| Hey all, I've just started painting a Dwarven Warband for a friend to play in our campaigns, The updates may be slow for this warband as I'm finishing off a beastman warband and putting togeather a Skaven warband for our next campaign. Also don't think I've forgotten about my Undead warband, they are 90% complete just need to get around to taking some photos! So here is the first on the Dwarves, A slayer, This is the first time I have ever painted a dwarf and boy are they fun to paint. More to come soon, just need to decide which lucky midget gets painted next. Skip | |

I planned for just the slayers to have slightly rusty weapons, since every battle is hopefully their death they in my opinion are not going to buy a nice shiny weapon and even the odds of the fight. Now I just have to pick my next stuntie victim to paint. Though he will probably be a bit grumpy, since he will be vying for my attention with a Skaven and a Beastmen. Skip

| TERRIFIC START! I normally don't care for rusty weapons, HOWEVER, it fits with the Slayers' general indifference to personal appearance...let's not get into hygiene. The bright orange hair & striped trousers look GREAT. FINE WORK! | |

| I thought I'd post some pictures of a handful of the dwarves Pidge and myself have for Mordheim, that I'm about to embark on Painting. We found an absolutely amazing deal on Ebay where we got near enough 3 complete Mordheim Dwarf treasure hunter box sets for a steal. So now I'm to attempt to paint them all *gulp* This represents a little over half of the models, so many fun bits! This is the Engineer on the Left and a hero on the right. These are some of the Beardlings/Clansmen. and some Troll Slayers. and this gang here are the Thunderers. The basic plan is to have enough different stunties to cater for pretty much any warband build. As the Dwarves have been popular to play with by a few of our friends who we coax into playing Mordheim with us. I'll most likelt make a start on the three undercoated Beardlings/Clansmen next. | Love those Mordheim dwarfs! Poors thunderers, they are running away from a minotaur and centigor but they've short legs! | |

| I had never noticed before just how much the Mordheim Pit Fighter Slayer differed in appearance to his War Hammer Brethren. That aside, it looks like you have the makings of a FINE, if somewhat short, War Band. Keep us posted as things develop. | |

| Yeah the Mordheim ones are very very bizarre, If you were to look at them from behind the shoulders look very similar to the Carnival of Chaos brutes. They look very deformed. On that note, I think maybe the carnival need a Brute with a size complex! | |

| Joaos, those models are fantastic! I would grab some if I was not already drowning in dwarf models for the warband. The ones on the third link really catch my eye!
Human fly, the dwarfs and beastmen had a fantastic game the other day. Break through, withthe dwarves defending. So much fun watching stunties chase them around the board hehe.

| Splendid first model! The pants are ace! At first I was a little bit confused as to why you hadn't painted the gemstones into, well, gems, but I grew to like your rendition. Looking forward to more painted ones! | |

| Hey, well I made a good start on two more Henchmen, a Clansman and a Beardling. One has just had his wash, now unfortunately I need to wait and pick up a couple of new paints tomorrow as I'm missing a few to help me get some variety on all these beards. Skip | |

| The Vertically Challenged Ones are coming along VERY NICELY! Dwarfs are some of the more personable of minis; your paint jobs are doing a FINE job of bringing that quality out. Keep up the GREAT WORK! | |

| Right well this morning I completed the Beardling and Clansman. Still need to get to grips with painting hands replaced my brushes yesterday which is certainly making a difference, its nice to feel like you're not fighting the brush. As the old brushed had learnt a few bad behaviors. | |

| The Short Grumpy Ones look like they've just emerged from the dense Lustrian foliage... NICE staging. FINE PROGRESS! My Red Sable Brushes normally stay true until the last bristle, but the Artificial Hair Brushes are born trouble makers. | |

| Right so I decided to crack down today and get a good start on my Dwarf Engineer. I've just got the base layers on and he is ready for a wash before I start highlighting him. I decided to do a checked shirt, having done it before on some trousers, but oh boy is it soo much harder the more area you have to cover! | |

| Checks, stripes, diamonds are all a pain in the extremities, but worth the effort. AND, speaking of effort, drilling out the muzzle on the pistols is also worth the effort. Otherwise the Sawed Off Pistol Packer is LOOKIN' GOOD! | |

| Thanks I've always meant to get a small hand drill, but I always keep forgetting and getting some more models instead! Drilling the barrels sure does make quite a large visual improvement. Highlights for this dwarf tomorrow. Got just under two weeks to complete the roster of Dwarves my friend will play. Anyone got any thoughts on what colour Gromril Armour should be? Been mulling it over as I put the Noble together. I first thought a silvery blue but the more I think on that the more that seems suited to Ithilmir Armour. Needs a slightly more beefy colour I think. | |

| Cool warband so far! I really like engineer whose dark and grimy looks give nice mordheim-feel. Though I'm not huge fan of mordheim dwarf sculpts you've done good job with these figures. | |
