Hello my name is Thomas, im 20 and i just startet collecting Mordheim!

I found TBMF just by searching "Mordheim" on google, i was suprised to see such dedication to TBMF!
so i thought i could get some really nice newbie advice about collecting, painting and convertions etc.

it really warms my heart to see such activity and dedication at a forum:)

i must admit that im quite excited about starting my first warband, i have chosen to start a Middenheim warband. their +1 Strength really got to me:) i prefere the direct aproach. (up close and personal)

As an Orc player I like the in-your-face style of gaming also. My Goblins take the up-close approach only from behind.
As a Fellow Reenactor I'm delighted to have you on The Forum, AND I'm looking forward to seeing your Mordheim minis...if you're inclined to take photos, that is.

but it may be a while, since im studying all the time, and i only get money from the mercifull state:S
and when you study there´s all these crazy parties which you´ll have to go to. it´s quite expensive in the long run:S

im not much of a painter i´ll have ti admit, but there is only one way to learn!

This is turning into an actual conversation...something I rarely have. Improving your painting abilities is to a large part practice with a dash of motivation & a pinch of inspiration. Posting photos inevitably gains a bevy of comments, compliments, & suggestions that add to the motivation factor...HIGHLY RECOMMENDED!

Greetings Fellow Travelers of the Old World!

My name is Dreng Tromm and I am from the Philippines. I am a lawyer by profession whose hobbies include Miniature collecting (from various ranges and scales), painting (my signature is based on a Mordheim Witch Hunter miniature I painted and worked on) and gaming (At present, I play Warhammer and Mordheim here in the Philippines). I also draw and make character sketches (In fact, I personally drew my avatar).

The name Dreng Tromm is not native to my country. "Dreng Tromm" is actually Khazalid (the language of the Warhammer Dwarves) which literally translates as "slay-beard". It refers to a very serious lamentation in which a dwarf expresses his sorrow and desire to tear at his beard in shared remorse.

The sentiment can also be conveyed more solemnly to indicate when something is a great shame or to acknowledge a profound loss or misdeed.

It is actually based on a character I made up and use for my Mordheim games. I shall endeavor to share his story with the community eventually but for purposes of introducing myself, it is sufficient for me to state that I frequently use this as my username on account of my high regard for the Warhammer Dwarves. After having read several Black Library Novels regarding the dwarves, I guess one cannot help but fall in love with these brave and noble people.

As a "Dawongi" or a Dwarf-friend, I have a tremendous amount of respect for the Old World Dawi (Dawi is how they call themselves) and their admirable sense of honor, their infectious courage, their intuitve heroism, their stubborn pride, amazing resilience and their dry, fatalistic humor. Hence, I feel their sentiments and share in their sorrow and commiserate with the loss of their territories and the diminution of their empire partly due to the treachery of the elves and the incursions of the greenskins and the rat-kins.

I therefore use "Dreng Tromm" as a sign of my affnity to the Dawi and as a form of homage to them.

I have long been a fan of this forum and I have finally decided to sign up. Thank you for the attention.

Hey all, just found this site while searching around for ideas to create simple Mordheim buildings and such. I can tell I am going to be spending a lot of time here already, heh.

As for myself, my name is Nathan and I am currently enjoying being a full time gamer. I play a lot of Xbox and stuff, and have played in tournaments more then once. I recently went digging through my storage building looking for PC parts and found my bins stuffed with Warhammer and Mordheim stuff and have been bent on getting back into the hobby since. Sadly there are not many people around here to play with, I have taken it upon myself to play a few matches by myself. Sad huh? Haha

Well, nice to meet you all. I look forward to getting to know you all and spending many months if not longer lurking among the various forums on this site!

Welcome aboard, Nathan. It is a nice friendly site, and the work members post in the terrain and figures section is very inspiring.

Mordheim works out very well as a solo, in my experience. We play fairly regularly as a group, too, but these days even then we tend to play collaboratively rather than competitively.

Hi guys I'm brand new to both the forum and mordheim. I haven't even chosen which band to create.

I'm an Australian full time university student and have been playing 40k with some friends during the summer and winter holidays and am keen for something that's a bit more easily story driven to play predominantly with my brother. Mordheim won out over Necromunga and also Urban War which also looked interesting. I just couldn't go past the great fantasy aspect though.

I love the mechanics behind games and so have read the rules to heaps of different games. I'm looking forward to getting familiar enough with mordheim to start tinkering with scenarios and stuff. I'm generally more of a lurker on forums but I will definitely post up anything I think will contribute to making someone elses game more interesting.

Hi Garm - and welcome to the forum. I think you'll like Mordheim - decent rules, a great campaign system, and it lends itself to story-telling an even some roleplaying, if you swing that way. This forum is a good place to ask questions, or offer advice.
