Thank you Aipha. This year I might just get repair and repainting done. I have about ten projects started, but so far none of them have gotten to the finished part...

This Old House

I started this ruin sometime around GW's Storm of Chaos campaign...

Finished the roof last Sunday, brought it to game night:

A very beautiful ruin. I like the choice of the colors. Master of the brush.

That is a BEAUTY...proves you can't rush perfection. There are all sorts of interesting angles & gaming possibilities to the Beasty. AND it painted up WONDERFULLY, especially the shingles. VERY WELL DONE!  

It's interesting that you dated the start of the piece by a G.W. Event rather than a date. I have some vague remembrance of the Storm of Chaos but no idea when it occurred. I do recall thinking of it as the Storm of Bovine Excrement...not the exact terminology.

Remembering something by an actual day, month and year is becoming a chore for my feeble mind. I started to type and realized I had no idea when I started this building. It was before pirates but after my really big Lustria scenery binge.

I'm still looking for the original pieces that have broken off, I'm sure I kept most of them...

Added a foundation...

I like it!
Even more with the added foundation.
Much space. Maybe for a complete warband to defend it...

That finishes off the ruin BEAUTIFULLY. VERY WELL DONE!

What colors do you have used for the roof tiles?

I use liquitex acrylics and Folk Art craft paints. Specifically burnt umber, cobalt green, taupe and burnt sienna.

About the windows, is it possible to acquire them somewhere?
Or is it the OOP-Mordheim ones?
They really takes the piece to the next level.
Was hoping Hirst-art had some mold for something similar but I have not found it anywhere.

The windows are from the original Mordheim sprue.

That's odd, it seems like there used to be several companies producing that sort of thing. Of course I never bought anything from them, so...

I've been working on some more platforms and ramps for the table.
