| Hi,
at the beginning, I’m going to write something general about our campagn. We started yesterday with a testmatch. Our first campagn-match was fought right after.
There are four players starting: Lovis with Skaven, David with Osterlanders, Markus with Reiklanders and myself playing Beastmen.
Though I’m the actual noob, I’m really know the rules best. So the others started with really weird weapon or group choices.
Skaven started with 6 heros and a bunch of henchmen. No shooting whatsoever, but with one magician.
Osterlanders started with one champion, one magician, one oge and 4 musketeers.
Reiklanders have maxed heroes but partially with double sword, partially two handed swords. Henchmen are another two-hand-sword-fighter and four marksmen with bows, one having a additional sword.
We play with an alternative parry rule, saying, for each sword, buckler or two swords the opponent can be forced to roll a successful dice for hitting again. With sword and buckler opponent has to roll two successful rolls again.
So I hope to draw an advantage out of the inexperience of the other players… but I’m not sure, if it’s going to work =)

| Hello again…. In my second test game I played with my beastmen against Lovis’ Skaven. Due it was no counting game for the campagn, we both played experimental lists. My enemy had three fighting skaven with swords and shields, one skaven “magician” and a rat ogre. My list was: Chieftain, light Armor, shield, sword, club Bestigor, 2x club Bestigor, 2x club Gor, 2x club Gor, 2x club Minotaur, halberd We played the scenario treasure hunter. When starting the placement, the skaven player made such a horrible mistake, which will be punished later: He divided his small group, rallying one group with two meelee rats, the magician and one group with another hero and the rat ogre. Because the rat ogre wasn’t near the chieftain, he had to test for stupidity at least four times this game, when the other hero was gone. But first some pictures of our starting placement. Unfortunately I have no minotaur model, so I used also a rat ogre. My painted gors are the actual gors, the unpainted gors are my bestigors and my chieftain. Turn 1The skaven started and searched in two buildings for the treasure. In my turn I sprint towards the enemy group, searching in another building. All searching rolls fail. Turn2The skaven just moved forwards, I did the same, nothing happened Turn3The skaven player noticed, that I’m rather interested in killing his few heroes with my bestial heroes than finding the treasure. Therefore he went climbing out of reach, hoping for a diving attack. The skaven mage summoned a rat plaque at my chieftain, causing 4 attacks S1. Nothing happens. I run away, out of reach for a diving attack. My minotaur, one bestigor and one gor get in reach of the rat ogre. Which is stupid this turn, btw. I think I made some mistakes with my documentation, so I write the rest without referring to turns. The rat ogre was out of reach of another skaven hero and was static. I attacked with my minotaur. The treasure appeared in the last unsearched building, but no one was in reach to get it. The skaven mage summoned a rat plaque with 10 hits S1 at my chieftain, who was dead after. Later we realized that he never made a complexity roll. But we never tested for fear neither. I attack with 2 heros and my minotaur and kill his rat ogre, who made two wounds at my minotaur. The skaven wanted to jump down, but fell with his mage and was knocked out. I attacked his chieftain with two heroes and one gor. The gor killed his chieftain in a furious battle! After I killed the rat ogre and one hero, the skaven fled, rolling 11 as a rout test. As I wrote, we made some serious mistakes, but the game was fun, though. Especially for me ;-) Our opponents game (same scenario) lasted about 2,5 hours, we were done in 45 minutes. But we had no shooting whatsoever, so our turns were a lot shorter. After that game we really started the campagn, which you can read in the next posting! | |

