| Wow! I am simply amazed at that table. I love all of it. The narrow alleyways, the giant shrooms and especially the huge warehouse. That's exactly the sort of thing I want for my Skaven hideout (that's advance warning that I'm going to pillage your ideas like a pack of black orcs on a stag weekend).
Also, the Morrowind influence is very cool; a great game that I love to this day. Now if only you can build a Silt Strider I'll bow down and worship you... Or how about the giant shell/city thing. That would rock, maybe a little out of place in Mordheim but when it's that cool no one will mind. Now all you need to do is search ebay to find someone willing to sell you more hours to fit into a day.
Edit: I got so overexcited by the early stuff I didn't even realise there were another 2 pages of awesome. That arena is seriously hardcore, makes me want to build some rat-drawn chariots for my Skaven and come visiting. Although I've been informed by my good lady, Simone, that KingSkin+Coffee Shops+Bendy Ladies=No More Simone, so it's unlikely I'll make it anytime soon.

| Finally! the races have commenced! last friday, we've had ourselves a go at the chariot races, on the nearly (that is, partially) finished race track. a grand 16 players participated in the race making it a massive, varied and fun though slightly long game. We've had 12 year olds, mothers, fathers, storeowners, newbies, goldendeamon winners and plain nutters participating in the game, and it was overwhelming! In total, there were 3 Chaos Chariots, 1 Squig Chariot, 1 Orc Boar Chariot, 1 Lion Chariot, 1 Dark Elf Chariot, 1 Tiranoc Chariot, 1 Rhinox, 1 Scraplauncher, 1 Tombking Chariot, 2 Black Coaches, 1 Skaven Doomwheel, 1 Beastman Chariot, and Deamon Lord Santah Claws. Some where amazing convertions, where others where just loaded with madness and fit the game perfectly! spanning 120 cm x 220 cm, it was a big table, and we just fit around it. The start itself was massive, and just in good old racing fashion, there were collisions, crashes, conflicts and deaths! (2 of us never even made it past the starting line! haha) 2 laps were needed in order to finish the race, and soon it became evident that not everyone would make it (in fact, only 3 managed to finish the race) With so many deaths in the first two turns, the start of the track was littered with obstacles, and therefore made it nigh impossible for the 6 live chariots to pass trough on the second round. In the end, the Skaven Doomwheel finished first, followed by Santah Claws, closely followed by the Orc Boar Chariot. Now, Some images for you! the starting lineup. the mayhem commences! the first turn is reached by but a few of us... (notice my brilliant move -Lion Chariot- :S straight into the wall! (wrong movement estimate led to my death...) those lucky enough to survive the first round make for their 2nd lap Deamon lord Santah Claws is followed closely by an Orc Chariot, but finishes just in time. | |

| YES! You pulled it off MAGNIFICENTLY! EXCELLENT looking group of folks who OBVIOUSLY were playing for the fun of it all! The mix of chariot types is hilarious; the Black Coach reminds me of the Munster's Hot Rod. The Domed structure on the dividing thingy is JUST beautiful. FANTASTICALLY WELL DONE! | |

| now that all the racing madness is over... though still completion of the project is required... I can finally focus on Mordheim again!! jeuj! so, I've been working on the warehouse a bit, but ran out of stuf to make my thatched roof out of... :S and... I finally cooked up a nice way of making the windows for the backside of the warehouse, and finished up that little top... Personally I really love the way it looks... Then, since I was lazing in bed a bit this morning, I drew a little sketch for one of my next buildings... I figured an inn was in place, plus I read about a nice design for one in a book last night... it will roughly be the same size as the warehouse, only in a more mordheimish way, (it needs more funky little things though... perhaps a couple of the "burtonesq" towerspires, and some more corners for hiding and assasinating! | |

| thanks for the kind replies guys..
well, the inn could not be resisted, and as today was (kindof) a day off, Istarted off on it... floorplan and rampart/staircase is done... but it turned out to be a little bit too low... so, in order to make it stand out more... there's gonna be a second and THIRD floor on this one.. and a lot of different levels of playability... it's gonna have a little patio kind of bar, and about 7 or 8 guest rooms.. (and some secret doors/hatches... I just love drawing stuff on foam!!
for the painting part... unfortunately, I left my paints at my parents... so there's no painting for a while... :S
gives me time to work on the new building though! jeuj!!

