| Thanks Al. ______________________________________________________________________________________ The Twisted CopseA strange battle along a road. The Gray Reiklanders are attacked from the west by Miragleans. The Mirageans will eventually win by tree surfing their way across the board. As usual nothing much is known beyond that. ____________________________________________________________________________________ The Wild WoodBefore the Cathayans attacked the Furryfootes they ambushed the Bandits in the Old Forest. The set up. Spites are represented by zombies in this game. An ambush. One of the Cathayans is being led toward the green die by the Spites. However the Spites also draw one of the Bandits out of hiding. Mayhem ensues. Enchanted Bandits wander away form the ambush. Cathayans prey on the disorganized Bandits. Even the trees attack! The mounted Bandit Chief wonders how it all went wrong. - playtable wrote:

| All things considered "Spites" seems like an appropriate name for the Little Creeps. I think playtable should buy new dice & ritualistically burn the old ones in proximity to the new ones...fear is a WONDERFUL motivator. | |

Wolf Hunt 5 wolves, daytime (to late to do the fight with night rules, but sure would have with Andrew's pirates in the game) Cathayan kills 3 wolves 1st turn with shooting.
Bob was in the middle and split his forces to fight both of us.
My boss got stunned off his horse and the horse ran away towards the pirates. Andrew only sent 1 gunner to capture the horse and did not get it.
Horse ran 2 more times and at end of my last turn I got him back. Bob had 4 wolves show up behind him, he turns from me to get them. Andrew had 5 wolves show up behind him, all lined up, he shoots his 4th blunderbuss, hits all 5 and wounds all 5 one way or another Dartanion II charged Bob's ogre, who had been wounded once from shooting, and took him OOA, woot! Then much ado about blunderbusses. And time runs out.
Andrew gets 8 wolves Bob gets 4 wolves I get 3 wolves Bob's ogre died (looted) Bob's crossbowman died (looted) Andrew's HTH no weapons guy died I think.(nothing to loot) I had no deaths to begin with!!! All find the city to trade in I find an Empire Patrol, get 6exp., 2gc, 2 halberds, 2 swords, 3 handguns, and 3 INJURED HEROES. No henchmen were injured. Huckster, Si III, died (looted) LGT Looter, Fingers II, died (looted)
All my guys got +3 exp underdog bonus except for Footpad Bruno who was stricken with an Old Battle Wound. Thug Geoff became a LGT. Hired Huckster Si IV. Sold most of the goodies from the patrol, Hired a Highwayman, and up to 12 members for the 1st time. This makes , I think, 6 heroes and lots of henchmen dead so far out of 11 or 12 games. lost all battles so far. rated at 339

| Treasure Hunt in the Old ForestBefore the Cathayans fought the Bandits and Reiklanders they stole some treasure out from under the Sea Patrols' elfin noses. The Elfs claimed that the treasure was not worthy of their effort or some such. ____________________________________________________________________________________ Chance Encounter in the Old ForestAfter losing the treasure to pyrates, the Sea Patrol encounters the Miragleans by chance. Mayhem may have ensued. My forest terrain literally is old and falling apart, unfortunately. Whatever happened, it happened behind that tree... | |

| It's easy stealing from under the Pointy Eared Ones' noses; they do have them, the noses that is, in the air...or was it that their head was someplace with limited visibility? - Von Kurst wrote:

