6-7-8 march 2009: Boring Meeting in Amsterdam!

which led to the Amsterdam Boring Meeting in March!

here's a new thread for all of you with the specific information and signup lists (we had a feeling not everyone was aware)

So:

Boring Meeting
* Where:
Amsterdam - Westerpark, my house (PM me for details on how to get there)

* When:
evening of 6 march till the very late night of 8 march (depends on which bar we find )

* What to do:
Boring battles of mordheim and Chariot Races, and some strolling around town looting the place for food and drinks

* How to get here:
You'd have to find your own means of transportation to my city, but I'm welcome to help you out once you've found it

* What to bring:
- Miniatures (of course) plenty to play a little campaign with, and perhaps some spare. and of course your own rules (sadly I don't have a printer anymore, so bring enough rosters etc.)
- A chariot if you want to join in on the race (though I have 4 over here)
- If you are able, some bits of scenery (I know it would be hard to transport this all the way through europe in a backpack, so this is mainly for the dutch guys)
- Paint and models? as I guess there will be some time to patch up some stuff, and boost your band between battles
- enthousiasm and evil warped minds!

* How to stay here:
I have an extra double matrass which I can put up in the living room, and there is room for bedrolls... alternatively, I have an empty attic if you prefer privacy, or you could stumble into one of the nearby hostels... cost about 25 euros a night

Think that's about all you need for now...

so I still have one couch left, or you could bring a bedroll...

Holidays are already requested - you made your post at the right time

I will be arriving Friday evening and leave Monday morning. Man, now I have to get painting a lot of models to get at least one finished warband... Ah well

Perhaps we should have a little discussion on what rules to use so everyone can get familiar with, or whether we want to play in a special setting, or something?

I really would guys, but work won't allow me to unfortunately, as I work on week ends

I'm located in Haarlem, so that's pretty close to Amsterdam. Can easily be reached by train.

I'll be bringing my (hopefully finished by then) Ostlander warband, a real copy of the Mordheim rulebook, my camera, and some joy!

I'd really love to! Really do! But I can't think of any affordable means of transport to get there - at least none that I can justify when considering my (immense) upcoming expenses on the Tactica convention in Hamburg.

Cianty, when we move to Berlin, we can host a meeting there. It's 2,70 maximum for the tram, if I remember correctly

JohnYoung, I could perhaps bring a warband for you I have some Bretonnians which could be used as mercenaries or outlaws. If you want, I can take some pics of the models and you can set up your warband as you wish

I have undead random encounters, some gobbo's and 2 succubi... does that make a warband?

damn! I wish I could show up....Ezekiel, I saw your terrain on WarSeer, and it would be like a dream coming true to play in a city like that, chariot racing sounds fun too
But even if that was possible for me to show up, it would have to be like April or later spring, or summer, than I'd took my Honda and have nice long ride from Poland to Amsterdam...since I always wanted to see the capital of the free world