| all right... couldn't resst so I built today, and update tonight!! I've been working on the floorplan, and did quite a lot of drawing out to get it right, but I think I've got it... there's gonna be loads of small towers on this one... but first I had to built the staircase.. which was a lot of work... seeing as most of it's suspended, and needs to come out for playability... I like how it's turning out though... here some tasers for you! and on the back of this part I wanted a nice littel hallway with relics and a window to overlook the city.. All the outer walls are still unnatached, and I'm thinking of keeping it that way, as all the rooms are shallow, and easily entered form the side... or at least I hope so... Any of you tried removing walls instead of roofs? what do you think, should I try it? | |

| The stairs ARE beautiful; a VERY nice piece of fabrication. The little niche for the relics or whatever is a REALLY cool idea. Have you noticed that EVEN the simplest of structures tend to get more & MORE complex as you work on them? | |

done some more work last night... (all of a sudden it turned out to be 2.30.. hurray for my job today...) unfortunately, I'm flat out of wood right now, so I can't finish up tonight... but I've added a bunch of oddball stuff, and I hope I'll post some updates for you tonight!
I've grown to love it allready, and decided this will be my main centerpiece for a while (at least untill I've made a new centerpiece.. the utter mordheimyness collected in to one single shrine of awesomeness... (ok, maybe I should try and realise it before making such statements.. hehe)
We shall speak tonight!!

| And updates there are! been working a bit tonight, but it was a lot of puzzeling, so not too much phisical evidence :S most of the walls are still held in place by pins so I can still reach all of it.. I've made 4 rooms, and the basis for 3 more, and the staircase is allmost finished... also the facade got some wood now... both the 2nd and 3rd floof will be covered in that, and the little roofs will be thatched, wheras the big roof will be wood as well... and then, litter it with chimneys. under the big window, there will be stables, but I can't make that untill I glue it in place.. there is still some true mordheimy building sceduled, but I need more wood for that... :S well that's it... early day tomorrow! cheers | |

| Aww crap... I couldn't resist.. I've been at home for the last 2 days as my back quit on me... (spend most of my hours on the couch, being utterly bored and incapable of moving.. ) but ... I've managed to come up with a nice new building Idea and did the flooring for it.. it's gonna be a big temple/cloister (30cm x 60 cm) with a lot of figurines and gargoyles! I figured I needed a temple since I play inquisitors (witch hunters) at this point I can tell you it's gonna be awesome, though quite a bit of work... and I haven't even finished my other 2 buildings! noeees! pleas hold me back!! now I just need a cheap range of models for statues (roughly the same size or slightly bigger as the normal models... and a range of small ones for the gargoyles.. tips would be appreciated!! | |

| hehe jack, obviously you got a full grasp of the meaning of CHEAP range of models but Inquistor had crossed my mind too... were it for the prices.. :S nah, been to the local store [CURSE YOU LOCAL STORE OWNERS FOR HAVING SUCH A COOL RANGE OF EXPENSIVE MODELS!!] and it turns out most models will be rather expensive to just go and glue them into the walls... so now I'm scavaging old models of the empire range and searching over ebay and the likes... while searching stores though, it came to my ears that appearantly, in Essen at the anual fair -right now... most of the stores are DUMPING there range of rackham, as it went down again... so any of you in the facinity of Essen, make your moves today or tomorrow as it will be your last chance! (don't exactly know how much is true of this, as I got into a discussion with the guy (store owner) about the size of GW models (he was convinced everything is slightly larger than warmaster, and no more... so either, I've been playing something entirely different over the last couple of years, or he's got voices in his head... - not an uncommon thing for gamestoreowners ) Aaaaanyway... statues are still not definitive... so I'll keep you posted, and tips would be greatly apreciated! cheers | |

| This is great stuff man. My only cretique is on the wall texturing. Wood planking normally has straight edges, because if the wood is curved, you'll never get the peices of wood to line up perfectly leaving gaping holes. I would use a ruler - but I'm just a realist But it is awesome. I really love the character. It is great. | |

| Ashton, yeah, I know what you mean, but seeing as it's such small a grain in the balsa, I figured that it would look a little bit more mordheimy this way... otherwise it just looks a bit TO straight (as I don't take the time to make the walls go all different directions and such..)
but thanks for the keen eye! I need stuff like that to stay focussed!
Nala, I'll give em a try... found some trough amazon... but they don't ship to europe... hairyassBz!
