Yeah, that would be an option. Unfortunately, they are on round bases Sad I'll see what to do, but a basecoat with some drybrushing and washing on my dogs should give a decent look for the meeting.

Too bad my Rackham doggies never arrived, at least I was just in time to let Paypal handle the issue now. Evil or Very Mad

However, I'll take some pics of the current warband first. So stay tuned.

Alright folks... while the Huntsman matt made for me still needs a new spear (the old one mysteriously disappeared from Ezekiel's table and never returned), I can give you some shots of the rest of the warband. They are still not quite finished, as there are some highlights missing on some parts, the eyes need to be painted, the rim of the bases cleaned, and some falling damaged needs to be undone. But apart from that, I think you can get an idea Wink

First of, the warrior priest Luthor von Copher and his first Acolyte Armenius:

Next, the second Acolyte, Theophilius von Nuln. He got a double handed hammer during the campaign (which he used to kick some ogre ass, together with the second Acolyte), so I thought he deserved a modification:

Next, the Crusaders, led by Hugues de Brionne, Sigmarite Bretonnian Knight:

Then my awesome archers, led by LGT Jean the Noseless (guess who he is Wink). They did not really kill anyone during the Siege, but I think they are awesome nonetheless:

And last, 3 of the up to 5 warhounds which served me well in every game:

Ah, I almost forgot that I am also converting a special BTB huntsman for them. I had the kislevite archer torso spare and think it looks rather nice on the legs, slightly out of proportion, but that creates the effect that he's a little bit smaller in built, which is good for Cathayans, I think:

C&C welcome.

Awesome warband, as I probably said on the meeting as well!

Have you decided what you're going to do with the base rims yet? I still think that making them black would tidy them up perfectly. But like Mathieu said, the drybrushed effect adds a bit to the rag-tag background of the warband. Smile

Cheers!

The War Band has a LOT of CHARACTER they look the part of a group of Crusaders who've been on the road a LONG, LONG time. VERY WELL DONE! thumbsup

Lettering Tip: count up the number of letters including spaces ["i"s count as a 1/2 letter]; start in the middle of the base & name & work out in each direction. This should yield a fairly well centered name.

As usual, when I start modelling something, I can't stop working a little on one of the other projects I have...

Here is the beginning of the mounted version of my leader, hopefully, I will one day be able to have a mounted version of all the heroes Very Happy

He will get a cloak over his legs and then the back of the horse will be stuffed with weapons and holy scriptures etc.

The Holy Guy on horseback is turning out very nicely. I had forgotten you're leader was a Warrior Priest. SO, I wandered through the thread for the info...an enjoyable trip. FINE WORK! thumbsup

I love your minis. The colour scheme you chose fits perfect with the warband, while the conversions are pretty cool too.
The mixing of bretonian and empire miniatures for a warrior priest's warband is a thing that I would never have thought about, but now I see the feel of your warband I want to build a similar one for me Smile.
