| Thanks for the kind comments, Guys! Capt. B: Beauty may be skin deep, but ugly go es to the bone. I hoping the Redheads I've known haven't turned out like Mary...don't tell Mary that. V.K.: She's Reaper's Bab Yaga 60077: http://www.reapermini.com/Miniatures/60077 | |

| Some small (about Hobbit sized) progress: I finished the Piranha Club & an Unknown Mini of Dubious Culinary Tastes. The Four of them share the distinction of being Four A Minis supplied to moi by that FINE FELLOW, Mason. SO without further delay, HERE THEY ARE: Zooming in on The Piranha Club: Some individual shots: The Mysterious Stranger: There, now that wasn't so bad...mostly. As always, your commentary would be appreciated.

| Thanks, theomar! One of the Fellows over on L.A.F. claims that the Mushrooms give him nightmares...I must be doing something right. | |

Thanks for pointing out Reaper's Baba Yaga. Missed her when she came out. Maybe I'll fix up the Chicken Legged Hut I started 12 yrs ago...

| Excellent! Thanks for posting them as I love looking at other people's ideas about ship building. I think I'm looking at some really nice home made swivel guns, too. | |

| Love the ships names! That's got to be as hard as naming taverns easily. | |

| Thanks for the kind comments, Guys! I hope to finish the Girls for use with the swampy sections of the Spooky Forest. I'll be getting a set of Goblin Pirates in exchange for painting from Mordheimer... SO they'll have crews & a very small chance of seeing some action. @V.K.: The Swivel Guns were pretty easy to knock out with some plastic tubes from Evergreen, a couple of pushpins, staples, & a jewelry thingy. When I start making them again, I'll give a step by step or send you some samples...whichever seems easier. @theo: I love coming up with names. The third ship was a steam powered ram (the height of Goblin-tech) named the Wicked Wanda. I admit to stealing that name from a Bar Mill's Tavern kit. @playtable: I was having a Flying Tiger's moment with the teeth. They just seemed to fit with the Goblins' image of a fierce front. | |

| Thanks, Ben...glad you like them. Since I took the photos, I have had a need to finish the Beasties. If I were to include them as "man (Goblin) made" islets with the rest of the Swamp stuff, the modeling possibilities would be very interesting...at least to my mind. | |

| You´re so prolific it's difficult to fathom. I like the piranha dudes so much, great minis, but most of all, excellently painted - some of your best work yet! | |

With the larger roots, I start by making a form from raffia wrapped florist wire (from Michael's its called Naturally Wired...florists are corny). Then I cover it a section at a time with hot glue & tease/stipple it out with a toothpick/skewer/pointy wooden stick. Next time I add the roots or do heavy branches, I'll try to remember to do photos of the different stages.
