Blood Angels Army - WiP

Gotcha; you mean like Woodland Scenics Water Effect or such. I thought you had some new way of doing regular ground...doh.

So, I finished the flyer's base, water effects and everything:



And I made some progress with the StormRaven, I painted all the base colors and applied washes to the body, so there's still a lot to work on. Need to get rid of the decals' gloss, finish the main cockpit interiors, etc.
The hard part will be to blend the reds up to BloodRed/BloodyRed, those are some huge flat surfaces I need to cover, it will be hard not to leave brush strokes behind.. (damn, It would be awesome to own an airbrush, specially for this kind of model... oh well..)

Personally I would add some Smoke Dust at the rare of the engine. Also some little patches of rust would be nice.

That is a BEAUTY! The Storm Raven painted up WONDERFULLY & the finely scenic work on the base really adds that certain extra bit of detail that makes this a centerpiece model. VERY WELL DONE!

Looking good already! I guess you will make some more weathering, but don't go for rust. Never fly in a rusty vehicle!

I kind of finished the main cockpit/pilot... It does look a lot worse on the picture though =( (it is a pretty bad picture, but it's quite cloudy today...)
But thanks to the stained dark effect on the glass most of this won't even show, that's why I went for hightlights up to white.. so that some of the pilot's shape could come through the dark transparency later.

He looks pretty darned cool to moi. I really like all the instruments. VERY WELL DONE as always!

So I started blending reds on the hull, I'm still not done though, but you should be able to notice some of the red gradients already. The Decals are a problem, I'll just freehand the blood angel icons on top of the decals to cover it. And after all the blending is done I'll finish the metal highlights and make a little weathering and paint chips here and there and I'll be done.

You're getting a fine level of depth with your blending...EXCELLENT EFFECT!

Really nice! The shading is coming along great. I agree that the decals look subpar, but I'm sure you'll fix it!

Well, now She is finished... couldn't fix the decals completely. though =(

WOW! She is a BEAUTY...the Lady has definite centerpiece qualities. WONDERFULLY WELL DONE!
