| Thanks, Ben, but that is just the color of the clay. I'll be going with a gray/brown for the bark. Of course, one never knows what colorful thingies will be growing on the tree...do one? | |

| Nice update Al. Never used DAS...with the number of palm trees I have to base and paint, I probably never will. | |

| Thanks, Jim! DAS is pretty nice to work with, a little brittle but otherwise very nice. | |

| Given how vibrant your painted works are, I am surprised the dread Monochrome has any allure...
The new tree is deliciously, or perhaps deciduously, spooky.

| Thanks, Jim. Glad you like it. The major allure of monochromatic is that I would be done at this point...it's the sloth & laziness factor. | |

| Ja, I thought as much.
Oh and that particular troll is my favorite on a Mordheim table. All those fish...

| SO, with all the monochromatic talk, I decided to make a couple of mono/gray scale pieces. The first will be a cavern piece. While it would work nicely with Heep's Place or possibly an extension of Rapunzel's board, it will undoubtedly get the most service as a photo stage. I'm in the carving/gluing stage right now: It's clicking right along as quickly as my putter & tweak approach to terrain building can go...there's already anther piece atop the back wall. I'm hoping the Goblins I have underway will finish about the same time as Grayscale Cavern. | |

| Thanks, Jim. The Stalagmites are one of my better experiments. I did them awhile ago with the idea of doing some twisty cavern/cave stuff in back of Heep's Place. I just got carried away with something else...these things seem to resurface eventually. I just drilled out a wood bead for a nice big eye ball in one of the rock pillars...the eye will be in color while the surrounding area will be mono...should be creepy enough. | |

| Thanks for the kind reply, theomar. Glad you like it; if you're drawing inspiration from my piece, I must be doing something right, & better than I thought. The mono paint job is coming along & some creepy features have been added. | |

| It is nice to see how you terrain build. I like that the rocks are around and not in the middle. That's a very good idea. I have long been the idea to build a rock. | |
