| That does look SPLENDID. The planks sans shingles/tiles add to the ruined effect. GREAT WORK! | |

Thanks! I'm currently adding the tiles to the roof. The main roof is finished, only the tower is sans tiles.

| That's a cool church. Maybe some details would make it really stand out. | |

| Thanks to both of you!! @Grimscull : What do you mean with details? I sure will add some dirt and weathering, some candles, maybe some skulls. And I´m thinking about to add some self-made ivy...

| Yes, something along the lines. Firemarks on the windows, the stones in different shades of grey, broken windows, a statue, gargoyles or something. Skulls are always great of course! | |

| This looks so much better with the tiles. Must have been quite some work. Why didn't you just use cardboard? | |

| Thank you guys!! - Grimscull wrote:

Most work was to cut out the stripes of tiles. - Grimscull wrote:

Using cardboard would it make much faster and easier to build my houses. But then I couldn't have little details like that : I'm rather working a bit longer on a single house and give it a little more realism, but on the other hand I have the possibility for some details. (And that's also the reason, why I use the wooden planks for my floors...) Even if you can't see the planks (and other things) later on, I know they are there...

| I think I should cut my images anyway, so that our beautiful table is not the main attraction in them. And the closeups I can add furthermore. | |

| The scenery & miniatures compliment each other. Miniatures never look quite so good as they do in a beautifully appropriate setting. AND the addition of miniature, breathes live into terrain. It works out well that way. | |

| The Chapel is more shrine sized; I think a small statue & maybe a kneeler would be about as much furnishings as the place could handle. That aside, the Chapel & the rest of Town look TERRIFIC. OUTSTANDING WORK! | |
