Deathsquad, or Mordheim in the 41. century.....

Hej Tommies,

well, for a long time now i have been assembling various figs from the beloved oldschool rogue trader time , gave them scratchbuildbases, mounted them, even basecoated them, and then placed them one by one into my feldherr boxes.
I just liked them so much, i did not cared if i ever would use them or not.
But then one day serialMom came by and gave me the Rulesset for deathsquad, nothing else then our beloved mordheim, taking place in the 40k universe. So, finally, i would be able to field warbands consisting of those fabulous rogue trader models, and then i decided to save money again to give it to the hard working hands of Martin Grandbarbe.
And today the first picture of a mini arrived, and i love it!

Very nice indeed. I have a shed load of old RT figures myself that are crying out for a lick of paint.

Where can I find the death squad rules? Found the forum without difficulties, but could not spot the rules.

You must register to be able to access the PRIVATE Download Section and get your copy of the rules (TLRB v0.6.4!) & join discussions about the game!

@citizensade:Well, also found out that if you´re not registered you wont be able to download the rules, so, just register and get all the rules, and there are a lot of them, the guys made a superb job!

Hope i could push you a bit to get started with deathsquad, oh, and our deafnala is with them too, so , join today!

The Old Space Guy turned out SUPERB; your Amigo Martin is a Master of the Brush AND that is a FINE LOOKING base to match. GREAT WORK!  

@Citizen Sade: I wouldn't wait too long to get the rules; re, there is a steady lessening of activity over at the Death Squad Forum that does not speak well for its continued existence.

just recieved the pics of my painted minis of mr. grandbarbe, and man, i love em, so, i have to share those jewels with you, enjoy:

The Space Guys are SPECTACULAR. The brushwork & especially the color choices are OUTSTANDING. CONGRATULATIONS; you must be one HAPPY Dude!  

I AM! Gracias, and i ordered john blanche coloursheme, black, red and beige, so, i think it worked.

Yeah the minis are fantastic.

But we really need to play Fallout first. They will be either a fantastic mercenary warband or some kind of raider warband. I personally would go with mercenaries. They really lock like veteran mercenaries who really saw some bloody battles.

I love them.

By the way try to picture them to conquer my industrial secenery in the other thread. You know they belong there.

He guys, instead of opening a new thread, i will today show you the WIP Terrain , where i and mom will, maybe in the near future, could fight with our 40k deathsquad minis, or by oldschool confrontation rules. Managed to collect all whitedwarfs with the rules set, so, think we will borough the necromunda income and experience rules.Think that confronation was never thought as a skirmish where one could gain exp. points and advance your mini stats, dont know, but couldnt find any hints on exp. in the rules articles.

So, terrain:
There will be 4 modules at the start, here are the WIPS:

LOOKIN' GOOD! The Plumbing World board has a lot of potential. It's amazing how well scrap plumbing & electrical thingies work for SciFi & Steam Punk terrain...Hardware Wars. Keep up the GOOD WORK...this is going to be something special.    

I'm glad you resurrected the thread; I had forgotten about those Oh-So-Cool Old Rogue Trader minis.   

I agree it is a very nice start. But to paint all those details? MAybe you will excell with your paint gun soon.

Against the odds i managed to put some time in the confromunda terrain, look for yourself:

That's the way I would imagine Necromunda to look...g;ad you found the time to work on it. VERY WELL DONE!   

Update time, new board section plus some self modelled tubesystem kit and a floortile , all made molds for and sarted to cast.

oh! Thats some serious terrain being done! Really nice! I love the cracked ground part (white plastic net) on the first picture, that's a really good idea!

And also love those rt guys! I have allways found it hard to paint those for myself, but these are magnificent!

Can't wait:) How do you cast the tubes? Do you use readymade molds like Hirst arts, or do you do the molds from peices yourself? The color on two of the tubes resembled sculpey (polymer clay) a littlebit, is it?

now I read that you did the molds from scratch:) sry missed that!

Jap, its sculpey, and 2K epoxy clay, then i made siliconemolds, and cast them in resin.
Also used stuff called woodstone, its like plaster but more firm in the end.

Oh, and the guys of good old rt are great , thanks, but those are painted by martin grandbarbe, wouldnt be able to do this quality myself.
