Number of attacks and Stats increases

Ok so me and my friends have been playing mordheim for over a year now and we never set certain rules straight.

If after a battle a hero gets a char increase which is a +A and the hero is dual wielding weapons. Does he attack with his main hand then off hand and main hand again? and +A only counts for melee correct?

Models with 2 weapons: do models carrying 2 weapons get a minus str or ws when using the off hand?

if you got 2 attack on your profile and duel wield, you got 2 attack with main hand and one with your off hand. It dont really matter if it is main-off-main or main-main-off.
Yes +attack is only close combat.

No there is no penelity for duel-wield, there is some experimtal rules where (my group plays like that) you get -1 to hit with duel, but that is not the official rules.

so a hero with 2 weapons ie 2 attacks which gets a characteristic increase +1A would have 3 attacks? or still 2?

If your hero gets +1A this affects his profile.

This means that if he had 1A in his profile he now has 2A.

If he fights with 2 weapons, he will therefore get an extra +1, making it 3A in total.

You do NOT get a malus for fighting with your "off" hand. In fact, forget that off hand business. It's way to complicated.
If your hero wield 2 different weapons, you may decide which weapon strikes 2x and the other automatically strikes 1x

Example:

Hero has 2A in profile and wields 1 sword and 1 mace.
We use coloured dice to make it easier. You will roll, for instance, 2 black dice and 1 red dice. You may decide BEFORE YOU ROLL, what "black" and "red" stands for.
Either "black = sword" and "red = axe"
