| As usual I have far too many projects on the go at once and yet again I've started thinking about a new one that may derail the others...Having said that this is just the very earliest stages of this idea and may come to nothing (so don't hold me to making anything just yet!) Anyway, here's the idea, an Alice in Wonderland themed Orcs and Goblins warband with the Tim Burton film as most of the inspiration, with just a few bits on bobs from other screen versions and/or the books. The WonderlandersMad Hatter (Orc Boss - BIG hat with price tag, pins, ribbons, tea cup, white face) White Rabbit (Orc Big'Un - sprinting, watch and waistcoat, rabbit ears, bob-tail) Knave of Hearts (Orc Big'Un - black orc armour with red heart-shaped shoulder plates, black heart-shaped eye-patch) Alice (Orc Shaman - sulking about being put in a blue dress, white apron, blonde wig with band) Cheshire Cat (Orc Boy - BIG eyes, cat's tail and ears) March Hare (Orc Boy - boxing pose, ears, striped pyjama trousers, dressing gown) Tweedledee (Orc Boy - black & white striped top, black trousers, twin of Tweedledum) Tweedledum (Orc Boy - black & white striped top, black trousers, twin of Tweedledee) Seven of Hearts (Orc Boy - playing card front and back) Caterpillar * (Orc Boy - long robe, hookah pipe, antena) Dormouse (Goblin - sleeping, mouse ears, skaven tail) Queen of Hearts * (a shouty Goblin) Bandersnatch (hairy River Troll with spotted grey fur all over him) Dodos (Squigs) Jubjub Bird (Goblin Doom Diver?) Bases: scattered with mushrooms, playing cards, "drink me" bottles, and "eat me" cakes Ideas and suggestions are welcome but I can't promise that I'll ever do anything about any of them! Key: StartedCompleted* Added to list after suggestion from you lovely peopleWelcome to the inner workings of my Orcy mind...

| You're as mad as a hatter, Saul. This will be rather good. Although is there no Caterpillar in there? He could just be a boy with a pair of joke shop boggly antennae and a few colourful pipes. | |

| You need to do this! I love Alice in Wonderland (all versions) and would love to see this in action. In fact, I actually picked my Malifaux crew almost solely because I wanted to be the Mad Hatter character. | |

| I've built the plastic parts of Alice, the Hatter, the Knave and the White Rabbit. They all need a good deal of greenstuff work before they are anything more than standard models, but I'll get some photos up soon anyway... just so you can see where they start. | |

| I remembered I had some 8mm squared plasti-card so some of them get "chess board" paving slabs on their bases. Mad Hatter - loads of GS work needed to add a hat, a cravat, a load of ribbons and maybe a long coat. White Rabbit - needs ears and a coat of some sort. Knave of Hearts - doesn't need very much, just some Orcy heart symbols here and there. Alice - needs an apron with a big bow on the back and hair. I may have to add pistols so I can call them (admittedly really weird) Orc Pirates! | |

| Call for the ladz in the white coats, 'e's gone round the bend, the Adm'url has.
Thoughts: Its too literal for this crew but Alice should be a witch hired sword. She could generate the EAT ME, DRINK ME potions and run from combat and enemy models screaming "don't hurt me! I'm a little girl!"
The Caterpillar would make a better Troll. The hooka would explain the occassional stupidity...
The Bandersnatch could be an alternate squig...
White Rabbit would be better as a goblin...
Queen of Hearts--there's a role for an orc! Or perhaps a delusional goblin henchman.

| I know these are going to look UNBELIEVABLY COOL, just picturing an Orc dressed in an Alice Blue Gown ESPECIALLY with long blond hair & an over-sized bow conjures up visions of Tom's Pink Orcs accompanied by another reprise of Gracey Slick's White Rabbit. OH WOW THE COLORS, MAN! | |

The Bandersnatch could be an alternate squig... I'm going to use the "fallen" Orc from the Empire archers box as the Caterpillar. Tell me that this wouldn't make a great River Troll (covered in greenstuff fur) conversion!? - Von Kurst wrote:

Queen of Hearts--there's a role for an orc! Or perhaps a delusional goblin henchman. I reckon White Rabbit to too important a character to be a Grot - but the Queen of Hearts as a Gobbo is genius! It's now on my list. I won't be posting pics until later in the week (I'm away from home for a couple of days) but I did some greenstuff work this weekend on the Hatter, Alice, the White Rabbit and the Knave.

| Thanks guys! @Von Kurst - I've added pistols to all of them except Alice to make them all a bit more Piratey. I'm going to paint White Rabbit's "stikk bomb" (with it's pin cut off) as a brass telescope which will help too! @flipchuck - thanks, that's what I was going for! @Svenn - maybe.... Hmmmm... do I need to add "mad hair" to the Mad Hatter? | |

Oh that reminds me, where's the bit on the Mad Hatter's back come from? (the holstered booma and sword) That's a right handy bit there.

That's a right handy bit there. It's from the 40K Nobz box set. It needed a tiny trim to hide the fact it's a revolver but it is an ace bit! ~~~ I added hair to the Hatter and started work on the Orc versions of the March Hare, Tweedledum and Tweedledee last night - photos over the weekend.