| Hello again… So here’s my first battle report a tour campagn. The game was against Bondelgreiners Böse Buben, which is a reikland mercenary band. We played the skirmish scenario which is a real pain in the ass for a band with no ranged skills whatsoever. Espeacially against the Reiklanders. He played a pretty standard list, though the weapon choices were sometimes questionable. His chief had two swords and a bow, other heroes had two swords, a two handed sword… I don’t even know how his youngblood was equipped. Then he had 4 marksmen with bows (BS 4 hurts!), one having a sword. His warband rating was about 86? I played a pretty decent list, I think. Here it is: Kal-Torak, Chieftain (light armor, helmet, sword, shield) Soltar, Bray-Shaman (sword) Drog-Tarr, Bestigor (2x club) Vargo, Bestigor (2x Club) Angarak, Centigor (light armor, helmet, shield, 2x club) Gor-Natak, Gor (2x club) Murgos One-Eye, Gor (2x Club) Zerfetzer/Zerfleischer, 2x Chaoshound I apologize for my unpainted models! My Bestigors and Chieftain are the ones with the black primer, the gors are the painted ones. The chaoshounds are painted, the unpainted chaoshund is my Centigor Angarak. The Ork is my shaman. So we set up the terrain and our warbands: As I won the roll for starting, I began sprinting towards the enemy. The first three turns nothing really important happens. I ran towards my enemy, my enemy went in the building bringing his archers in position while his heroes block the stairs. I tried to use as much cover as possible sprinting to his edge of the table. In turn three one of his archers was able to knock my Centigor down for the first time. At Turn 4 the game really began to get interesting. Though I knew attacking him in the building would be a f*****g death trap, I decided to do it. Better than hiding and waiting. Stupid human-things. So I got up with my centigor getting my hole army in an attack position. The human had not the intention to attack. He had his archers, shooting each round. The human went in his building each turn more and more. In my fifth turn, one of my chaoshounds was able to attack his champion Schädel. But because of the narrow stairs, he was the only model who could get in reach. At least my Chaoshound knocked his champion down being stunned. In his fifth turn, he shot my centigor out of action and killed my chaoshound. And so the slaughter began. In my sixth turn my Chief Kal-Torak attacked his chief, my Bestigor Vargo attacked his Schädel. Vargo kills Schädel and our chieftains stay fighting for the rest of the game, not able to make any wounds. In his sixth turn, his youngblood tries to jump down to kill my shaman. But he falls and was knocked out laying in a perfect position to kill. My Vargo gets knocked down, laying there for the rest of the game. In my next game I summon my “Verlockung des Chaos” for the first time getting control of one of his marksmen. My shaman attacks and kills his youngblood. His henchmen Blechsarg kills my Bestigor Drogg-Tarr who was attacking. In his turn he rolled his ld test and got his archer back. Damn. He wants to attack my shaman, but in my turn he gets in safety. Later I got control of his Blechsarg, being able to attack with him his own hero due he couldn’t make his ld-test. In his round one of his archers kills my shaman. My Gor Murgos is killed by Blechsarg. His archers Spindel kills my chaoshound Zerfetzer. After having some serious losses (Centigor, Shaman, Bestigor, one Gor, two chaos hounds) I decided to back out. The human won, having only two losses (champion Schädel and his youngblood. I forget his name, let’s call him Thorsten). In our opponents game, (they played chance encounter) the skaven lost four heroes, the Osterlander all his heroes (two, as you can remember). The Osterlander had four wyrdstones at the end of the game though. Later we did the summary together. Skaven lost two heroes and one henchmen forever! He got no gold and only two wyrdstones, which he isn’t able to sell. So he could do really nothing. The Osterlander got his chieftain a smashed leg, not being able to run anymore. His magician has to recover one game and isn’t able to fight. He got 80 gold for his wyrdstone, but I don’t know, what he bought. The Reiklander had really luck. His youngblood was hardened and is immune to fear from now on. His champion got some serious scars and causes faer. f**k. He got around 50 gold and bought a warhound! My chaoshound Zerfleischer died permanentely. Drog-Tarr, Bestigor rolled for four! Multiple injuries. For my luck it was 3x full recovery and one time he was hardened and is also immune to fear. Soltar, Shaman has a serious leg wound and has now only movement 4. My centigor Angarak suffered a severe arm wound and has no only one arm left =( I rolled for two wyrdstones which I sold directly. So I had 52 gold left. I bought a new Zerfleischer (Chaoshound) and Thoros, another gor. Unfortunately I wasn’t able to buy him any weapons. But Angarak has now one club spare, so I swapped this. After getting all my experience and new henchmen, my band rating for the next battle is 117! I think the next game will be a easier, though the other warbands are composed not the best way. And skaven was really weakened after the first battle. The Reiklanders really are tough having their BS 4 and bows. I don’t really know how to fight them efficiently. What would be your opinion buying next? More gors with clubs? Ungors with short bows? Or saving up for a minotaur? I think the minotaur as a big target would get in trouble fighting Ostlanders and Reiklanders... Next game will probably be next week. Stay tuned :-P | |

| Great start to the campaign! I am enjoying looking at your terrain collection. I like the names you have chosen for your warband as well. - Quote :

