Here are some archers:

My fearless champion:

A captain or another champion with double barreled pistol and climbing hook:

Another angle:

And finally a couple of night watchmen (to be repainted):

I would really love some hints on taking better pictures! The "bright" looking ones are taken with the flash, and the "orange" looking shot was taken with one lamp pointing at the miniatures. Anybody have any suggestions for better clarity/brightness without having to use the flash?

Use a better lamp!

lol

no, seriously, what you could do is download "Irfanview", a small programme where you can change the "gamma correction" of your pictures. When opening your image file with Irfanview and then pressing Shift+G, you can access the colour enhancement window and there you can modify the Gamma Correction. Increasing the gamma correction (>1) will make your picture look clearer and brighter, whereas decreasing it (<1) will make your picture look darker.

Here is an example: I modified your last picture with Gamma Correction.

Waddya think?

Oh, and BTW, you've got some good-looking Marienburgers! Especially the captain, I like the idea of a double-barreled pistol! Does that weapon exist in Mordheim? Or will it be considered as a duelling pistol?

Can't wait to see the painting job finished!

Good luck mate

Amen to what Tortiou said.

Irfan View = a "MUST". Get it here.

Nice models, I think it's pretty cool to use the old Empirre models for archers, they have the perfect look for Marienburger.

The handgun with "bajonett" looks cool as well!

The double barreled pistols do exist in Mordheim, but they are only available to Ostlanders.

So, these models would be better suited as Ostlanders. However, in the 16th century double barreled pistols were VERY popular with seafaring folk. Mainly because you didn't have to caring a second pistol for a rapid second shot when boarding another vessel.

So these could work as a pistol brace for seafaring Marienburgers, Marienburg is a port city anyway. (Or so I am told)

Erm, ... no. If you have a look a other warband's special equipment you'll notice something like:

Availability: Rare 7, Skaven only

There is nothing like this for double-barrelled weapons. Also you won't even find a "Ostlander special weapons" section in the warband file - it says "new equipment" instead. So technically what the rules do is introduce new weapons available to all warbands, albeit in a very subtle way. This was done more obvious in the Shadow Warrior warband list where it is explicitly stated that Familiars are available to non-Elf spell-casters as well.

Finally let's have a look at the flavour part of the double-barred description:

Ostlander Mercenary Warbands wrote:
Knowing Ostlanders’ penchant for impressive weaponry (and ready willingness to spend excessive amounts of money) a weaponsmith from Hochland decided to weld two barrels together on a pistol and sell it for twice the price. The Warband was so impressed with their new weapon that they asked him to do the same to their hunting rifle. Since then the weaponsmith has been flooded with orders from some of the most powerful Warbands in Mordheim.

The last sentence is clearly not talking about Ostlanders only.

'Nuff smart-assing for today Wink

from mordheimer.com

Double-barreled Hunting Rifle (A02 41); 250 gc; Availability: Rare 12
Double-barreled Pistol (A02 41); 30 gc/60 gc for a brace; Availability: Rare 10

Knowing Ostlanders’ penchant for impressive weaponry (and ready willingness to spend excessive amounts of money) a Weaponsmith from Hochland decided to weld two barrels together on a pistol and sell it for twice the price. The Warband was so impressed with their new weapon that they asked him to do the same to their hunting rifle. Since then the Weaponsmith has been flooded with orders from some of the most powerful Warbands in Mordheim. A double-barreled gun (of any sort) is treated exactly like a normal version with one exception. Any enemy is hit by two blasts rather than one (i.e. a pistol causes two S4 hits rather than one for each successful hit.) However, each barrel takes a full turn to reload (although if you reload only one barrel you can fire it like a normal pistol/rifle). If you own a brace of double-barreled pistols you may fire them every other round (rather than every round like a normal brace).