| The HermitFrom the Journal of Dimlit Furryfoote 5 Mitterfruhl 2015
How can I say it? The rendezvous with Gadabout did not go as planned. Our intention was to have met the wizard at some convenient hamlet near the Moors. However, instead we were told by a forester to meet him in the Old Forest. Gadabout was living in yet another cave, this one hidden in the fastness of the Forest. Tweedle went ahead to prepare him for our arrival, which since he was expecting us seems a bit unnecessary.
Either way when the rest of the Company arrived near the cave, we found Tweedle and Gadabout besieged by the Perilous Wadders Club of all people. There was quite the racket with all the noise of the handguns going off in their volleys and the club's shouted commands to "Prepare Arms", "Shoulder Arms" and so on. Tweedle and Gadabout left the cave and ran back toward us as soon as we came in sight. Gadabout was some put out about some misunderstanding with the Men of the Club. "Pure foolishness!" he called it. What with the noise and all, I never did understand what the cause of the misunderstanding was exactly.
Either way we were considering what to do, when three Men appeared in our right flank. Naturally with all the lead flying around we shot arrows at them. The Men did the most amazing thing. As we shot one of them called out "Platoon slide Right!" All of the Men shuffled one step to the right and our arrows fell harmlessly. We repeated this several times. Each time a Man would call a command, the Men would move and our arrows would fly past them. It was most frustrating.
This strange display was in the way of what is called a diversion. For many Men suddenly appeared beside the first group. These Men emboldened the rest and the whole lot drew pistols and began to pot at us! Having more targets was helpful as several Men fell with arrows in them. However we lost a piggie, Urrrp! and the Old Prospector in a few moments time. Gadabout was shouting, creating angry flocks of birds and beating Men with his staff. For a bit it looked as if the Men would fall back, then they surged forward. Uncle Bulgo, Gadabout and then Frito were cut down. We fled before the terrible Men with their red swords and horrible guns.
Cousin Frito was killed. As were Urrrp! the Bodyguard and a piggy. It was a sore day.The Men flank the Company. Dodge that! The Repeater Handgunner move up. Cook, Gadabout and a piggie take down two Heroes.

| Yeah, why not? As an edit to the above I forgot that Cook took a Leg Wound in the skirmish. At this point in the campaign Uncle Bulgo is addicted to Crimson Shade, Blind in One Eye and has a limp. ______________________________________________________________________________________ Week Fifteen--March 12 2015Players and Warbands: Andrew--Cathayan Pirates Bob--Reiklanders Chris--The Marksmen of Miragliano Elias--Lothern Sea Patrol Elijah--Captain O'Shea's Perilous Wadders Club (Nuln Gunnery School) Jim L--The Look Out Boys Jim S--The Furryfoote Company A Hidden Treasure in the Old ForestOr the Continuing Trials of Playtable (Jim L) - playtable wrote:

Treasure never found. We both guarded one woods left to search and just fought. This is why they are called the Perilous Wadders. The men trip and fall in the dark forest.
The Bandits advance.
Selfie fail.
Dartanion II's last fight.
And then they came for the Poacher.
The Highwayman's demise.
I rout with 5 ooa (including the 2 heroes) New highwayman died, looted Gutter scum died, looted Dartanion II the Duelist misses 3 games, sent packing. (Fired) LGT thug, Geoff, misses 2 games, also sent packing. (Fired) Trading at Nomads. Only 3 henchmen and no heroes to hire. So.... Took 2 sick heroes' equipment and kitty equipment and looted equipment and hired 3 thugs and a Halfling. So...4 heroes left, one with old battle wound, and my boss with stupidity. 8 henchmen, Kislev Ranger and Halfling scout. Now at 268. 13 games, 1 tie, 12 losses. Tons dead. Wadders Club had one OOA. He recovered.

| Home Is Where the Heart IsAnother clash between the might of Reikland and the Marksmen of Miragliano. The Marksmen defend the village. The villagers defend the Marksmen. The Reiklanders attack from the east, perhaps out of the rising sun... The Marksmen fled when enough villagers had sacrificed themselves. | |

| You know the song Janie's Got a Gun by Aerosmith? She looks like that. Hard to see in these photos. Usually hard to see actually. ______________________________________________________________________________________ The Things in the WoodsFrom the Journal of Dimlit Furryfoote 12 Mitterfruhl 2015
It was awful. The Company was nearly surrounded. We could not go forward. The howls, the terrible howls! There seemed to be a pack of fiends ranged in the forest in front of us. Worse to our flanks were both the Cathayans and the silent Elfs. Suddenly there were screams and roars from the south. One of the Beasts must have attacked or been attacked by the Cathayans. We could see little from our vantage point. Anna and Garn had scaled a nearby cliff, but they came rushing over the crest with the might of Cathay behind them. Anna tried to slow them. One of the Cathayans stuck her down.
That fellow fell with several arrows in him. Several more of them went down before they gained the crest, but once they were in control of the high ground we could do nothing but flee. There was no hiding from the plunging fire of the guns.
We lost one pig killed outright. A veteran hedgewarden later died of his wounds, Pudge Littletoes was his name, of the Drieflussen Littletoes who live by the Blue Reach back home. Uncle Bulgo fought two of their heroes to a standstill, yet one laid him low with a cruel cut. Uncle hasn't been himself for some time, but now... He drools. The Furryfoote Company held the east. Garn, Anna and a piggie have the high ground. Why didn't I start those scouts up there too? Cathayans lurked to the south beneath the cliffs. Efs lurked in the northern woods. Things skulked in the woods. The Cathayans surge over the crest. Only a lone pig holds the south. It is sufficient. The elfs fear the pig. (or perhaps his purple friend... Look at all those 1s and 2s. The Company's shooting has been dismal lately.