I am curious why the skaven player could not sell his wyrdstone? There is no rule against it.

| Hi!
Thank your. The terrain was all built by Markus, our Reiklanders-player. Who is a professional painter and artist ;-)
For the skaven selling wyrdstone: In my rulebook, page 101 ("Income") there's is following passage:
"Skaven and undead: Neither of these warbands puts much value on gold, but they send all the wyrdstone they find to their superiors and recieve aid and resources in return. Skaven use their own currency for trading [...]. For Skaven, the gold crowns in the warband's treasury represent the warp tokens, which the skaven use for currency[...]"
I'm not sure, if we played it right, now? I thought, he only can make amulets or something like that out of the wyrdstone....

| Ah, the wonders of Games Workshop rule books... Sometimes I wonder why we bother to support their egos and livelihoods...
That sentence is completely confusing isn't it. However if you play by your interpretation the skaven player could RARELY gain income because there is little possibility for him to in the game. However you fail to quote the rest of the rules paragraph:
"For Skaven, the gold crowns in the warband's treasury represent the warp tokens which the Skaven use for currency, while for the Undead it represents the favor of their master, Vlad Von Carstein of Slyvania."
For some reason the authors could not say this (perhaps because English was HIS second language and GW editors do nothing but send manuscripts to printers), but what he meant was that Skaven sell their wyrdstone for warp tokens which are worth the same amount as a gold coin. Thus the author of the rules spends a bunch of ink telling you something you did not need to know about how the workings of the rules fit into the fluff of the game world.

| I'll leave any rules commentary to my learned friend, Von Kurst. For moi, it's the minis & terrain that make the game. Your board, buildings, & Little Warriors are all BEAUTIFUL. GREAT STUFF! | |

| Thanks!
With the skaven this seems far more logical. I'm going to tell the skaven player right ahead!
The human warriors and terrain/buildings are all made and painted by our Reiklander-Player. They really are great... you should see his dioramas!
By the way: The more I think about my game against Reiklanders the more I think I had the wrong tactica. Next time I would try to attack from two or three directions. I'm pretty sure, that my beasts would be slightly better in hand-to-hand-combat than his human-things. But I have to get there without being shot.

| The story told by the other side Diary of a dusty city My name is Kramer, I'm the leader of „Buandlkramers Böse Burschen“ , what means the „Bad Hat's of Dead“ . Work in Reikland runs out, so i decided to go to the city everybody talks about. I took two of the best from my old company with me, Schädel (Scull) whit his two swords and Grabesbart (Gravebeard) and his claymore. A young guy who ask to come with me is know the youngblood of your squad and I will mentoring him. We call him Kindstod ( cot dead). We will see !! Furthermore a swordfighter named Blechsarg (sheetcoffin) and four bowmen come with us. I gave them the name : Sargnagel (Coffin Nail) Spindel (Newel) Köcher (Quiver) and Nogge (Nock). The way i see it they are good in what they do. We will see!! After a long time of travelling and a horse we saw the walls of Mortheim in the midday sun, and i could say, I never saw a place before like that, looks so degenerate, desolate und dusty. Its not the sight of burned houses and broken wall all over the area. It is the kind of destruction and dust all over and over and that damned hole at the east side. It looks like a giant hand of annihilation grap his fingers in the earth on one side of town and plowing his way to the other. The heaven-stone done his work well. First we build up our camp north-east of town. Also mount the war-shrine. War-shrineWe began to examine the city, and what we found was a flock sheeps on feets. They started to run our position, full steam ahead two wardogs big as pony's and a Centigor, a mix between an clawed horse and a beastmen, armed with two club, shield and amour. While i decided the damaged house on our left as a good strategic compound our bowman hit the Centigor. To not underestimate our opponent is one of first lessons you will learn at the military. The strength of that horned creature is there speed and, as stupid are there mien will look, they got a keen sence of timing, cover and distance. I told the bowman to hide at the top area of the house, to take the coming warband of beastman under fire while I and the rest of swords block the stairway. I want to let them come and give em' what they earn. To come to the point, I overlook a fault – there shaman. He was hiding on the housecorner and send a spate of dark magic. Hope this fault will not happen again. We will see!! My bowmen missed him, so that was the time for my youngblood to proof his skills. To cut a long story short, he's proud, he obey my instruction without hesitate, but he's not a good jumper. Don't know why the sheeps called him Thorsten after that fall? Cause of my brilliant tactic skills and the discipline of my members whe fight them back to the barn where they come from. All in all we won that fight. Kindstod got a terrible wound all over his face. Looks good to me ! We killed a Warhound and give them a couple of wounds. If I'm not mistaken I think I'll smell wet rat-fetid. We will see!! | |

