| I think there is a distinct lack of hot babes in Mordheim. So when the Lahmians were introduced as part of the Vampire Bloodlines, I just had to start a Lahmia-themed Undead warband for the City of the Damned! So meet glamour model Rosalina and her Arabian Knights, her submissive minions with whom she terrorises the dark streets of Mordheim... I'll give you a quick group shot of the warband and some Zombies for now, More pics are on the way!

Well, at your service! Here we have my very sorry looking Dregs. I wanted to make them look particularly piteous as they are the most miserable human survivors of the demise of Mordheim. They were built with plastic parts from the Mordheim Mercenary sprue and the Zombie regiment, and some other bits I had lying around. I used the most miserable heads I could find. Two of them, the illustrious duo of Mulder & Skully, have Goblin torsos to give them a hunched look. The other, Major Tom, has a crutch because he’s lost one leg. First up: Mulder and Skully Then we have the third member of the party: Major Tom... Who? Yes, Tom... As they are still human (barely, but still...) I gave them a very pale pink skin tone, as opposed to the greenish skin on the Zombies. Although they may look miserable, they are quite useful in close combat, and after gaining some increases they can be surprisingly tough in a fight. And a little group shot to finish: | |

| Well, time for the hot girls now! Rosalina - VampireIronically, the only model in the warband that's not fully painted is my Vampire, Rosalina. The model chosen for her was a no-brainer when the new Lahmia vampire models were released. I love her assassin-like posture with the small dagger hiding behind her back! She’s not converted at all; in the game she has a sword as her only weapon, and no armour at all. Instead her skills and advances do the trick pretty well! In fact I’ve never lost her in any game up to this day, which is a testament to the power of a vampire and the fear it instils in my opponents! Ysabel - Necromantic LadyThe conversion for Ysabel was inspired by one I saw in a very old Citadel Journal. It’s an all-metal conversion, based on the well-known and much-loved Bretonnian Sorceress on foot. The arm holding the book is from a 40K Redempionist (I think), and the crow on the book is from an old Undead regiment banner. I gave her a longer staff with a simple snake design, which originally belonged to queen Neferata. It’s not a complicated conversion at all, but very effective and still my favourite today. The paintjob is one of my best so far, taking a couple of hours of mixing paints and careful highlighting. The colour scheme uses the old Warlock Purple as a basis, complemented by some simple black and grey, and a rich brown colour for the staff. I’ve tried to give her hair a hint of blue, although that doesn’t show well in the pictures. The skin tone was built up from a base layer of Elf Flesh, gradually mixed with more and more Skull White to give a very pale effect, which I think is very suitable for Vampires and Necromancers alike! | |