| Week Sixteen--Our Empire In FlamesPlayers and Warbands: Andrew--Cathayan Pirates Bob--Reiklanders Chris--The Marksmen of Miragliano Elias--Lothern Sea Patrol Elijah--Captain O'Shea's Perilous Wadders Club (Nuln Gunnery School) Jim L--The Look Out Boys Jim S--The Furryfoote Company From the Journal of Dimlit Furryfoote 19 Mitterfruhl 2015
This is the end. There is smoke everywhere. I can hardly breathe. The Reiklanders fled. I thought with the Bandits finally beaten that we would win through, but the Men quailed before the fire. The Elfs deserted us first. It was strange to call them allies. Still in the end, they let us down. I can hear the roar of the flames. Tweedie, Pepsid and Moxie have fallen. I have not seen Gimlet since we spotted the smoke, it seems like hours now. Anna is still with us, Uncle Bulgo has been especially focused since the fire was sighted. Despite his bad leg, he has not only kept up, but forged ahead.
The Cathayans may have broken through, it is impossible to tell. It matters not. The Tileans are to the south and the Perilous Wadders block the way east. The fire is close behind us now. It is only a matter of time... The Elfs advanced on the northern flank. The Wadders held the forest to their front. Two sections of woods burn merrily [upper left of photo, the orange is flames]. Tileans hold the southern approaches. Rieklanders appear in their front. The Cathayans committed to the extreme southern edge of the table. Fires kept them pinned against the edge the whole game. The Tileans sniped at them as they approached with mixed results. [playtables collection of wolves await their entrance.] The Rieklanders and the Furryfoote Company advance through the Center which is held by Bandit Prince Mad Arnold. Everyone expects the Look Out Boys to collapse early. Here Arnold receives the charge of the Reiklander's knight while the hired ogre moves behind him... Arnold survives! More warriors rush to the fray. The ogre is distracted by a Tilean ogre in the woods to the top of the photo. Even MORE warriors join the fight. Arnold fights on. Elfs fight Wadders. The Wadders hold. Elfs mass to sweep them away. The piggy and Tweedle break the Bandits. Piggy was unstoppable. The ebb and flow in the center. The Reiklanders lose a pit fighter, the Bandits lose thugs. Arnold fights ON. The Furryfootes move past the bottleneck called Arnold to confront the Wadders. The clash of ogres! The Wadders make a strategic withdrawal before the might of the Furryfootes. The Cathayans pressure the Tilean line. The elfs break when a pack of wolves appear behind them! The survivors of the Wadder line react. [all the woods were on fire as well, though the fire markers don't appear in the photos] Brave Prince Arnold falls! The leaderless Bandits face the victorious Reiklanders. Cook charges into the Bandits' Kislevite Ranger just before the Bandits break. The Wadders' ogre has done for Tweedle. The Alliance of the Bandits, Tileans and Gunnery School win a minor victory over the Axis of Elfs, Cathayans, Reiklanders and Halflings. All warbands were at break point at the end, but 2 out of the 4 Attackers had fled as opposed to only 1 out of 3 Defenders. Thanks to the players for a great final battle and a great campaign! And thanks for watching!

| Oh great pics from great games.
I really love it.
I found a gaming group nearby who are thinking about starting a Mordheim campaign.
The guys are quite cool and I think I will join them if it really happens.
I hope I can also post some pics from the games I hopefully will play.

@SerialMoM--That sounds promising. I hope it works out.
@qboid--the pig had a great last game. It got nearly as many Bandits as the entire Reiklander warband.
