Just got back into GW funny enough after helping some of my special needs pupils find a hobby. Always liked Mordheim and thought I'd set up my own Warband to compete against the kids.

I've been a fan of fantasy since I was a lil' guy. I've been a fan of WH fantasy via the early anthologies & 1st ed. RPG. My friend Scott & I are looking to start a Mordheim group locally as we both love them game . I'm starting with a Dwarf Warband but I plan to create a Chaos Maruader warband eventually.

Hello, My name is Olov and I live in the Swedish city Örebro. I'm studying in the university here to become a music teacher. I'm 24 years old and have been playing warhammer since I was like 14 or so. Started playing Mordheim when it came out and have played a few campaigns now and then through the years.

My favorite tabletop game is Gorkamorka but Mordheim is a close second (I've have probably played more Mordheim then Gorkamorka anyway). I just love the GW campaign based games because your models become more personal and the small amount of minis you need gives you more time to make every character individual. And in Gorkamorka you have the vehicles too to greatly modify.

Since I started to study I haven't got to paint, build and play as much as I'd want to. But every time i come home I try to spend as much time I can i my parents basement to do those things. Nowadays I mostly build terrain and don't play that much.

OK, this ended up to be longer then I thought it'd be. I'll probably post some pics soon to show some of the terrain.

Hey guys, I'm ten years late to the game Mordheim but I've been playing RPG's since the eighties. I'm trying to get my two oldest boys (12 & 15) into something other than xbox. I showed them some of the fanmade scenery and they agreed to try it. There warbands are Dwarven Treasure Hunter's and Witch Hunters, mine is Vampire Hunter's. We just started working on some models tonight. Looking foward to the game and learning from the community.

Yay, I'd love to see another Restless Dead warband up here!

Been lurking around this forum fora few days now and it seems like a very inspirational place, so decided to sign up finally as my first batch of Mordheim minis arrived this morning.

Howdy, my name is Max, 26 years old and living in Kotka or Helsinki in Finland depending on the time of year. Work on merchant ships, mainly oil tankers and got back to school this year to finish my captain's degree that I took a few year's break from.

Never played Mordheim before, but I've been planning to start playing it with a few friends of mine in the last couple of weeks. Managed to read through the rules already and a lot of the various unofficial changes to them, which actually brought me to this forum in the first place.

I have been into a fair share of miniature games over the years since I was 12 or so. Chiefly 40k (Imperial Guard and Orks) and Necromunda (van Saar and Redemptionists) from GW along with a little bit of dabbling with WH Fantasy and Blood Bowl years ago. Also played Chronopia, and more recently Flames of War and Charlie Company of the more historical wargames. Though my hobby has been on something of a break in the last five years aside for some very occasional historical games. This week however I rummaged around the attic and even managed to find most of my paints and modelling equipment, so hopefully get back to playing with toy soldiers soon enough

Putting together a mercenary warband for starters, was thinking Marienburgers. Might go for some other mercenary band too as I haven't got anything else yet than two boxes of the plastic mercenary minis from one local auction.
Also, totally need to build a pirate warband one of these days as well.

I was introduced to Mordheim by my friend Jason. However, we weren't friends until I met him at Comic Book World where he was introducing Mordheim when it was first released!

I had played Warhammer Fantasy, but the games can be so cumbersome to play, and hard to schedule.

I immediately fell in love with the Mordheim. I have always enjoyed seeing the characters in games I play grow. The atmosphere is intriguing, and the new miniatures made for Mordheim are amazing. The many additions, like Random Encounters, and new items for sale have made every game different. I believe it is one of the best tabletop games created thusfar. All of the player created content is a testament to its greatness.

And here we are in 2009. Jason and I, and several of my friends have been playing Mordheim this entire time. We've painted miniatures, built terrain, and now we have a great city to fight over Wyrdstone!

I started out playing Witch Hunters, and now I have wandered into the darkside, where my Vampire leads his minions and undead creatures into the night.

I look forward to sharing pictures, stories, and custom content with all of you. Thank you, Tom, for creating a blog and forum for us to share!

I went here and the empty glare of the .gifs said 'no new posts, no new posts...ever again...'
I presumed that it was (obviously) for reasons of a cross stellar cataclysm that had wiped you all out caused by the death of the emperor which caused this lack of posts!
(base assumptions of cosmic attack is always better than actual facts. )

or perhaps you don't get a new post notification when your not logged in.

Then I logged in and all the forum notifiers started bleeping in an incessent acusatory monotone saying 'So it goes when abundant reading is abandoned and the scribe doesn't ..scribe?'

Last time I was here I was fiddling with a new undead warband and hassle free minis was yet to released anything except resins of their delectable mawe. I was also fiddling with the idea of mass transports for every mordheimer vaguely interested in a bigger campaign.

Then I moved (I am fairly certain that it was because I used every lightsource not bolted down, yet I feel unwilling to ask her.)

And with the old crew disbanded due to logistics and time constraints I think its time I finish that warband.
(and in time reopen the vault of Really Really-random events that takes up about eight boxes marked mordheim and rehash some stuff from a Vintage MINT monster manual from the olden days when dice only had six sides )
