| I had fun making these guys. I used mostly washes and drybrushing to paint them. This is a big change from my usual layering and mixing. This Warband will be a good opportunity to learn to paint with a looser faster and dirtier style. | |

| The warband is called "The Hammer of God" or maybe "The Hammer of Sigmar" and I want hammers to be the most common weapon in the band. I dont like posting unfinished minis but the following is a taste of how I want this band to look. I'm trying for a more realistic and frightening appearance. Which hunters: Warrior priest: Wait out for finished models soon. Cheers. | |

| I like the dogs, they look very much the part, both as dogs and as Witch Hunter company. But I like your Witch Hunter models even better - looking forward to seeing them painted!
My favourite is the warrior priest, but all of them have in common a good use of men-at-arms and flagellant parts. Keep 'em comin!

| The Witch Hunters aka Old Lady Burners have TREMENDOUS potential..the added green stuff details are SPLENDID. I LOVE the Dogs; the Relieved One & the Chihuahua are my favorites in the pack. GREAT WORK! If you're having fun with The Project, you've achieved the objective of the craft. | |

| The witch hunters definitely have that look of crazed zealots! If the dogs are any indication of your painting, then they're gonna look great! | |

| Awesome start! The dogs are great and really mixed, the chiuaua (how do you spell it???) looks just like Mordheimer's avatar The witch hunters look really mean and foreboding and vey medieval. Good use of the brettonians if I may offer a small suggestion it would be to remove the two heads. Skulls are fine on witch hunters but I think heads are a bit over the top and perhaps even chaotic. Other than that it looks like you are on the right track. - DeafNala wrote:

The witch hunters are know for their careful and sound testing of witches. There is no recorded instance of an innocent old granny having been burned, drowned, quartered or otherwise maimed.

| I have to admit that I'm not a big fan of the Wyrd Zombie Dog models (though you painted them up nicely). Too comic-y for my taste. Which in itself shouldn't bother you, since this is your warband of course. But I think that the Wyrd- and Citadel-Style usually don't match and this is a good example. Especially if your are going for a "more realistic and frightening appearence", the difference between the dogs and humans might be a bit rough. Wyrd wound't be my first choice when it comes to "realistic". The humans though look terrific so far. It is amazing what one can do with imagination, the Citadel-sprues and some GS-skills. I know your Reikländer and the Witchhunters WILL look terrific in the end! | |

Hm, I've always found GW the more cartoony company, less intent on realism, and so on. I guess it's matter of taste.

| Grimscull. I hear you on the Wyrd dogs. I spent a while trying to decide on an appropriate pack. I settled on these fellas and shipped em from the US. I especially like the bull dogs. The rotties are not brilliantly modelled in my opinion and the little fella is probably a bit too small and comical to pass as a warhound. They all needed a fair amount of cutting and greenstuff to"dezombify". I just modelled a halfling scout to join. I probably won't achieve the realism that I was initially after. He's pretty comical with a gnoblar body. To be posted soon. Cheers. | |

| Wow, that is such a great cook! This one will stay in my mind. The paintjob on the WH turned out nice and so did the modelling of the ogre. I said your WH will look fantastic earlier and you didn't prove me wrong! | |

| VERY WELL DONE! The new & improved photos show the splendid brushwork & converting off to advantage. Both the Cook & Witch Hunter turned out GREAT...nice color choices. The Ogre is a FANTASTIC piece; from what has come before him, he should be a centerpiece creation. keep up the FINE WORK! | |

| Very nice modelling (I like the collar on the crossbow wielding Witch Hunter). The halfling cook looks really Mordheim-esque!

| Wow! I only came across this thread just now. Your conversions are amazing! Also, good job with painting those dogs. Painting dogs - more specifically the fur - is always a challenge for me.
Keep it up!
