| Don't worry guys. The end of a campaign just means a brief period to make new scenery (and who doesn't love that?), then the start of the next campaign! I for one can't bare to go without a regular fix of tabletop tomfoolery. | |

- Seal of Sigmund Campaign Endgame Scenario: ‘Make for the harbour!’
The dastardly orcs known as Da Skullbashas have grabbed the Seal of Sigmund and are attempting to leave Sartosa and make off with it! Collaboration with Defgit’s pirates is suspected. Nearly every other warband that has been after the Seal is fighting to get to the harbour before they can escape. But as they near the harbour, it becomes clear that they’re not the only ones who don’t want the Seal to leave Vercuso…

| 28th April, the year nine. Somewhere in the mountains, northern coast of Araby. Scheming Swashbucklers Scatter Spiteful SistersVultures circled overhead, they closely watched a small group of pirate Orcs. Kommodore Deffgit, in turn, scanned the desert plain below them through his spyglass. After a few minutes he found what he was looking for – a supply caravan slowly working its way across the scorched sands. “Roight. There’s the prize mate!” he said to Salty Ogbad as he passed the telescope. “If’n we can bring that back to the fleet we won’t be seemin’ too shabby.” “I recon we should go in strong and loud – scare ‘em into givin’ up the loot.” said Salty as he scrutinized the train of beasts and their overseers. The Kommodore looked at the heavily scarred Orc out of the corner of his eye. “No mate, we get close without bein’ seen and cut their froats afore they can even get frightened. Elsewise they’ll just run off with the greater part of the plunder!” he said with an evil grin. Salty sniggered “Ah, I got ya. Not like that time we murderised them Sisters of Sigmar an’ nicked their treasure chests? Y’know? – that day they was all keen to jump off of high buildings!” “Yeah. Not like that. This’ll take a power more cunnin’.” said Deffgit. ~ ~ ~ Sea Gulls circled overhead, they closely watched a small group of pirate Orcs. Kommodore Deffgit, in turn, scanned the town below them through his spyglass. After a few minutes he found what he was looking for – a group of robed figures were picking over the ruins, searching for abandoned riches. They had found four small strongboxes; they were locked and looked heavy: Worth investigating, especially if it meant a fight to get at them. “Roight. There’s the prize mate!” he said to Salty Ogbad as he passed the telescope. “If’n we can bring that back to the fleet we won’t be seemin’ too shabby.” “I recon we should go in strong and loud – scare ‘em into givin’ up the loot.” said Salty as he scrutinized the strongboxes. “Yeah, that’ll do it.” the Kommodore laughed, then raised his voice “Roight ladz! Get ‘em!” The Ogresuns jumped to their feet and sprinted through the rubbled-strewn streets and alleys towards the treasure. As they rounded the walled garden Stormy Trug started ranting and gibbering at Dread Pirate RogUrtz about how many drinks he felt were owed him. RogUrtz took offence at Stormy’s bitter remarks and clubbed the weasely git to death! The action centred around the ruined Cod and Cutlass inn, the sisters took up vantage points on the first floor when they heard the shouts of the approaching green buccaneers, they would have loosed sling-stones on their attackers but a steady hail of fire from the pirates kept their heads down. In the Cod and Cutlass two Sisters leapt from the ruin’s first floor, a double diving charge towards the small group of pirates below. One landed nimbly, hammers swirling, ready for the fight; the other awkwardly, stumbling against the ladder behind her. A masculine Sister ran out onto the jetty and grabbed an unguarded strongbox – the Sigmarites may have left it there waiting for a boat to come in and take them out of Vercuso; a boat that seemed unlikely to arrive before the pirates overwhelmed them! The Matriarch charged into the celebrating Orcs in the Cod and Cutlass but was fended off long enough for the main strength of the sea-dogs to arrive. Barnacle Nog was knocked over the head and fell insensible to the ground. But before his assailant could finish him off the Matriarch gave the order to fall back. Moments later the Ogresuns were alone - the Sisters having quit the docks. ~ ~ ~ | |

| Magnificent! Absolutely exemplary. From the quality of the models and scenery to the story line and creative writing that helped form a convincing and compelling campaign. A fantastic read. | |

- The Slipppery Fishwife – Final Issue
Scream, dear readers. All is lost, all is crumbling. Flee this cursed land while you still can. Those of you who still live, head for the beaches and the cliffs and find passage there. Do not go near the docks. As we write this our dockside offices are besieged by the dead. They clamour at our doors. We do not know how long they will hold. Fiends scuttle across our rooftops and burst through our windows. We have fought them back, but they still assail us. As our last act we distribute this warning to you, our dearest readers, via our noble carrier pigeons.
Some of the invaders have left, but still some remain, and they shall make their dash for freedom tomorrow. It will all culminate at our harbour. Vercuso is ruined. For fifty years it will lie thus, and only after such a time will it be rebuilt to its former glory, because of these 'adventurers'.
We must cut this article short, dear readers, for a crash has echoed from downstairs and I fear they have broken through.
It has been our pleasure to report to you, and to be your bastion of clarity and unbiased journalism. Remember us, dear readers, and speak well when we are mentioned.

| Beloved Vecuso, definitely! Don't wory about the 50 years thing - this one was set 50 years ago, and the Slippery Fishwife staff writers are infamously inaccurate in their predictions... Apart from the one about the cat. The big finale game starts in five hours - hopefully someone will take a camera!! I'm still gutted I can't make it. | |

- Yes, it was crazy.
Viktor came on on turn two via Da Hogwasha - a move which we thought would give him the advantage - but half his warband wiped itself out trying to unboard. Some halflings shot, some ninjorcs shot, some sisters shot and some zombies died. So far gravity had scored the most kills.
It started to get bloody after that. The zombie horde of the necromancer was chopped to bits and everybody made a dash for the harbour, including the necromancer.
There was more killing, a bit of hand to hand. Some halflings jumped in the potty and popped out the sewerage pipe. A few more orcs toppled into the water after dismounting the boat. The dark elves had just turned up so things started to get interesting. As Phil donned his cycling gear and called it a day, most of the warriors were within distance to start laying into each other.
We were all in it pretty much to the end, albeit with with slightly diminished numbers. Tim and Liam had a tiny battle going, with Viktor trying to fight them off. Viktor's orc had the Seal, then Liam's orc, then Tim's dark elf, who was promptly shot and dropped it into the clutches of a waiting hound below, who was then mashed by Joe sisters.
Joe, having been march blocked pretty much all game, had the greater numbers and Tim's elf thought it might be a good idea to call it a day. At 1am we finally left the Mill, having declared Joe the winner.
