| Eliazar reporting: Some of us didn't feel like doing a proper battle in the evening, so we set up an arena and invented some rules for vivious dogifghting. Basically, it's dogs pitted against a minotaur, bets are on and the dogs try to kill the beast. In the first fight, the minotaurkilled all but Nigek's dog, who then killed him. I'd like to point out that Ezekiel's dog was smashed right against the wall and took an S6 hit In round second, which is still on, my dog got killed in the first turn, and Ezekiel's just triggered a spiky trap... and survived. My bet is lost, but we'll see who wins. After that, it's perhaps real pitfighting | |

| Eliazar's happy (for once) report: I don't know about any monkeys from hell, but the pirates kicked ass today! On the village table, we had a massive 4 1/2 hour fight of Ezekiel's witch hunters, JohnYoung's reiklanders and Eliazar's pirates. We played a new scenario we just invented, a necromancer with a horde of ghouls and skeletons tried to capture a High Elf tower which was guarded by 4 city guards. The Reiklanders and Witch Hunters pretty quickly got into combat, but the pirates got somewhat stuck in their quarter: to the one side, there were tons of reiklander shooting weapons and a ghoul (who killed of my captain in the first (!) round, who subsequently died for good (this is my 4th dead hero and 8th overall casualty) and to the other was a vicious sister of Sigmar, whom I encountered when entering a building (we played with random encounters at the start of each phase as well as when entering a building). Fortunately, my other heroes finished off the ghoul and the took the sister out of action (and she had awesome stats, skills and equipment!). Then I hung around the building while the witch hunters fought a lot of rounds with 4 models against a ghoul and the reiklanders and remaining witch hunters clustered around the necromancers and some more ghouls, with the guards joining in and crazy fighting for ages Meanwhile, one of John's swordsmen fell into he catacombs (random encounter again, so we decided to set up an underground section as well), but when he finally made it, Jiang Wei ended his life. The dog charged the reikland archers, who were shooting volleys of arrows from the side, killed one and locked two others up in combat for several rounds. The flagellants wreacked havoc, too, and John had to rout in the end (even though he had 13 models and a warband rating of 152, hehe), and Ezekiel and I decided to end the bloodshed and declare a joint win! For me, this was the best battle of the weekend (not counting chariot racing and dogfighting, which were also awesome), it took so long but it did not feel like more than 4 hours at all. | |

| Hi guys! Also finally had time to post! I just wanted to thank everyone for coming to the meeting, it was great fun indeed! Especially a big THANK YOU to Ezekiel for hosting the entire event! In total I managed to play 4 games. And also one Chariot Race, which is surprisingly won! All games where great, but especially the 2nd game I played against JohnYoung and MagnoliaFan. We did the Giant Tree scenario with the Saplings.. Although we didn't have a Giant Tree, we decided we'd do a Giant Mushroom! We managed to kill 2 Saplings out of 3, and got 2 wounds from the Giant Mushroom! Inventually JohnYoung routed after I killed 3 of his henchmen. MagnoliaFan and I managed to stay alive for some more turns, but inventually got to rout at the same time! We both failed.. All and all, it was FUN! Badger, badger, badger, badger, badger, badger, badger, badger, badger, badger, badger, badger, MUSHROOM MUSHROOM! | |

| Hurray for the boss's time... Just a short message for all of you who attended the weekend
THANK YOU FOR MAKING IT SUCH A GREAT EXPERIENCE!
I really had a blast playing such good games of fun, friendship, and quite a bit of fail... and even though it was rather crowded, I think we all managed to get along great. Can't wait till the next meeting? MagnoliaFan, I completely forgot to give you your little reminder on saturday! so I might need your adress to send it? - or you need to host a battle soon? | |

