| Thanks guys! Seeing as how I got into finishing up most of my unfinished projects (read - all of my projects!) and my girlfriend was out of the country for a couple of days, I had the place to myself and decided to actually finish up a lot of things I wanted to get done to the city. I have yet to make windowsills for all the buildings, but aside from that all exteriors are about done. I've added little signs, big signs, some lanterns and hooks, and just created a bit of atmosphere for the town. (the windowsills I'll make with the help of my sister and her laserskills, I just need to get her to teach me how to digitally edit the shapes so they will get a nice 3D engraving in them and then it's just copy paste, rescale a bunch of things, and print! :)saves me a hell of a lot of time compared to cutting everything in place, and it adds nice details! Finally finished up the temple of Morr, which still sported a plain white plasticard roof, and therefore never got used... The set up as it is now is 180x90 cm, which is far to large for a regular battle, but I just really like the way it looks haha! well, here you are: [/code]I promise to not take pictures with my phone when it's all completely finished. for now, just deal with it [edit] fixed the broken linke for the fiendish fish photo.

| Oh, that's sooooooooooooooo cool!!!!! Thanks a lot for posting these pictures. Love the feel of them (actually, at a quick glance, some of them look like a real place). As I said before, I love the fact that each building is unique and has its own character. Overall, an amazing production!

| Here you go, we had a little game last sunday, and it was good! it was a 2vs3 monsterhunt game with the combined warbandratings being roughly equal. so we figured it should be good and balanced. We (I was on the 3 player side) bided our time, sending one player through the sewers to flank the enemy, and came to close quarters perfectly synchronised, forcing one of the 2 players to rout within the first turn of actual combat (turn 5) The second player devided his forces to have half of his band charging the monster (a Griffin holed up in the temple) and the other hand fending off the chargers which came from three sides. In a freaky turn of events, and a stupid amount of luck on his dice rolls, he managed to kill whatever he charged or shot at (except the Griffin) but we couldn't dent his forces. Even goblins and squigs proved too hardened for our mercenaries and darkelf forces... or just our lousy dicerolls. The darkelf player and I routed in the same turn (turn 7) And the next turn our last player routed as well (shortly after the Orc player just making his rout roll) and the victory went to the enemy - who single handedly fended off 3 warbands with double his rating, AND a griffin... things were crazy... but we had a blast only thing is we just took these scratchy photo's, no closeups. hope you feel the atmosphere though. oh, and yes, that cabinet you see in the last picture I made this spring for the specific task to hold all my scenery and models. - sad thing is, the arena and fortress are too big to fit in, and it's already too small haha. | |

| Excellent work sir Glad to see you put your recovery to good use. It is a pity that such a lovely table is probably unplayable, but it does look splendid! | |

| Thank you VK. It may be playable if only it has a broader table to rest upon. because now you can't lean or bump into anything without it falling to the floor... that would be rather uneasy playing. - especially with my rowdy group! (things got knocked over a lot last weekend ) In total it's 150x150 cm now so it should be doable if I can refrain from putting all the tall buildings at the edges it just makes for nicer playing in the centre, but it gets in the way of everybodies sleeves... oh well. | |

| It is a thing of BEAUTY...the precarious nature of the buildings on the edge adds a certain excitement to the game, along with an opportunity to use some really colorful expressions. WONDROUS WORK as always! | |

| Thanks dude! Haha, yeah well, the table has reached it's limits... the Arena (along with a bunch of other rather large buildings) was forced to stay in it's cabinet. What's it that makes it feel 'old west' to you? We played a bunch of other games, and I've gotten some more casualties (though I did manage to claim some serious loot through random treasure and encounters and an exploration roll of 6 6 5 5 5 But with all the corpses going around I figured it was time to get my town a proper graveyard. - Its still on the paintstation, but here's what I've got going It's a garden of morr set and a citadel wood set combined with some tombstones from a manufacturer I forgot, but everyone seems to use it, and some blue foam in the mix worked out pretty well, though the walls included in the garden of morr ar far from long enough to use it in any decent way... maybe I should get myself a second set ) | |

| AAARRGH! FLAT FOLIAGE! With the exception of G.W.'s aforementioned 2 dimensional foliage, the Graveyard in the Works looks TERRIFIC. The hills are particularly cool...grass tuffs have taken over the miniature ground cover world. Keep up the GREAT WORK...whenever you find time!

| Haha, yes Alan, it's rather on the flat side... though As my inlaws insisted on getting me christmas gifts (I don't do christmas, we've sinterklaas which is a lot more fun in every aspect - no necessary decorations, no best wishes obligations, no fat man to boost sales, just crap ass gifts not exceeding €2,- drinks, and insulting poetry. Ah yes, and the occasional racism debate due to poor history teaching... so what's not to love! :p) Back on topic, I needed to come up with some last minute gift ideas... and as I am a happy man I've no wishes at all (or at least I seem to forget them around holiday season and birthdays... ) So this sprung to mind as I wanted to make the evil tree random encounter and get some gravestones under a tree (Ran into a nice little graveyard in Indonesia 2 years back, which was nothing more than a hillside with one big tree and some stones. and wanted to make this ever since...) And it is a rather easy set to work with, save for the foliage... that's utter crap. 1mm2 connection area for the entire thing? that's never gonna last 2 games... The base made for a nice swampy area with the addition of some pools, dead horse and mushroooms! (that must be to your liking Alan ) The grass on the tombs is actually just regular static grass, it just looks like tuffs from this angle. | |

That sounds like my kind of Holiday...well, I don't drink anymore, but I understand there are interesting things to smoke in The Netherlands. - Ezekiel wrote:

That reminds me of the cemetery on the other side of the street from my Grandma's house. It was a very old, long forgotten maze of tombstones, mausoleums, & some very strange twisted trees. It was The Perfect Place to play hide & seek. - Ezekiel wrote:

I couldn't quite make that out in the photo. It sounds like a WONDERFUL piece...especially the mushrooms. You wouldn't by any chance have a close up or two of The Swamp? - Ezekiel wrote:

You did a great job getting the stuff to stand up straight...that's what made me think of tufts. Addendum:I just got a great idea as to what I'm going to put under The Tree in my Shanty Town board from your Graveyard piece... THANKS for the inspiration! | |

| Glad to've been of help! You're going to have to wait until the water effects cures (and until I've applied more layers after I've bought a new batch of the stuff - Thought I had 3 flasks left, turned out it was one partially dried out flask...) As for the gras, I just apply some woodglue, and get a thick clot of grass, which I lightly press into the glue. - pushing the back of the clot, so the seperate hairs can slide alongside eachother a bit without getting pressed into the glue too much. Then I immediately turn the piece upside down and give it a couple of firm taps on the bottom to get rid of all excess grass and to get the hairs to stand upright (usually one of the ends is more firmly attached to the glue than the other. This gets them to 'stand upright' looking forward to your creations! | |

| Oh All right Alan, because I'm a nice guy... or because I have to wait for the washes to dry... either way... a little swampy teaser, from this angle you don't see that the water is all white still - you don't see much color at all really, but you do see mushrooms! oh, and tradewagon accidents... - more dead horses for the merchants! yeay! There's actually 9 mushrooms in the swamp, but somehow I've failed to get them in the frame... - it will be accompanied by giant mushrooms though, so no worries | |
