| Hi all, I'm fairly new to Mordheim and modeling, but the Marienburgers definitely stood out as my favorite warband. The warband will be lead by Captain Andras. My first swordsmen has been completed. He turned out pretty satisfactory. LUDWIG My second swordmen, unpainted. KARLHEINZ | |

| You chose some vivid poses for your swordsmen and the paintjob of swordsman number one turned out nice. I also like your basedesign. Just one thing: you can still see the mouldlines on Ludwig's right leg and foot. It's no tragedy, but so you can remove them on Karlheinz, if you wish to. | |

| No way that this is the first mini you painted.
This is too good for the first mini.
Great job, enjoy the feeling of finished miniatures.

| Thanks for the encouraging comments.
I will certainly start filing down the mouldlines in the future. I didn't even notice em, haha.
More updates coming soon!

| VERY CHIC looking War Band...Karl turned out to be quite the snappy dresser appropriately enough. VERY WELL DONE! For what it's worth, I rather like the plumage on the Archer; it's a flashy little touch that could be expected of a Mareinburger or a veteran soldier of the Renaissance for that matter. | |

| Great poses, and modeling. I particularly like the mushrooms and bottle...but the bases are a bit bland other than those few tidbits. Otherwise your color scheme and painting skills are very nice indeed.
Keep up the good work, I'll be watching for further updates.

| I'm a big fan of these Marienburgers, excellent poses and details! Inspirational work. I particularily like the way each character is loaded up with equipment and bits and bobs that really fits in with the adventuring theme.
For fluff purposes (I can't fully remember off hand) are Marienburg supposed to be a small group of wealthy chaps who are accompanied by a band of thugs and brigands hired from the docks and the like?

| Well done! The posing is very dynamic, and you're perfectly right giving loads of gear to your models! You've got some painting skills as well, very good detailing and shading. Keep 'em coming! | |

| Great paintjob on Karlheinz, the bottle turned out especially well. I'd cut the wing off of Bernard's hat. He looks like putting a great deal into keeping his silouette small to not be seen. A tall, fancy wing doesn't support this look. Great job on his pose btw. The right arm on Hessen is rather large imo. Also, this hammer is really HUGE. I don't think he could hold it in this position for more that a second. The pose on Linus is a little static. Combined with his face, he looks like he doesn't really know what to do next. But maybe that is just me. All together a fine looking warband. All the extra gear really is something! | |

| Hi all! Wow its been a while but the real world got in front of this little hobby I enjoyed (though brief). I am now starting up again and will hopefully be able to finish this war band. So here are some new figs. Unfortunately I am having the damnedest time getting good quality photos but I wanted to provide an updates anyways. Once I get my old camera working I will provide an update of the finished war band with better pics. I took some comments in an downgraded Hessen's arm as it bothered me as well. I think this new axe is very unique and fitting. Hessen, swordsman. I don't have names for some of this other's but they will come once painted. This next guy I did a conversion from the empire champion and chopped him up and gave him a shooting pose. THe blood wiping and thickness of the blood on the model always bothered me, but his head and armor was perfect for a Marienburger. I also lopped off the feather. 1st Champion Next is Captain Andras. He is essentially just arm conversions of the Marienburg captain. I really liked how evil and affluent the model looked so I just went with it. Also haven't seen many use him. Swordsman Here as you'll see I cut off the feather on Bernard to give him that low profile and hired northerner look. 2nd Champion Warrior - this guy I might take off the sheild and double sided hunting spear and giver him those crossbow arms from the militia set. I like the way they drop down and make it look like he's picking a target. Thoughts? Opinions wanted, -Jeff | |

| Nice to see you back on the project. About Hessen: the new axe looks better, however in the pic it looks like the new arm was way bigger that the rest of the model. And it is fancier-closed. The first Champ looks fine, though the pic really isn't that good (as you said yourself). I like your captain and I REALLY like the bases on your finished models. The swordsman: nice model, but why a double-handed sword? He cannot use his special-rule with those. I like the poses and extra details of the other three though to me the spear-guy looks more like he wasn't sure what he is supposed to do. Keep up the reall good work though! | |

| Hey jeff, your warbands looking pretty awesome, if I'm correct your using the milita/state tropper/archers sprues? I'm in progress of doing the very same thing myself though I doubt I could match your fine greenstuff skills! I was wondering if you'd considered any other paint schemes, As far as I can tell your using the blue/yellow/red from the eavy' metal folk (and it looks awesome!). I was considering some sort of Purple and yellow with hints of white, what do you guys reackon? | |

Purple is ostentatiously dapper... Do your warriors benefit from federal funding? The Church of Handrich has emptied its coffers to supply your opulent livery perhaps. Regards, Werekin

Regards,
Werekin The fluff for Marienburg does I believe mention their wealth & taste for the opulent...purple would fit with that. Of course purple & yellow are the colors G.W. assigned to Ostermark, which they also claim is a dirt poor area of the Empire. Love Hessen's expression...The Man looks ticked. VERY WELL DONE!

| There is a district (or ghetto) somewhere in the port representing each nation of men from across the Warhammer World. Hardly a realistic notion to define the dress code for the free city of Marienburg's population with one set of colours. Of course we are talking about Marienburgers abroad in the sense that they visited Mordheim and the liveries detailed will be military mercenary companies which makes a fair starting point for hired soldiers. But who's to say what strange manner of sell-swords you might expect to meet claiming, "I hail from Marienburg!" There were battles aplenty within the confusing jangle of Marienburg's almost organic streets. Every minor princeling with a grudge was on the warpath six months out of a given year, looking to increase his portfolio or his influence. That discounted the so-called claimants to the long-vacant Barony of Westerland.— Knight of the Blazing Sun, A Warhammer Novel by Josh Reynolds
