this thread even as it was dormant for so long... During the last few days I've spent a few hours painting my board... Roughly half of it is done now. The other half still needs some more grey paint, but only to mask some little white spots I seem to have missed earlier (those plaster tiles are a real bitch when it comes to painting). The entire board needs drybushing and detailing, but that shouldn't take too long... As you can see I also started work on the canal. I applied two layers of paint already, one pure green and the second a mixture of green, brown, beige and a little bit of black... Unfortunately, as I continued painting the stonework, some grey paint found it's way onto the canal... Oh well, I guess that shall have to wait until the rest of the board is done. I forced a friend to paint the trees. After a little bit of work, these will be finished, too. I also painted a tomb to go with the board. It needs drybrushing, but otherwise it's done... Some older folks may recognise the tomb as the one from Heroquest (good old times). And yes, I also made a mold to cast this one... In the next post I will show you some pics of painted statues...

| @ Hasselt: I expect an invitation the next time you guys plan a Mordheim campaign... After all, Utrecht is not that far from where I live... A few pics of the painted statues... A very simple paint scheme (Boltgun metal washed with Devlan Mud) but quite effective... These are just the firts few statues. Some may remember, but I intend to include lots of those, or, to put it another way, I want more statues then they have at Ceasar's Palace... | |

fantastic scenery and great work in progress shots, i love the amount and attention to detail you have done but agree with the comments about the houses looking to clean, if you dont want to put permenant rubble on them try making some on a small concealed base and place when required, also i like to dry brush camo green on my scenery to give a aged mossy look, as soon as i dry brush on a rub my finger over the paint and it tones it down and blends it in at same time, i will be attaching some pictures shortly of my mordheim scenery BUT fantastic board and i too may steal some ideas keep up the good work

| Thanks for the feedback. Feel free to steal whatever ideas you want... Or, as we say around here, beter goed gejat dan slecht bedacht (which translates as; better to steal a good idea then to come up with a bad one yourself) or something like that...
My only painted house has been washed with Devlan mud, and I can assure you, it's not that clean anymore... There should be pics on the previous page. The furniture is long gone, shipped those thing to my dungeon. I am considering adding rubble, but I'm still not sure.
