Building a city, formerly known as River and Street W.I.P.

Thank you, i feel very flattered by all of your comments.
First i have to disapoint all who waited for more pictures with some of my minis or other terrain pieces. I promise you to show some but now i´m to busy to do some. But i did some nerve-racking work like the floors etc... .

It's been a few day that i've posted but i had a lot of nerve -wrecking work to do. I finished the roof and i glued every single shingle to its place. but now its done. here a few pictures:

NICE WORK on the roof...CONGRATULATIONS on completing a piece of mind numbing drudgery. WELL DONE!

Wow, that is really really good! Loving how the corners can be removed, makes me want to build a large inn...

The building is looking great. I also love the way you made it transformative to be either ruin or whole! Your river system is beautiful - great job on making it very uniform, and the water effect is excellent. I'd love to see more of your modular street when you get it painted.

After reading all your comments i felt a bit embarrassed. Thank you, you are all too friendly.
Now i´m busy painting the street it only needs one more drybrush and some gras. Until i´ve done this i will post some pictures. But because you are all so nice i decided to show some old stuff (i think not as good as the actuall but i still like it and at the time i´ve build it i was very proud)

As it is that's PRETTY DARN COOL! While it might not be up to your current standards, it's a FINE piece of work...it wouldn't take much effort to bring the Old Treasure up to speed. VERY WELL DONE!

I´ve finished my street and the river. Some ask for pictures on my table so idecided to show both on the table with a few of my old terrain with it.

looks like most of them were scratch built with Empire and Brettoniain bits, card cut shapes and other odds and ends.

I see an Empire knight's shield, Empire laurels, Brettonian Fleur de lais, Brettonian knight helmet dragon and skull, cup and other shapes cut out for tombstone and entryway decoration.

@ Theo: Thank you, like Etrigan mentioned they are all self done. Using some bits, some foam, card and a sharp knife. I think he listed all the bits i´ve used. It´s a few years, maybe there is some more i don´t remember for now.

I´ve forgot to tell that the space between the wood and the street is were the Tavern will go. The village will need some more houses (maybe a church, i have an old model i possibly can renew, to fit to my new stuff). After i´ve seen my old and my new stuff side by side i recogniced that the old need some more work to bring it to the actuall standard (for excample the old stuff has an green undercoat). Maybe i find a way to do it easy and good looking.

That's coming along really well. And you have loads of space on your board to deploy several buildings and have epic games. A church is always a plus, especially now that you have your graveyard there.
Tweaking the old stuff to match the new one (or vice-versa) is always a good idea, as it will give a consistent look to the board. It reminds me, I have to redo a whole Orc village that I'd bought a long time ago!

it´s been a while since my last post. But now i had time to get some paint on my tavern.

I have to do a few more details (interior, a tavern sign...). And i already have an idea for my next project. It will be a wizard tower. I hope it won´t take too much time because i will use a pringles packing.

VERY WELL DONE...it's good to see the Tavern is still in business despite damages done. You did a FINE job with the painting...the Big Guy with the axes did a sterling piece of work on the wood pile.

That Wizard's Digs look like a lighthouse, which actually might be cooler than a more traditional approach. Watching your project progress will be a delight.
I probably should do a retitling on my Maudeheim project also...Miscellaneous Stuff, while accurate, doesn't sound attention grabbing however.

Nice stuff man! Never thought of doing buildings like you do yours, I might have to try it out.

Just a quick update

That is going to be a VERY COOL Tower. The stone arches are an EXCELLENT touch. Keep posting as the piece develops...this will be a FINE project to follow.

i have done some more work on my magetower. I decided to do the house like it was build long after the ancient tower. just because the mage needed more space. For the roof i tried some new. I want to plaster the tower so you want see the struktur of the package. And i need some chain for the railing. But here are the pictures
