This here will be a log for the hobby progress I make with Anvilcrack's Plunderers. As it stands I've only just compiled a list for my warband. Here it is!

I don't know whether it's a good or bad list, all I know is that it looks fun in my mind's eye and fun is the name of the game in my book. What I have learnt on this forum is that taking all the Heroes available to you is a must and that is about the only rule I've followed.

So far I've purchased from a friend a Dwarf Battalion box and a box of Dwarf Miners with which to make my warband. I'll pick up a box of Dwarf Slayers as soon as Christmas is out of the way. For the time being I have enough to be getting on with...

As promised, Dwarfs!


The first of my two Beardlings and the first time I've tried using Green Stuff...






My second Beardling and in my own opinion my Green Stuff skills are a tad better where the basing is concerned.






Here we have the start of what will be my Engineer. I think he looks a little like a Dwarfish Boba Fett! I went a little crazy with some left over Green Stuff and had a go at making some goggles for him, not to mention extending his left arm to hold his crossbow.

Any advice for improvement and constructive criticism gladly received and welcomed.

NICE START! The Vertically Challenged Lads look COOL...nice bases too.

I was wondering how you were gonna make Beardlings look good when you've seen fit to only give the poor guys daggers.... but you did it!

They are all nice but I especially like your engineer! Just perhaps clean off the last mould-lines before you start painting them!

Thanks very much guys for the encouraging words! Rest assured Grimscull that before I undercoat my lads I'll give them a look over again and tidy them up with a file where necessary.

I thought I'd give my Thunderers cloaks to make them stand out a little more from the rest of the warband.








First Clansman complete with Green Stuff hand! The hand's looking a little large in my opinion. I'll try and file and tidy it up a little bit more before undercoating.


I think I need to have a look through my bits and see what I have that can be added to him to give him a little more character. I think he looks a little bland compared to the rest of the warband.




I think my cobblestones have stepped up a notch since my first three. I'm happier with the outcome here.

After a quiet day in watching The Lord of the Rings and gathering inspiration I got stuck in and slopped some paint down on the first of the warband. I present to you my first Beardling!





I'd say he's 95% done. He just needs a couple more highlights and the base tidied up. I'm not 100% happy with the colour scheme for his tunic. I can't make up my mind whether or not the red and green I've used work.

That is the beginning of a nice warband indeed. actually I like the colour schema on the beardling, it's quite in the "I grabbed what's practical on a voyage to Mordheim".

Your engineer is absolutely stunning! exactly what I'm wanting for my dwarves. The totally packed model with gadgets at stuff really sets the right mind of the craftsman.
