So I figured with a local mordheim league brewing that I'd better make a log, lest Mr.Chair make me look worse than he already does...

Anyways, sorry in advance for the pic quality, my lights are down so I had to use some flash which I detest, but it shouldnt be THAT bad.

My primary warband is Pirates, but I rarely play them because they suck. I have a converted gunnery school but I haven't painted any of them yet. So this will focus on the warbands I'm actually painting (and plan on playing this summer).

First up, Amazons, all the figs are Reaper and Shadowforge, although the reaper ones are of much better quality IMO. Seriously, most of the SF ones have terrible feet and a bunch have really ugly and malformed heads.

These amazons were mostly an experiment in speed painting, so a fair number of the mook level ones are speed painted:

http://yfrog.com/5mdsc00424sj
On the right you have two that are normally painted, the middle one is a sort of half and half and the left ones are speed painted (kinda poorly IMO).

Remember those terrible faces I mentioned? (bonus unintentional lazy eye that only shows up in pictures but is invisible in actuality)

I'll post more some other time, this lighting is really unflatering and makes them look much worse than they are.
Which leads me to those Pirates I mentioned, turns out I have QUITE flattering photos of these chaps:
My rogue Marienburger Captain:

His wenchy assistant:

Their magical mermaid sorceress:

Monkeys are a girls best friend, well, that and cray revolving pistols:

Hey, if you played with alternate blackpowder chart, you'd show up with a face mask too:

The lovable Pokey, goblin cabinboy and possessor of the sternest looking face in modern table top gaming:

On a darker and more sinister note, here is some samples of my very WIP Possessed. All thats done being painted is their Herald, a corrupted warrior priest, and Ive painted about half of their Magister and a bit of another guy:
Priest:

Priest meets Mr.Chair's priest:

WIP Magister (fallen witch hunter):

Fallen Sister (cool open cuts on the face don't show up well Sad )

Aaaaaand, some random stuff I'll finish some day (yeah right):
Undead!
Vampire (front, YELLOW cape, Frost blade thingy):
http://yfrog.com/2ddsc00461nj
http://yfrog.com/63dsc00462bbj
http://yfrog.com/efdsc00463yj
His Entourage, part one, His Ladyfriend and Vampire Knight Buddy (featuring WIP mounted version):
http://yfrog.com/evdsc00464vhj
http://yfrog.com/j5dsc00468kj
http://yfrog.com/j3dsc00472rsj
I'm not using the standard undead for these guys, probably gonna use the Araby undead tribesman list instead.

And on the workbench I have these fellows:

Very WIP hireling wizard:

Angry pirate guy:

WOW...
SO DAMN MANY MINIS!!! and AWESOMELY PAINTED TOO!

I can't really account for the amount of well made minis.. the little goblin is great! but one of my favorites is undoubtedly the Skeleton-undead pirate captain!! also the two warrior priests are amazing! and how can I skip mentioning all those pair of boobs!!! Very Happy!! of course the guy sitting down holding the sword down has all the attitude of a sea dog! and that pirate wench too! and how can I miss the guy with the helmet and the shotgun that guy looks dreadful --

But really... the Pirate skeleton just kicks so much ass.. makes me wanna put together a Pirate-Undead warband... for real..

Great stuff mate!

Pokey's the best! This model made me laugh really hard! I actually have something similar for my planned/WIP Ostermark warband - a lanter goblin HS that serves as the captain's lackey.

I like these a lot. Great inspiration for one of the members of my group doing a Pirate warband.

He and Old Bone are the cabin boys, Old Bone because, lets be honest, skeletons are not know for their dexterity and fighting prowess, but everyone feels bad about that whole "we mutinied and our captain was cursed to wander the earth forever" deal that he got stuck with so they can't bear to let him go. Pokey on the other hand is just a goblin meaning his job is to hit people in the backs of the knees with his axe or stab someone with that handy dagger hand of his.

Anyway, I think Im gonna paint up more pirates soon since they might be the warband I use this summer. This means three more mooks (the pirate with the sabers I showed earlier, a porter carrying a chest, the Marienburger captain with pistols, maybe another handgunner, and finally a potential Reiklander pirate with great weapon and drinking pouch).

OK, reaper getting their shipments on time means my painting schedule wen't very different-like.

I'll have pics up by the end of the day.

But I got reapers new female elf pirate painted, along with a Pathfinder barbarian (for the amazons) the schlepper guy (a nodwick looking guy carrying all the loot) and most of the Marienburg pistol captain.

I would have painted some more, but I was waylaid because I started on a new project. Me and a buddy are going to do some skirmish wargaming set in the Serenity/Firefly universe (I have written some beta testable rules for Necromunda!) so I started converting some starting small gangs to test the rules out.

there will be two five or six man gangs (in this version of the rules, you play with less guys, but they're harder to kill and a bit stronger). One will be a bunch of outlaws (typical noble outlaws on the run I guess) and the other is based on these guys: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Pinkerton_National_Detective_Agency
I chose the pinks because of their very distinctive uniform that they had in the old west days (bowler or derby cap and long tan trenchcoats, you see them in westerns a lot). So I'm sculpting some bandannas and hats onto some modified Delaque gangers I had hanging around. The outlaws will be most likely converted Pulp miniatures from Artizan and some western guys from Black Scorpion.
