| The Thomarillion site has lots of that stuff, I think it great to use it. It really finishes the total look of the scenery alltogether. | |

| No paint this time, but a load of new components for my modular dungeon... Using my baby for a few games of Mordheim really rekindled my enthusiasm for this froject. Fear not, the city is not forgotten, buildings are being prepped for paint... In total I've made 14 new rooms and hallways, from very small (6 square inch) to very big (60 square inch). I've also cast some more doors as can be seen on the picture below. This is a cast of a self made mold of a door I made from Hirst pieces. I needed a lot of those, so I figured it would be worthwhile to make a mold of the first one and just cast the others... Apart from one or two tiny bubbles, the cast works very well, the rubber really copies all details. Two doors glued together make a finished door... As can be seen here, the door fits the frame. It's not a tight fit, which is good, because the door should be easy to remove during play... I've made about 15 finished doors already, as much as I have finished door frames. And some close ups of of two nice pieces... I also spent some time casting more barrels and crates for some loot/barricades so a new update shouldn't be to far away! | |

Well, I'm not aiming to sell anything, but I can always cast some extra barrels and stuff... The only problem might be the fact you live all the way in Italy. Give it a thought and if you want, hit me with a PM.

| Really nice stuff, I think I got some simular stuff waiting for me at my postoffice here in my home town. I can post back when I get them and cast a few sets. Because you make every singel block right? cuz that the kind of stuff I got, I think ^^ Hard to know since I do not really have them right now. Ah and before I forget, can you tell me how you did the mold of the door? Thanks Reiklanders ftw | |

I use Hirst Arts molds, and yes, you have to cast every single block... It takes some time, but it also delivers result! - Quote :
- Ah and before I forget, can you tell me how you did the mold of the door? Thanks
The door started out as a bunch of plaster planks from a Hirst mold which I glued together using the smaller planks. Then I sanded the back and marked the shape of an arch. The (rough) shape was then cut off and sanded smooth. After details, such as the nails and doorhandle, were added the door was ready for use in a mold. The stuff I use for making my own molds is a high grade two component rubber. One part rubber and another part hardener. I glued the door to a piece of MDF, made a frame of LEGO bricks and taped the underside so the frame would stay in place. Calculate how much rubber is needed to make the mold and mix the components. I use a brush to cover the object I want to duplicate. This way there will be no air bubbles. Fill the rest of the mold and leave it to cure for about 24 hours... Here at Hirst Arts there is a full step-by-step guide on how to make your own molds, including pictures. Hope it helps, because making your own molds is very fun and can give you loads of new possibilities besides the Hirst molds... - Quote :

There may VERY WELL be a line of dark cloaked figures forming outside his home at this moment.

| A real artist, indeed. A sincere artist is not one who makes a faithful attempt to put on to canvas what is in front of him, but one who tries to create something which is, in itself, a living thing. What I'd admire most in some artists is that, they create the appearance of things, not their objective correctness, and even create new appearances of things. --------------------------------- How intelligent are you? | I think I am in love If you didn't live halfway across the globe, I would invite you for a game... Thank you for your kind words, though I hardly feel I deserve them... Hobby related activity is kind of slow at the moment... It's very busy at school (which, to me, is work, as I'm a teacher). I recently got 10 extra pupils from another class and they keep me quite occupied... Furthermore I had to finish my Sinterklaassurprise. What I did manage to do, is prepare some more buildings for painting... In two weeks I have another vacation, which means more time for the hobby! Hopefully I can get something done... And welcome to the Dutch guy! | |

| At the moment I am already planning to furnish various rooms for a purpose... It just adds so much more depth to the game (both Mordheim and Roleplay). However, the most important issue for me is adaptability, but, as most of the furniture and clutter is to be movable, this shoulnd't be a big problem. A library/study, kitchen, bedrooms, prison, brewery/tavern and grand hall are some of the type's I'm preparing. And of course, a lot of storage rooms... This should be even more impressive once I get my next order from the guys at Thomarillion! Thanks for the feedback! And now for something completely different... I've made a gallows for use in Mordheim and (more importantly) Roleplay... One of FBI's (my regular gaming buddy) characters has been taken prisoner and awaits hanging. So, without further ado, I proudly present... As can be seen in the pictures it's a nice little piece of work, with movable hatch, convieniently placed below the unfortunate person soon to be hung from a rope... With the flick of a switch the hatch drops to treat our victim to a short drop and a sudden stop Your feedback is greatly appreciated, so please let me know what you think... | |

| Thanks! It almost makes hanging a person sound fun! Let 'em swing! Added a hook and a pamphlet (no doubt listing the various crimes comited by the soon to be dead person)... A bit more detailing should be in order... And a few pics of the highly developed mechanism that triggers the trapdoor... Your feedback is greatly appreciated, so please let me know what you think. | |

| I can't believe you used the ANTENOCITY'S gargoyles in the gallow's LEGS where they can barely be seen! I'll KILL to get my hands on a couple of those sets (They're out of stock for several weeks now), Man, I hate you . Making the trap to REALLY work with the lever is GENIOUS! Do you have any plans to come to Mexico with all your WONDERFUL scenery to have a game? Best wishes. | |
