The pictures are a little blurry but i like the mini-diorame for your captain. The chest of gold fairly screams Marienburg. But the base is a very unusual size, how do you play it?
Oh, an you need another hero - maybe you should soend the 30 gold on a youngblood to gain some income.

Thank you, I thought it fit the merchant/marienburg image. If it's not obvious, he's also standing on a big pile of gold coins.
I have a normal size base for him as well, so that he can move down tight alleys etc.
It's only a big base because i love the merchant model, and didn't really want to alter it at all.
And yeah, I kinda do, but i'm saving money so I can get an awesome Champion.

Thanks, at first I was going to do them in darker colours so they we're camouflaged, Then I was like, "Wait... Marienburg... City of Gold... Fancily Dressed.... WHERE IS MY PINK!!!"

They're a mixture of old and new Empire state troops, because I liked the poofy sleeves And the warlock's made from a flagellant.

We're on the same page with the costumes...Renaissance style attire is what drew me to the Empire initially. The bright colors are the fashion for the period; it doesn't seem right to have fantasy be duller than reality.

The warband looks great! I like the captain mini-diorama a lot, too.

Miniature photography is a pain, and (for me anyways) getting it right isn't very intuitive. A couple bits of advice, though: when I shoot minis I set the camera to the macro setting (usually indicated by a little tulip icon), get about a foot away from the mini, and use the zoom function as necessary. I also try to light the mini as well as possible from at least two angles to eliminate some of the shadows, and avoid using the flash.

@DeafNala, that's why I like them (that and the massive speciesism... ) I like having a more realistic army as well.

@Myntokk, Thanks, it was both necessity and me wanting to be different and I'm just going to get my mum to take them, she has amazing camera skills.

Also, something i've only just noticed, this is a damn aryan warband. I didn't plan it, but they're all blond.

I dunno, looks more gingerish to me in those pics!

And thanks, they're from the Vampire Counts Skeletons, I wanted bigger, round shields, the empire ones are a bit wimpy

Yeah, I spotted the source- wouldn't have thought of that paint scheme for that shield though, kudos!

The most recent state trooper shields are a little bit feeble; still, some are better than others!
