i used to game quite a lot but most of the guys have either stopped or moved on to greener pastures so i mostly paint, actually i mostly buy and build, i fear it might be some form of O.C.D. hmm Sound Beach isn't that on or just off long island some where, i'm sure i've been there when i lived in new york

Sound Beach is a relatively tiny hamlet hidden [some would say hiding ] by the surrounding towns of Miller Place, Mt. Sinai, & Rocky Point. It's on the North shore about 50 or 60 miles from the NY City line. With its maze of twisty streets most folks who live here do so simply because they haven't found their way out.

I ALSO have a Treasure Trove of backlogged minis...the fabled Vault of Pack Rattiness, that seems to replenish itself . Mostly I paint for folks other than myself. AND, like yourself, it's been a LONG, LONG time between proper war games; my last opponent moved away about 30 years ago. C'est la vie, eh?!

Thanks for the condolences. I have my fond memories, the Forum, AND an excuse to wear Monkish robes & hum Gregorian Chants. It could be worse; it could be raining [thunder clap; sounds of a torrential downpour].

Well yea, it could be worse; the internet could break down forever i.e. no more TBMF, or all of your minis could break..
You should join one of the Boring Meetups! Then you could have a chance at playing a decent(if not awesome) game of Mordheim!

dam dude i bet you've got some classic minis sitting in your cupboard then, i've only been out of the gaming loop for a couple of years and its not been easy, i've signed onto Mordheimers Anonimous and it helps with the shakes when i walk past a games workshop but i'm learning to live with it

Well, while not as many oldies as I used to preTrading Pit, I still have some preslotta base Citadel, ANCIENT chaos stuff ['80s], & thingys. Need anything?
I just sit outside my not-so-local games store with my tin cup, "Will Paint for Food" sign, & a forlorn expression.

Lol, i can never bring myself to get rid of any of my minis, pity you don't live this side of the pond as i have so many unpainted models and not enough hours in the day to paint em all and i keep on buying.

In surrey in England, but luckily not too far from civilization so hopefuly i'll get back to playing again some time soon, just got to convince the wife.

I gave a few to Drugart & promised a few to Krugg_666, but otherwise the Lads/Thingys would enjoy getting some attention. I'll send you a list, AND you can have whatever you'd like...postage out of the US IS quite reasonable.

Sounds like a plan. AND, to add some credence to The Tale, years ago the Spanish mini maker, JAL, ACTUALLY did hire a local Monastary to paint their minis.

My name is Geordie and I've been a Mordheim enthusiast since I discovered the game last Summer. I have a mostly complete beastmen warband and I'm now setting my sights on witch hunters. I'm also a Warhammer Fantasy Battle and Flames of War player. Been lurking your forums for a bit and it looks like there's a lot of talented modelers here, as well as a lot of useful information.

Hey Mordheim!

Im Ross and i play in San Diego. We just started playing again and are about to embark on a 5 month campaign. I have been building terrain for it which I will post later and this should be alot of fun.

I also play alot of Warmachine and occasionally Warhammer. And im rocking the Pirate Band for this game as of right now

I'm a (war)gamer from the Netherlands, I'm not a very very hardcore gamer who's plays every week but I'm more like a gamer who likes to meet up with some friends every now and then and play a few battles. A few years ago I used to attend the Warhammer Fantasy Grand Tournaments here in Tilburg. Then we wanted to try out 40K, so I bought a lot of plastic/metal for that. I've been building and conceptualizing a lot for my Lost and the Damned army. However it never made to be a complete army...

While playing Fantasy and 40K, me and my friends always had much fun with Mordheim. We build a pretty large city for it and spent many nights on it.

Armies/races I play:

Warhammer: Orcs
Mordheim: Witch Hunters
40K: Lost and the damned