| Ohoh !!! I want to thanks all of you guys too !!! It was a great boring moment, with foolish guys (I think I was the only "normal" one, just because I travelled 4 hours to go to the event ), some good beers (just Heineken, but it's sufficient for a 10a.m. beer) and smelly cheeses I brought with me (and they are not so smelly at all ). Special thanks for Matt ("Mr Potatoe") that let me sleep in his cage 2 nights long without torturing me , for Ezekiel that hosted the event in his very large flat , and a special sorry for Pfreck that actually wants my estalian... I hope I have changed a little bit your opinion about french cheeses and french people : they are smelly (not the people, the cheeses ! ) but they are so GOOD !!! And french guys are alcoholic (no, actually, it's just because I'm a dwarf player )... Shame on me My favourite game was "The pool" scenario against Ezekiel's WH, Matt's Bestmen (just 4 models, that sucks man !) and Eliazar's pirates. Let me tell you the context : flashback. Ezekiel gained the first scenario against me and Pfreck, fleeing the table with at least ten wyrdstone shards, and because of my dwarves movement 3, I couldn't do anything to stop him because Pfreck's Ostlanders and me were deployed on the same board of the table ! So I hate him for bein' a coward (as a good dwarf does, I wrote his name on my grudgetome), but luckily I won a lot of wyrdstone shards too, and could hire my favourite tilean marksman (the one's Tom wanted to bann ). So when the second battle begins, Ezekiel could not be a possible partner against Matt and Eliazar... Now, we come back at the begin of the battle. My deployment zone was just near the pool, so I was very happy, my dwarves would find wyrdstone as quick as the other, even with their Movement 3 !!! But this time, I was unlucky : I was just between Eliazar and Matt ' deployment zone, and Ezekiel is just at the opposite... Damn, how can I beat these two allied warband ? My strategy was to take out of action Matt's beastmen, they're only 4, it was the most easy, even if they have S4 T4, they have a Ld7 ! I have 4 crossbows (1 on my engineer, 2 on thunderers and 1 on tilean marksman), I was hoping my shooting phase could smash one of his member. One of my troll slayer is just as close from the pool, he found a wyrdstone shard at the end of the first turn ! That's a good news, because Matt charged me... Luckily, I survived the first turn, and could counter-charge with my entire warband, except my engineer, who was trying to stop the Eliazar's pirates (specially the handgunners), and the tilean who was duelling with the Ezekiel's witch hunter with crossbow after to take out of action the warrior-priest ! So Ezekiel put a reward on his head : 15 Gc, dead or alive My two thunderers beated the matt's shaman on close combat, and Matt routed ! Yes, my evil plan worked well, now I had to make Ezekiel rout as well, because he was closer and charge my poor troll slayer that had been knocked down by Matt's bestigor... I hated him sooooo much at this time !!! There was a very big close combat on the right side of the table against the witch hunters and my warband. His dogs are on the other side, and passed just appart Eliazar's pirates : DAMN they're allied too !? It was just because Ezekiel wanted to kill my tilean with them, but I easily stopped them with my fierce crossbows Finally, Ezekiel charged one Eliazar's handgunner with two flagellants (another time, he was a coward:lol!: ), the counter-charge of Eliazar killed one of these bastards, and Ezekiel routed voluntary... So now I was in a very good position, just near the pool, I have more ranged weapons and all my warband on the table ! The close combat against Ezekiel was a tie, and now I was no longer stuck on this, I could find a lot of wyrdstone shards, couldn't I ? Eliazar thought the same, and, protected from my bolts by a stupid monkey (cabin boy), he sent all his heroes around the pool... My engineer charged the monkey, made him knocked down, charged another one, letting one of my troll slayer finish the monkey... Noone found wyrdstone on the last turn, and Eliazar prefered to rout voluntary (I think he did well, he was in a bad position to counter-attack). It was a funny game, and my initial bad position was finally my best strength ! A really great fight like I love it ! Thanks again dudes | |

| Well, after a 7 1/2 hour ride, I am back as well, and my "thank you"s will start with... thank you, Ezekiel, for hosting this awesome meeting, and accommodating me (& John), and thank you folks for some awesome games (even though you usually beat the crap out of my warband). And a ver big THANK YOU to Matt, for being even worse than I was On a general review, the event was just so much fun! Everyone was so chilled out, there were no arguments or bad losers, and we did make up so many cool rules. For example, we used the simultaneous turn system, where everyone gets to do their movement phase, then shooting and then CC. After it was a little refined with rolling who goes first at the start of each game turn, it made the movement and shooting much more challenging and speeded up the game for the models not locked in close combat. Then we rolled for random encounters as often as possible, which was awesome as well, and even made up our own final scenario for the village table, which gave us over 4 hours of fun. And, last but certainly not least, we invented the awesome dogfighting game, which will be published soon! I will soon start sorting through all the 300 or so pictures, write up some general battle reports, and then write up some pirate stories!!1 (I think I have to contact Kurgan first, though, so he can tell me how to write up all the lost games so it doesn't show too much ) More to come... | |

| MagnoliaFan, Ezekiel made a little present for everyone I am currently writing up battle reports, in which I will include some of the pictures (this means still a lot ). We have not decided what to do with all of them (we made about 350), but I think it would be best to just put them into a file and host them somewhere. By the way, the report on the Chariot Race is already finished!!! I just have to edit the pictures a little and will upload it tonight. Unfortunately, I've got my exciting "Charity and the Church" lecture at work today,so I won't be home before 6 pm | |
