Haha guess I'm not that sharp today then!

Oh, I wouldn't say that. You just noticed him for the first time is all. I'm not always the sharpest knife in the drawer either.

It was a fairly productive weekend. In addition to a bunch of new toadstools, I got a good start on the Faerie Wing Witch's base & sculpted, base coated a new type of Mushroom; he looks some where between the Creature from the Black lagoon & Frankenstein's Monster.

Thanks, Gatlag! He is an unpleasant looking Guy. I think painting will only make him more unsavory...that is not necessarily a bad thing.

I had, for me, a fairly productive day today; i.e., I started, finished, based, & took photos of the new style ambulatory Mushroom aka The Mushroom from The Black Lagoon.

Today, having overcome inertia, I finished the base for the Faerie Witch.








Now I just have to finish the Witch.

Thanks, Gatlag! All too often I have to force myself to things, but, once I get going, I enjoy the crafting as much if not more than ever. Like most cats, Marty is curious about everything.

Yes I know, that's why I love cats!

The curiosity is just one of the things I have learned from my Marty. His boundless enthusiasm is another. Watching him at play brings home the idea that cats live in their imaginations which have only a tenuous hold on our reality. His reality is much more exciting than mine. The joy in simply being alive is the gift that Marty brings to me. I think every old person should have a cat or dog to love & be loved by.

That's indeed a good idea as the love of animals is unconditional!

Marty is my reason to get up in the morning; i.e., he wants to be fed.

I finished the third Mushroom Witch yesterday & took these photos just now:

Now I have only the Witch with the butterfly wings to do. Then on to YET MORE madness. Until then.

All this talking about Marty and now we have some witches that could use a cat!

I've never done a cat...yet. There are quite a few things that I would like to try to sculpt.

The Faerie Witch is finally done. She is the last of the work in progress pieces that I had sitting on the bench:

Plodding along, I now have a bunch of new stuff ready for basing. In addition to the thingies shown here there are another twenty small toadstools:






We see what I can accomplish over the weekend...if anything.
