Starting warbands - Post them here! (Read first post, plz)

Rather than creating new threads each time you can post your starting warbands in this thread to have them discussed with the community.

If you are a beginner please have a look at some general hints and guidelines at Mordheimer.com before posting. There are tactics for starting warbands in general as well as detailed tactics for the most commons warbands so you might want to have a look at these.

First, I think it's good that you think about the warband before buying models

But a necromancer can't cast spells in armour, as long as he has not the skill Battle Wizard.
And I wouldn't buy armour at all, the vamp doesn't need any anyway , you could buy some later on the campaign, but in the beginning I would not.
But of course it's up to you

so.. i should in any case kick the armour of my necromancer..
that means i have 60 Gc more :3
but it was WYSIWYG, right? and i can't really make a samurai vampire without armour i think but really thanks for your help, now i can buy an extra doggie :3

That's a point, I'm glad that you care for such things, but I think it would be enough in this case to give him light armour.
And buy some parias or how ever they are called!
They seem week, but we're in Mordheim, where the most unexperianced warrior can become stronger than the Captain in the end of a campaign.

If i may add my grain of salt: You need pariahs. In fact, if possible you should ALWAYS have the max amount of heroes in your warband.

Concerning WYSIWYG: I personnally would also allow a vampire to NOT purchase armour even if the actual model wears samurai armour, as long as the model is painted/sculpted in such a way that it is VERY clear that it's the vampire. In other words: I would allow WYSIWYG to be ignored in the case of armour if the vampire model is so unmistakeable that the opponent is not prone to "forgetting" what equipment it has.

Just an idea though...

I am working on a Witch Hunters Warband, and don't know where to place it, Because I want to put my Finished Models and Warband lists and stuff here to.. So sorry if it's in a ''wrong'' topic I've maded a warband lists of a total of 487 Gold Crowns.

Some suggestions:

-Leave out the captain's two-handed weapon, give him a club, so he can uses club+dagger or club+shield

-Same with the zealots, they are quite weak, a club and maybe a short bow could be better.

-Well, priest with crossbow... As an emperial general, this feels somehow wrong, the captain can make better use of the crossbow I think.

-Flagellants may not use bows etc, so I would give him a flail(looks cool )

But Erk is right: lose the double handed weapons, and give a crossbow to your captain. Also Flagellants can only carry either Flails or Double-handed weapons. Sorry

I think it simply looks strange, but do as you want, it's your warband.

Btw I counted 519gc

ok maybe made another little fault Yes I agree with you that it will look strange but I need some extra fire power
