| With the Photobucket stuff going on I've decided just to post new pictures of my stuff rather than try to fix the old topics. I've gotten some work done since then, so it was time for new pictures anyway. My camera setup still isn't great, so someday I'll have to do new pictures again. I provide warbands for anybody in our that wants to play but doesn't want to buy/paint a warband (or sometimes just try a new one). The upside for them is they save some money/work. The downside is that I'm a collector, so I won't convert any of my originals. But they are always welcome to pick up a couple of models, paint them, and use them alongside mine. More often they offer to buy me a model if I'll paint it. It usually works. For now I'll try to add one warband a day, not necessarily in the order I painted them either. I don't know if I'll add new ones to the first post, or just add them as it goes. We'll see. For the first one, I've got Witch Hunters. Witch Hunters Captain and Warrior PriestWitch HuntersFlagellantsZealotsDogsDedicated Hired SwordsUp next we have some of the first minis I did when I got back into painting several years back. A few were also done more recently. The pictures wash things out a bit, but even so the difference is rather noticeable. And then I put to heavy of a wash on them, covering a lot of what I did manage to do. Oh well, they helped me get better at painting. Magister/MutantsPossessedBeastmenBrethrenDarksouls Shadow Warriors As far as I can figure out this is all the Mordheim SW and all the metal ones from WFB. I once thought I had all the 4e White Lions and then found two more sculpts not in any of the catalogues though, so I'm never sure. The mordheim ones are UGLY (except the mage) so we always use the others. The internet hates elves in mordheim, so the group feels the someone should always play them. I'd rather see them get left out a little more often, but that's purely for fluff reasons. You shouldn't have shadow warriors and leave out reikland. and of course they found a friendly elf ranger to be their guide. There is a halfling from reaper that I'll eventually pick up because I think he'll fit in well. | Nice work -- I especially like the highlighting on the fabric, which has excellent texture. Even if the photos do bleach it a little! Great stuff, with some really good detail work too. | |

Haha, I know that feeling! & that dreadful moment when you look at an old model & think, "Why did I settle for this?" But we need never speak of this when we've got projects we're happy with* to show off. *For Now.

| Some of my really old stuff I actually couldn't look at anymore and stripped. I honestly wish I hadn't with the HE- who knows if I'll ever get around to painting those again. But I'm really glad I did with some of my Mordheim stuff. It's a LOT better than before. Some if I could almost want to do again, but I'm smart enough to realize I've got years worth or minis to paint already, and really they aren't all that bad.
Fortunately I've managed to be more consistent about painting than in the past. I'll take a few months off if I do a long trip, but other than that I paint at least a little every week. It's much better than in the past when I'd paint almost every day for a couple of months, but then take a couple of years off. Of course doing that helped keep all my work at a similar (low) level of quality.
I really do need to figure out my camera situation though, a few of these models I actually really am proud of and I'm really not doing a good job of showing them off.

| SPLENDID STUFF! You might be using just a little too much light in your photos, but the quality of the minis shines through. You have a nice clean style. Stick with it & great things will happen...in a small way. EXCELLENT WORK! | |

| My current lighting choices consist of to little or to much. I need to build a photo tent I think.
Anyway, I added Middenheim. I might add a few more today. No power at the office, and it's to hot to want to ride the bike.

| Lighting is one of those things I have struggled with himself. When I found a lighting setting for The Camera of Continual Contrariness & set it for the type of light I use, the pics improved quite a bit. Getting decent pis is part of the fun. | |

| The Holy Babes are LOOKIN' GOOD or perhaps righteous. The Sisters in particular are one of your best photos. The painting is uniformly EXCELLENT & the photography is getting there. GREAT WORK! | |

| That is quite an array of SPLENDIDLY painter miniatures. GREAT WORK! Are you by any chance using a flash? If you are, either turn it off or cover it. That would account for the washed out effect in your pics. | |

Thanks. It's been my favorite game since the day I saw the first article about it in White Dwarf. I was a fan of Necromunda, but not really 40k, so moving it to the warhammer world was really exciting. The original miniature range are still some of my favorites of all time, and I've had almost 20 years to collect them now. I've had the same to paint a lot of them, but everything you see here is from the last 5 years. Possessed were just added. Only one more painted warband to add it's one that the internet is most likely to complain about), plus hired swords and the like. There is another in progress, with two minis already done, a few started, and a few that need their weapons chosen and glued.

| Added my Shadow Warriors. I've been collection high elves since elementary school in the 80s, so I picked up and painted the Mordheim ones even though they are awful. We mostly use the other ones. All of which are better than the mordheim ones, and most are actually rather nice sculpts.
I also just finished my Dwarf treasure hunters. Will be interesting to see if they get chosen for the campain that starts this fall or not. I think the other guys are trolling me, they're pressuring me to do amazons next so we can have Shadow Warriors, Outlaws, Amazons, Dwarfs, Norse (not mine), and Pit Fighters (only partly mine). In Mordheim of course, because there is not way we'd get a location made.
The outlaws seem to be running away with this summers, I'm not sure we've ever had them as clear leaders before. Usually they get handled pretty roughly by mostly everyone.

| Thanks guys. I'm getting A LOT faster with my painting, and the quality is holding or even continuing to improve a little. I'm rather pleased about that. Maybe I don't have to sell my high elves simply because I'll never get them painted.
Just added some dwarf treasure hunters. The mordheim minis are pretty nice, but I really like old ones I had sitting around the best. Pinning all the hands on the mordheim ones was a bit of a pain but it should prevent disasters on the table top.

| Oh, new minis again, and they painted up just nice. Though it's a bit hard to find them because one has to browse through all the pics at the top for the new entries. Maybe you could (also) put your new additons into separate posts for an easier search? Like not just talking about the new dwarfs in your post just above this one but also show them? | |
