| Here are some simple shackles added to the spectacular new skaven to make them easily identifiable as slaves. I wish these models had separate left arms... You can see the full article HERE on my website. No more pictures though so you might as well not click the link! | |

| I hadn't realized the new Rat Guys were THAT COOL...the addition of the leg irons makes them EVEN COOLER! VERY NICE WIP! While the new plastics may be a God sent to those big game types & G.W. accountants, the minis are definitely less adaptable for the modeler loonies among us...can't please everyone. | |

| Ha! I realize posting this update only minutes after the first pictures makes it look like I'm the fastest painter in the world!!! Actually I painted these over the weekend, and made those shackles last week. Here is a teaser, see the rest on my webpage: Skaven WIP | |

| Not letting any grass grow under your feet...nice illusion of painting at the speed of light. EXCELLENT choice of colors & a FINE job on the flesh tones...especially the Rat on the left, the dirty one who killed my brother...sorry, I was having a Jimmy Cagney moment there . GREAT PROGRESS!

| These actually look a lot better in person too, great models.
I had the honor of sitting across from him while he was learning a whole new way to paint.
His excitement was like a kid finding out he had superpowers or something.

| Despite their lack of modeling possibilities as compared to the older plastics, I've got to admit the new stuff is VERY appealing. I spotted this Grey Seer over on CMoN; for some inspiration checkout: http://www.coolminiornot.com/254619 . Cool, huh?! | |

| I have converted a few bits and bobs, slowly getting this warband together. LINK to ArticleOr if you don't feel like clicking away to my website: Skaven with a left arm? What? A proof of concept that you can have Skaven with two hand weapons from the new boxed set. Globadier made from cannon crew. Yeah i know these pics are huge. | |

| Here you can see four Skaven from three different castes. From left to right: Stormvermin, Verminkin, Skavenslave, and a mock up Juvenile Skavenslave. Using a Gnoblar body for Skavenslaves is not originally my idea, all credit goes to the anonymous builder and Google search. I have improved on the idea by adding the hunchback; and eventually, fur sculpted to match the Verminkin. I noticed when editing this picture that the old tails are out of scale with the juvenile, so i will have to sculpt my own. The Stormvermin you see is actually the beginnings of an Overseer for my Skryre Warband. I can't decide whether to remove that over-sized blade on the helmet or not... (Please Note: The author does not condone the use of force to subjugate any lifeform into a life of bondage, be they rat or man. I didn't write the background material, Games Workshop™ did. Please direct your angry email towards them.) | |

| It's rather a shame to have to go through all that to have a functioning left arm, HOWEVER, your conversion work looks EXCELLENT! Contacting G.W. is a waste of time; re, they're an unresponsive, monolithic entity like Congress & the Phone Co.. | |

| I love your versatile use of brown. The way you coax a multitude of different tones out of your skaven browns will result in a much more colourful total effect than spamming bright colours I think.
Great Modding so far. I can't wait to see the end result. Regarding your overseer's helmet. I don't think the blade is too big, but if it is going to bother you later rather make your own crest out of other bits.

I'm now working on Eshin sorcerer. Powerful sorcerer with no armour on - it's difficult, and tempting :-)

| UpdateI got the clan skryre warlord from the boxed set as deafnala suggested, and as much i liked it stock, it just was screaming out to me "PISTOLIER" So with some spare cables from the globe cannon, a little green stuff, and a merc. arm i converted him to this dynamic el mariachi like pose! | |
