| Repair!?! Goblins don't repair! Cannibalize, perhaps. Improve in ridiculous, improbable ways perhaps. But REPAIR? Wonderful photos. It looks dazzlingly tall. | |

| Thanks for the reply, V.K.! The Beasty is 30" tall; when it was just a Mushroom it was another 6" in height. That got loped off when buildings were added. | |

| That is some seriously high building... As a man with a slight fear of heights, I am getting the jitters from just looking at it. Nice job! |

| Thanks, JoaoS...glad you like it thus far. Now that I'm wrapping up the Sci-Fi terrain for Dr. J.s table, I should be knocking out a few 1' X 1' pieces including O'Leery's Tower & a bunch of minis. | |

| Thanks, Fat Rat! I appreciate the positive feedback. I got off what may be the last of Dr. J's Sci-Fi terrain. I am now free, for the foreseeable future, to do whatever I wish...terrain & miniature that is. OH BABY! | |

| When I moved from Long Island to Texas way back in the Miserable Winter of 2010, I took along a few W.I.P. pieces. This one was supposed to be an extension to the Mordheim boards I had made for erstwhile friend Mack. It's been gathering a thick layer of dust ever since: While I was working on Dr. J's Sci-Fi terrain I kept staring at this board...staring at things is one of those things that Old Men do. I started picturing it as a Froudian/floedebollesque Goblin style Mordheim Slum. SO I added a few more foundations, changed the heights of a few of the existing foundations, finished carving the cobblestones/pavers, added the sewer grates, & did my white on black primer coat: SO this will be another aspect of my ongoing Project. Which part gets more attention God only knows...& He won't spill the beans. Be that as it may, your comments, as always, would be most welcome. | |

| Thanks, V.K.! After the somewhat restricted work on Justin's 40K commission, I'm really enthused about all the various ideas I have for terrain boards & the minis that will be inhabiting them...this ought to keep me out of trouble for quite some time...or not. | |

Look forward to this board develop! _________________ Lord Flasheart: And always remember - if you want something, take it! Bobby! Bob Parkhurst: [enters] My lord? Lord Flasheart: I want something. | Thanks for the kind reply, Ben. I was afraid that the differences in height wouldn't show up in the photos. It's a relief that you noticed.

| That's a very interesting approach to a modular city board (assuming you can move the pieces around as opposed to having them stuck to the cobbled streets). Like said above, I too love the pathways and different levels. This might be yet another valid approach for my own town - or a part of it.
I would love to see more images of your WIP if possible!

Joao Thanks for the reply, JoaoS! While this was originally intended to be a "plug in" board that would extend the existing Mordheim boards I did for Mack, it isn't a modular board for the style gaming I do; i.e., solo gaming. With a solo game points of interest don't have to have the intervening areas where there is nothing going on. Most of the previous boards are set up to use in pairs or three boards together, but can be used as individual settings; e.g., The Graveyard would work great for the Necromancer scenario in the War Hammer Skirmish Book. The next photos will be at ground level. I'll be detailing the lower portion before adding the upper sections...I'm trying to avoid the "you can't get there from here" thingy. Hopefully there will be lots of things to keep you interested; anything you like feel free to copy...how-tos are available on request.

| How's the mushroom tower getting along? It looks very cool already. Kinda reminds of the astromancers lair from Games Workshop somehow.

| It's actually coming along although slowly. I started painting the interior to the ruined section in preparation for adding some scaffolding. The Slums had a couple of the foundations pierced for doors; AND I came up with a steam punk looking door knob for the first door. | |
