Windows windows windows.

I’m still doing the windows on the Gilded Griffin, but should be done today.

This is the last of the 5 buildings in the middle of the town. My goal is to have them glued in place, and base detailed by the end of the weekend. We’ll see though, real life has been interfering quite a bit.

The painting job is superb but the roof tiles seems too thin, or it is just me?

Hmmm, could be. I'm guessing about .25 inch think in scale. I do think the card shingles I used to use looked better, but I can detail these styrene strips, plus they are easy to work with. I think I can give them more depth with more paint!

As lovely as your work in progress pieces look, the finished creations are even more BEAUTIFUL. The windows, doors, the embellishment on the second floor, & the brushwork are WONDERFULLY WELL DONE!

Perhaps its seeing something in a more realistic scale rather than the more heroic proportions of Warhammer scenery.

what do you use for the glazing in the windows? - I've tried it with zap a gap but never had such lovely results as you seem to get. And I love that you have painted some of the windowpanes in different colors! that's just brilliant level of detail!

I'm using woodland scenics water effects to do the windows. To color the glass, I use regular felt tip on the inside of the window, before installing them.

Window boxes and a sign for the Olde Crow.

sign is foam, and some jewelry bits.

VERY NICE! The sign & the window boxes are a CHARMING touch & they dress the place up WONDERFULLY. The window boxes give me an idea for something to add to one of the Goblin Shanty Town pieces; ideas, like excuses, are to be treasured...thanks!  

So, any games being played on this table yet? If so, any pictures of games being played? (Hint hint lol )

The sign and the boxes are fantastic! Slight quibble is that the lettering on the sign looks older and more worn than the rest of the building, which looks to be in very good repair.

Holy cow! I'm a Johnny-Come-Lately to this thread, and I've just been reading from page 1, working my way through the thread. It's slow going because, unlike most blogs, I'm reading almost every word. Such great inspiration. I love it.

And I just saw that you're a fellow Michigander! I'm up in Royal Oak, just half an hour away! It makes me proud for our area.

Wow, yeah! Howdy neighbor. Haven't had much chance to work lately, I run a store, so the holidays are nuts. Hopefully I'll get back into the swing of things soon.

Painting is nearly done on these wall houses. Ready to start doing windows. Tomorrow.

I know I shouldn't be, but I am jealous. I love your creativity, the little things you put in, the fact that you take some insane time on the windows, just plain lovely. Can't wait to see the end result.

Your progress is as IMPRESSIVE as always. The subdued colors look LOVELY & your FINE brushwork brings out all the details. I'm looking forward to your window treatments. GREAT WORK!