| Hey folks, yesterday we fought the second battle of our campaign and here you can find the battle report of my beastmen. First of all: What happened after the last game: Reiklanders bought one wardog, Kindstod causes now fear, Schädel is immune to fear. Osterlanders Chief had his leg smashed, their Priest died. He bought a blood-brother with axe and shield Skaven lost their Eshin-sorcerer, one night-runner, one verminkin. One of his champions got to miss the next game, and something happened to his assasind-adept, but I can’t read, what I have written in my notices. He sold one Warpstone and got one of his nightrunners sword and shield, his other night-runner got +1 WS. Beastman Shaman has -1 Movement, one Bestigor is immune to fear. Centigor lost one arm. One warhound was killed. Therefore I got a new one and a gor with club and dagger (Thoros). So here we played also “defend the find” which was a really, really bad scenario for skaven. I don’t think it could have gotten ANY worse! Skaven had one assassin-adept, one night-runner, one black skaven and four verminkins with shield and spear. The heroes mostly got swords and shield or double swords. Not one single ranged attack or magic! I had ten models (Chieftain Kal-Torak, Shaman Soltar, Bestigor Drog-Tarr, Bestigor Vargo, Centigor Angarak, Warhounds Zerfleischer & Zerfetzer, and my three gors Gor-Natak, Murgos and Thoros). Also no ranged attacks. Because I had the first choice for the building in the middle I got a small building-ruin, which can be entered by every side. Though the skaven player added rivers, I had too many ladders and bridges for giving me any hard thoughts. The skaven player position his warriors in or on top of the building to defend it. At least, I thought so! I split up my warband into three groups: Centigor + Hounds, Chiefain, Shaman + two gors, 2x Bestigor and one gor. And I tried to get in the building coming from three sides. (haven’t got a nice picture of my third group ;-) ) So Beastmen had the first round and I went straight to the building. Skaven without any ranged attack is nothing to be feared of. Because my goal wasn’t winning, but was winning with ALL my heroes in the building, I ran at least 7” away from the building being in reach to get everything inside in the next turn. Unfortunately the gutless rat didn’t attack but get all his fighters up in the building because he didn’t want to have any hand to hand combat. One of his heroes pushed one of the ladders down, so I could not charge him. At my second turn my centigor got drunk AND frenzied. Unfortunately he couldn’t see any model, which he could’ve attacked. So I went with all my heroes and henchmen in the building. Only one left out was my gor Thoros who was left behind. Of couse I positioned all my fighters, that my heroes couldn’t be attacked or at least not by more than one enemy. So I stood there, expecting a nice, bloody fight. But the skaven… did not attack. He did nothing. To make it short: He gave up and lost, but without any losses of his warband. So I won having five heroes inside the building getting honor and glory, experience and an extra three shards of warpstone! The victorious herd of evil! So thanks for reading this far. For all interested only in battle reports: You can stop reading now. For all, who are interested in how our campaign goes on, here comes the interesting part! The post-battle scene… As you can read in my other battle-report thread the Reikland-player also won. The only loss in both games was ONE single jaeger, who was killed and never seen again. For exploring Reiklanders rolled an 18 with a double five. He got 4 warpstone-shards and one vague map. He sold all his shard for 65 gold, bought another wardog and saved the rest. Exploring Osterlander rolled an 8 and got two shards, which he sold for 55 gold. I actually forgot to write down, what he bought. I think, it was another blood-brother. Going to ask him… Skaven rolled a 4 with a double one. He got one shard and found another in the well. He had one shard left from the first game. He sold two for 50 gold and tried to make an amulet out of the thirnd one for 20 gold. Unfortunately it was useless. My beastmen heroes were quite successful rolling 21 with a double 6. I got for shards of warpstone, three for the scenario and an extra of 5 gold. With my two gold left after selling I got 117 gold. I bought 2 gors with 2x club (Krondor and Malgor), bought my third gor another club. I got my Bestigor Drog-Tarr a shield and my bestigor Vargo a shield and a helmet. So I have a total of seven gold left. Then for the most exciting part we rolled for our experience. Skaven: Champion got a new skill (not sure what, yet) Verminkin 1: +1 strength Verminkin 2: +1 weapon skill Verminkin 3: +1 initiative Verminkin 4: +1 attack Osterlander: Jaegers (four in one single group): Alle +1 ballistic skill. Lucky bastard Reiklanders: Chief got a new skill (not picked, yet) Champion Schädel: +1 wound Youngblood Kindstod: new skill (see above) Warrior Blechsarg: +1 attack Marksman Sargnagel: +1 ballistic skill (lucky bastard!) Marksman Spindel: +1 ballistic skill (lucky bastard!!) Marksman Köcher: +1 ballistic skill (lucky bastard!!!!) Marksman Nogge: +1 ballistic skill (wtf? oO) Beastmen: Shaman Soltar: got a new skill. For defense, I chose “dodge” Bestigor Vargo: +1 weapon skill Gor Gor-Natak: +1 strength Gor Murgos: +1 leadership (great….) When buying equipment, the reikland player wanted to buy elven bows. Now he has four marksmen with BS 5, which is going to be a huge pain in the ass. I think, he’s going to be my biggest enemy. He’s really strong! So, that was our second game in the campaign, I’m excited which scenario we are going to play next. Next game against Osterlanders will be with my following warband: Chieftain Kal-Torak. Light armor, helmet, sword, club, shield, 23 exp Shaman Soltar. Sword. -1 M (leg wound), 14 exp Bestigor Drog-Tarr. 2x Club, shield, immune to fear, 10 exp Bestigor Vargo, 2x club, shield, helmet, WS 5, 11 exp Centigor Angarak, light armore, helmet, shield, club. Only one arm left, 10 exp Gor Gor-Natak, 2x club, 2 exp Gor Murgos, 2x club, 2 exp Gor Thoros, 2x club, 1 exp Gor Thoros, 2x club, 0 exp Gor Malgor, 2x club, 0 exp Warhound Zerfetzer Warhound Zerfleischer Sums up to a band rating of 133! Don’t know, what to buy next. I have max gors now and wait for one becoming a hero. Next I think I’m going to replace dead warriors and perhaps getting more warhounds. No ungors at the moment. Thinking about saving up for a minotaur, though… ;-) So I’m done. I hope you enjoyed reading. Going to post more, soon! Thank you! Best regards, Seikilos | |

