| Hi all, lont time no see! After a long, absent period for the world of miniatures and such, I felt that to find the energie to construct anything, it had to be something that was close to my heart. So medieval/fantasy is the way to go! I wanted to build big without it taking to long time. So the basiic idea was a mansion/tower of some sort, whereas you could not play inside, but very well use the facade as playable terrain. I dont have the sketches i did anymore, so I just put up the pictures from the building process:) Oh! and I love pictures, alot of them, its allways to few, so I will give you as much as i can find! thanks for watching! Ok so this was the first stage, some foamboard and styrofoam i found in the backyard (gluegun i love you) I decided that the smaller buildings on the side would be open i started with the facade The royal Balcony Beech wood and plastic windows The toilette roofing, takes a long time... | |

| Amazing!!!! What a colossal project and so well executed - from the first shape made of foamboard to the finishing touches, like the ivy on the wall, which make this one of my all time favourite buildings. I love the different materials, shapes and details. This is definitely going to be an important reference for inspiration!

| That is a great work. I am really impressed with the size and scope of it. I love the stonework on the balcony and the chimney. That shot of the finished inside is also very cool. I love detail shots like that. | |

| wow, thanks everyone! The ivy was a nice experiment, but a little bit fragile at the moment. I ran out of superglue so I used pva, and thats i bit more complicated:) I found this toystore in my city, where they sell used lego, really cheap also. you can grab and scavange from a big plastic container and choose the bits you want! I find doors and windows to be a really usefull when gaming because the hinges are failproof, and after som weathering they look nice:) Lego cartwheel:) thanks for looking:) | |

| That store sounds like a Treasure Trove. The wheel is a fine little bit of detail to a WONDERFUL creation. | |

| yup, a long time ago, we scavenged our old lego resources while building ww2 scenery, windows and doors and whatnot, it turned out great. But we used all we had. so a few days ago I was with my doughter in a toystore, the first thing that cought my eyes was the big tray with mixed lego in it, i was on my four in that instant just digging and looting like a child on christmas! if theres any swedes her from gothenburg, its the store on Linnegatan:)
thanks again for looking! | |
