| Hello, friends. Welcome to my new P&M log of my new warband for the next Boring Meeting This time, it's the protectorate of Sigmar. I have been thinking about this warband since I first read the rules in Letters of the Damned, and even got some models (I thought). However, after a quick look ound, there were not all the models I need available, so I have to invest a little more in our favourite company, I think Anyway, here are some pics.... ...ok, no pics because my friend the uploading programme apparently has some serious issues with whatever and doesn't work. I will try to upload as soon as possible, though. | |

| Wow, so many responses even before I posted any pictures Alright, decided to upload them on Photobucket. First, Francois de L'Anguille, Warrior Priest (he's the leader, for those who are not familiar with the warband). The base is the "Blessing of Sigmar" priest, and I think I will give him a hammer instead of the book in his right hand. Just need to figure out if I can bend the elbow armour a little. Also, he'll get a shield. Next, Hugues de Brionne, Templar Many of you might recognise him, he is made after magnoliafan's awesome conversion. Of course, I need to do some GS work on him. Then, we have the first Acolyte: I went for Valten, as he looks pretty young. He's got a branding of the Comet on his chest, which shows that he's a hot-blooded fanatic. I hope to find some inspiration for a more peaceful second Acolyte who will represent a scholar type of Sigmarite priest. Also, we have the headless archers (I just got bodies, but the nice heads are all used up, so I will have to buy another box...) These are actually amongst my favourite GW sculpts On to some ideas for the crusaders, which will be the main henchmen: I have no idea which way to go with the crusaders, yet. I really like the battle pilgrims, but perhaps a rag-tag mixed band like you can see above (perhaps with one of the Mordheim Witch Hunters) would be nice, too... The Teutogen Guard to the right might even become a hero (with some conversions), but I wanted to have a huntsman instead of a second templar, and I can't imagine him wearing heavy armour And last and least the hounds, standard Mordheim doggies: I don't like them and are looking for alternatives. Of course, there are the small one that come with the Bretonnian peasants, but they are really small.... I love the Confrontation dogs, but did not find any place yet where they are still available What is troubling me most, though, is the bases... with the pirates, it was easy, but now... no idea yet, and no experiences with basing (except for wooden planks) either. So any good suggestions would be welcome. I might go with a desert theme, as most of my other warbands-in-planning and the pirates would fit in there, too. C&C are, of course, welcome and appreciated as always | |

| COOL STUFF! These suckers ARE going to look UBERCOOL! The Bretonnian minis are IDEAL for a Crusader War Band, but, since they are Sigmarite Crusaders, why all the French names? At any rate, looking forward to the progress reports... ANOTHER GOOD REASON TO GET OUT OF BED IN THE MORNING...kind of . | |

| Yeah, of course Bretonnian and Sigmarite doesn't fit, unless.... you have an errant knight who was trudging around the dessert looking for the lady, almost getting killed by some pointy-eared corsair bastards, when a Sigmarite priest saved his life and he recognised that he did follow the wrong religion all the time... Now, that leaves the questions why the priest has a french name, too, and I might just change that part Thanks for pointing it out The priest and the acolytes could be the sigmarite entourage, with the templar and archers and crusaders being the Bretonnians, and the huntsman is a native... very good. | |

| This HAS possibilities for some REALLY EXCELLENT fluff. It's cool when stories just sort of materialize from the little folk we paint. | |

| Yeah, I'm at home currently and don't have that much to do... and as I did manage to paint my pirates in about the same amount of time while being at work for 9 hours a day, it could be possible. Plus, the meeting is a goal to work towards, which always motivates me, and there is some nice fluff for the fighters already swirling through my mind, making my fingers all itchy... Too bad I will be away today, but tomorrow is prime time (which is, as far as I know, not grammatically correct, but at least a stupid pun) | |

| Phew. Of course, I am nowhere close to my intentional finishing date, which is mostly due to the fact that I need some pressure or I can't get myself to work (it's kind of ADD, I suppose, even though I can work hard when the time has come ). Fortunately, the pressure is now there and thus I present some WIPs. In contrast to my previous warband, which saw only one or two members worked on at the same time, I am now churning my way through all the fighters I currently have at once, which will hopefully save some time with mixing paints, once I reach that stage. OK, now pics: First, the happy news, my almost finished bases (last time, I was doing the ultimate few the night before I left ) The Archers. Note that all the yellow parts in the following pictures are meant to turn into the white of the left archer eventually (which is not finished yet, either). The Chivalry (Templar and Crusaders). The Grail imagery was kind of a pain to remove at times... And last but definitely not least, the Holy Headquarters, Exalted Priest of Sigmar Luthor von X (need to find a cool city still), with his two faithful acolytes Armenius the Fierce and Theophilius von Y (same as above): As you can perhaps see, there is a difference in the skin colour of the Bretonnians and the three Imperial clerics to show that they were initially from different sides | |

| How come I failed so horribly at finding the blog of my nemesis to be?! haha Luthor... you better watch it! Can't wait to see them in real live, though you have some expectations to live up to - as the pirates were awesome! Kind of makes it mandatory for me to post some progress on the merchant caravan I fear... :S | |

Kind of makes it mandatory for me to post some progress on the merchant caravan I fear... :S You better put some extra armour on your trade cart - as you might see, the Protectorate was not too well equipped when leaving their home (some disputes with the local theogonist, I suppose), so they are in dire need of gold!Hopefully, they can live up to the pirates (regarding their look) and even surpass them by far (in game performance, that is... shouldn't be too difficult). And if they don't look good enough, well, you'll be the first one to see them personally, so you can just chain me to your couch until I tidied them up

| NICE PROGRESS! The Lads ARE coming along QUITE NICELY & QUICKLY...considering ALL that galavanting you were doing . They have the look of a band of Pilgrims that have been on the Road to Salvation a LONG, LONG time; the Lads have a LOT of personality. VERY NICE WORK! | |

| Oh, I want a real swivel gun!!! My pirates long to get one.
And the Bretonnian dog is just about the right size, I think, it reaches up to the knee of a normal fighter. Perhaps you can have a look at my pirates, there you'll see how large he really is.

| Hello, trusted readers! While I am feverishly painting my miniatures, I thought about some hired swords I could perhaps use, should my expected success lead to loads of income After reading about the hired swords available, I thought that the bounty hunter is a cool one (hope he's legal), so I just made on: | |