| Thanks for the great report. Are you rolling for random scenarios or do you pick one to play for the evening? Not meaning to butt in, but the skaven could also claim 3 wyrdstone shards from the Defend the Find scenario unless his heroes left the building. The benefit of extra wyrdstone shards is not dependent on winning. - Mordhiem rule book wrote:
- One shard of wyrdstone for each Hero of either warband who is inside the objective building at the end of the game (up to a maximum of three shards per warband).
Not so bad for the skaven now, eh?

| Hi von Kurst,
then it was a mistake by me, because I introduced the scenarios.
I have to look it up in my rulebook, I think there was explicit only the heroes of the winning warband.
Nevertheless, I think the scenario is not balanced anyway.
We picked it, because we wanted to play the scenarios in this order. But eventually we roll for the next.
So with that being true, it would be:
Beastmen: 3 shards Skaven: 3 shards Osterlander: 2 shards (only 2 heroes) Reiklander nothing?
With that rule, it’s even more weird. So the Reiklander wouldn’t have any chance getting in, without winning in advance because he was in 6” around the building. Did we play it totally wrong?

| Hi,
so, I told the others I made a mistake. I think, the Osterlander will buy now something more. And I hope for the skaven player, he thinks about my tipps and buys heroes, verminkins and slings instead of crappy amulets or stuff nobody really needs…

| Sorry I missed this even though I copied the words above it... - Quote :
- With that rule, it’s even more weird. So the Reiklander wouldn’t have any chance getting in, without winning in advance because he was in 6” around the building. Did we play it totally wrong?
It might be weird but it is also part of the balance of the scenario, the outnumbered and possibly surrounded player with the lowest numbers can take home a nice paycheck even if he is stuck in an hard to win fight. As the campaign goes on this scenario is winnable by both the attacker and the defender or it is also a potential massacre for the defender, but it always a good payer which is important to me in a Mordheim scenario. And no the Reiklander did not have a chance of extra income from the scenario given the way he played, but he could have played with the victory conditions in mind and made sure to have heroes in the building before he brought up his superior numbers to end the scenario. I do not believe that you played the scenario 'wrong' from your description. Your players may not have used optimum tactics to get the most out of the scenario, but who does the first time they encounter something? I've played Defend the Find and its various copycat scenarios (Defend the Oasis, Defend the Tomb, etc) dozens if not hundreds of times. Its one of the scenarios I look forward to so I am a bit prejudiced.

