The night goblin outkasts Empty
PostSubject: The night goblin outkasts   The night goblin outkasts Icon_minitimeMon 14 Feb 2011 - 22:20

Hey,
This is my night goblin warband. Still pretty much WIP but i think you can imagine where this is going...
This is the first time that i am modelling. I am working with greestuff, milliput, magic sculpt and procreate. I am still trying out different mixtures but procreate with a bit of milluput works best for me so far. I really enjoy sculpting a lot.

How would night goblin outkasts look like after quite a while in the wilderness?

First of, the Chieftain

A fanatic and a troll will be added soon.
My next warband will probably be "the possesed" as they have less models Smile 15 models for a starting band is a lot to do!
Critics and comments a very welcome. I am just starting and some advice especially on how to smooth the surfaces further are very welcome.
See u soon folks

What a GREAT first post...WELCOME ABOARD!
That is a FINE LOOKING Goblin War Band...Goblins are THE COOLEST. You've taken the Lads to new heights of silliness as only a Goblin can achieve...I love the one with the skillet attached to his backpack. GREAT STUFF! thumbsup

Holy crap those are beautiful! If this is your first time sculpting anything you have a promising future ahead. Those 40k grots convert very well and have achieved an old school look with these guys.
reference to Kev Adams' classic gobbos style

All the extra details make them look well traveled, just as a mordheim warband should.

Now i must ask... will you be using my WIP rules? Wink

Indeed a nice job!
I'm happy to see someone who knows which is the right side for an arrow rested on a bow

Hey,
thank you all for the warm welcome and your comments. I really appreciate that.

@Pathfinder: Of course i will be using your rules, they are great! Fungi fields forever!

drakkol: Yeah i am doing archery for two years now…
makes you precise about the details, that's also why they did't get those hilarious looking children bows they normally get from gw. I like the look of longer bows better. I also made the bows so the grip is in the lower third on most bows as used with japanese yumi-bows.

See you soon

Looking splendid. The gobbos got a rugged wilderness feel, that seems spot on with the fluff. Well done!

I guess i have reason to update the list! Just a heads up, i am fairly certain the next version will not contain snotlings. They were a hold over from the original list i borrowed, they are redundant, complicated, and fit more in a standard goblin hoard. Jibbering, yelping snotlings don't fit well with the sneaky backstabber style of Night Gobbos! They would do much better back at the cave tending the fungus.

I you have your heart set on snotlings they will still be equipment, and can be used as wound counters alternatively.

I can't wait to see your Huge Squig conversion... hint hint! Wink
