So with some spare cables from the globe cannon, a little green stuff, and a merc. arm i converted him to this dynamic el mariachi like pose! It looks really good! Both natural and dynamic. Will surely look great when painted!

| Thanks for the acknowledgments guys! More work, copy/pasted from my blog... so there are unnecessary explanations for people unfamiliar with the hobby. I spent some time sculpting a hand today. It's going to go on this model, to represent a poison wind globe, a glass grenade filled with toxic fumes thrown by a mutated humanoid rat. I am very pleased with the result, this is only the 2nd hand i have ever sculpted, the first being a metal gauntlet . That was simple block shapes, while this on the other hand (no pun intended!) is bare skin and considerably harder. Trying to make the hand look like anything but a blobby mitten was the first hurdle! The next problem i ran into was how to make the knuckles, which had to bulge out, with thinner finger bones in between. The final challenge was to sculpt a convincing rat like claw at the tip of each finger, while maintaining a dexterous enough looking hand to grasp the slippery glass orb. This project was a success, even though it's a little rough. I could have spent some more time trying to get the fingers smoother, but i was afraid i would ruin what i had accomplished already! One of the most important things to remember when sculpting is to STOP once it looks decent. If you try to get every detail perfect you will just sped all day reworking the same area. I included a scale photo for those unsure of the size. It is roughly 1/72 scale. Edit: Corrected the worst of my Terrible Terrible Grammar!

| CONGRATULATIONS! You succeeded admirably in a most difficult task. One of the big changes, that to my mind, marked the transition from the toy soldiers I used to game with to the model soldiers of today was that point when the arm ended in something recognizable as a hand. VERY NICELY DONE! | |

| Just started following this thread - awesome looking skaven! I'm especially a fan of the "pistolier", but the shackles on the plastics is a great way of indicating that they're slaves, too.
Great work on the globe-hand, by the way. It came out really well and it's very impressive, especially given that this is only the second hand you've sculpted! Well done.