| Hi there, so here is my next battle report of my gaming group. It was the third game in the campagn and we played the scenario occupy. After setting up, we rolled that we had to occupy 5 buildings. This was totally irellevant, as you can see later… As you can read above, I started with the warband as following - Quote :
- Chieftain Kal-Torak. Light armor, helmet, sword, club, shield, 23 exp
Shaman Soltar. Sword. -1 M (leg wound), 14 exp Bestigor Drog-Tarr. 2x Club, shield, immune to fear, 10 exp Bestigor Vargo, 2x club, shield, helmet, WS 5, 11 exp Centigor Angarak, light armore, helmet, shield, club. Only one arm left, 10 exp Gor Gor-Natak, 2x club, 2 exp Gor Murgos, 2x club, 2 exp Gor Thoros, 2x club, 1 exp Gor Thoros, 2x club, 0 exp Gor Malgor, 2x club, 0 exp Warhound Zerfetzer Warhound Zerfleischer My opponent was an Osterland-Player. He had his champion (not being able to run anymore), a Priest of Thaal (having the first prayer… “Hirschsprung”?), one blood-brother. As henchmen he had four Jaegers with handguns (all BS 4) and one Ogre with a two-handed-weapon. I set my warband up first, he did as second. We have a rule, that you can not deploy your units in buildings or on their bases, so he set up behind the Tree-building-thing, which was also an objective to be occupied. I split my warband in several groups, having in mind to occupy the buildings. But that thought was only in the first round. Then I forgot about it ;-) I started with two groups of two gors going in the buildings, the rest runs forward. As always I have my Centigor guided by two warhounds and the rest split up. Osterlander also runs forward. Nothing really happens. I run forward, being in cover most of the time. Then I decided to forget the scenario. My goal was: Forcing the opponent to quit by slaughtering all of his warband-members. Unfortunately I forgot to move two gors, so they came a little later. In his turn one of his jaegers runs to the board in order to knock it over. But it didn’t work. And so is my Centigor in charge range of his henchmen… I really could see the bloodthirst in his eyes… His other jaeger was able to shoot. One shot, one warhound ooa. Damn… But to be honest: Now the slaughtering began and the warhound was nothing, I was really worried about. So in my next turn I charged with my Centigor. The rest was to far away and only got in nice charging positions. Though he has only one arm left, he really is a killing machine. No chance for the Jaeger who went OOA. In the osterlander turn nothing really important happened… so I go to my next turn immediately: So in my turn I charged with warhound and one gor to his blood-brother and another jaeger. I can’t remember, what my centigor did… I think he was being attacked by the Ostlanders elder the turn before…? In hand to hand my gor killed his blood-brother and my warhound killed his second jaeger. My spells don’t work, his neither. Though he would be able to rout voluntarily, he didn’t want to. I think he realized how bad it is and wanted to have a bloody loss, being able to create another warband afterwards. So he went on fighting. His ogre attacks my gor and my warhound. He divides his attacks. Nothing happens. But my gor makes a critical hit, so his ogre has only one wound left. Great! His priest fails to cast his prayer…. my Centigor stuns his Elder, which probably was his end. In my turn my Chieftain and one of my bestigors are totally set up for charges for the ogre. Because he causes fear, I make a LD-Test with my chieftain. FAIL. LD-Test Bestigor… FAIL. DAMN. No experience at all! So i make a last effort with my gor. I really am scared of an ogre with a two-handed weapon, so I really tried to kill it, before he can hit again. I positioned my gor for a diving attack an he brutally murdered the ogre.. My centigor killed his knocked down elder, btw, getting his second experience point in this game. So now there’s only the Priest of Thaal left, and now I make a mistake: I cast my spell and now it worked. So I gained control of his priest. In his round he missed his LD-test and I got furthermore control of the priest. f**k. What to do now? I can’t attack it with my gors and the priest can’t attack anything else, because there is nothing left. But after a another turn he got back his control. I tried to kill it with my Chieftain but failed, only knocking him down. But Vargo, my best Bestigor managed to kill him! So after the game I lost the warhound. Osterlander lost everything and burnt his roster sheet. My warband gets +1 exp, Bestigor Vargo and Chieftain Kal-Torak get 2 exp and my great Centigor Angarak gets 3 exp for killing two enemy models, including the opposing chieftain! So here’s what happened after the game: Rolling for wounds: My warhound survives. The skaven verminkin dies.. The assasin adept suffers from now on from an old battle wound, not being able to play in 16% of the games. When allocating experience following individuals got: Skaven Nightrunner: +1 attack Grabesbart, Reiklander Champion: +1 attack Kal-Torak, Chieftain: +1 Str Angarak, Centigor: +1 BS Drog-Tarr, Bestigor: +1 Ini -.- Thoros, Gor: +1 Ini When rolling exploration dice, the skaven rolled 6,5,2,1 getting three wyrdstone which he sold for 60 gold. He didn’t buy anything yet, but I hope for him, he buys henchmen and equipment. Buying something where you have to make a rarity roll for would be complete nonsense. Reiklander rolled 6,6,4,3 getting 4 wyrdstone which he sold for 65 gold. For his double six he got another 3 gold. I had a great roll: 6,6,6,5,3 getting 5 wyrdstone I sold for 80 gold. For my triple six I got a hired sword for free for the next game. Not quite sure, whom to chose. Not quite sure, which swords I can hire, at all?! In our buying phase, I decided to buy an familiar for 23 gold. Unfortunately it didn’t work. With my 7 gold from my last game, I have 64 gold left. So I tried to buy lucky charms for my heroes. Also failed with the rarity roll. In conclusion I bought: 5x rabbit’s foot for my five heroes 2x rope and hook for my chieftain and for Drog-Tarr (Bestigor). They both have the highest initiative of my heroes and therefore seem to be the best climbers anyway. So I have four gold left for my next game, and I’m going again trying to buy lucky charms and a familiar. So here’s my warband ready for the next battle: Chieftain Kal-Torak. Light armor, helmet, sword, club, shield, rope and hook, rabbit’s foot 25 exp Shaman Soltar. Sword. -1 M (leg wound), rabbit’s foot, 15 exp Bestigor Drog-Tarr. 2x Club, shield, immune to fear, rabbit’s foot, rope and hook, +1 Ini, 11 exp Bestigor Vargo, 2x club, shield, helmet, rabbit’s foot, WS 5, 13 exp Centigor Angarak, light armor, helmet, shield, club , rabbit’s foot, Only one arm left, +1 WS, 13 exp Gor Gor-Natak, 2x club, 3 exp Gor Murgos, 2x club, 3 exp Gor Thoros, 2x club, 2 exp Gor Thoros, 2x club, 1 exp Gor Malgor, 2x club, 1 exp Warhound Zerfetzer Warhound Zerfleischer So my actual warband rating would be 147 but of course it depends on which hired sword I’m going to get for my next battle! So thanks for reading! I hope to fight the next battle next week and having painted even more of my warband until then! Best regards, Seikilos

| GREAT REPORT & WONDERFUL PHOTOS! The minis & terrain are TERRIFIC looking; AND your narrative was entertaining. I will admit that winning & losing are meaningless concepts for moi. It's how cool you look when you're doing either that counts...as such this is UBERCOOL STUFF! | |

| Thank you very much for your kind words...
I really appriciate them, because I sometimes really struggle with my battle reports, because english isn't my native language... so if you think this is a nice report, which also entertaining it means a lot to me ;-)

| You are most welcome. To be honest, I am in awe of just how well you & our other non English speaking Forum Folk express yourselves in a language that is at best difficult to master. You not only write in an entertaining manner, but with a certain charm that I would be hard pressed to achieve in the only language in which I am fluent. VERY WELL DONE! | |
