New stuff alert! I'm painting the fifteenth warrior for this gang, and it will be of the landlocked postaviary kind. Also, chaos centaur and hobgoblin scout hired swords on the way.

Also, my son has decided that he would like a Maneater warband (models ordered), and I've found some models I'm going to use for Goblin Battle Monks of Cathay warband... pics coming in three-four weeks...

Really like this warband, and it's nice to see more civilized beastmen for a change.
These figures fit perfectly with the theme, just as many have mentioned earlier.
About the painting I would mention those striped clothes. They are very well painted, especially on the second bestigor's trousers, and make the warband look nicely unified.
Knowing how hard it's to paint straight lines you've done a great job on those.

I think that you are being too hard on yourself about that centigor figure. Those subtle different shades of grey work just great, and though I'm not a great fan of the sculpt, I think it's one of the coolest painted figures in your warband.

The stripes actually look even better when on the gameboard - all the small inconsistencies tend to disappear. IMO the key to success with stripes is using two different colours. I've used a light blue and a clear white. First you paint a blue stripe, then a thinner white one on top of the first one - gives you a vibrant looking stripe!

I still find the rhinogor a bit unimaginatively coloured. I usually pride myself with being able to mix and match colours well (although I'm still a sloppy painter), but the poor rhino looks a bit plain to me. Well, I'm glad you like it Sianpää, it means a lot to get good reviews from an accomplished painter.

Yes, they seem to be rare, which is strange... to me there's something deeply unsettling about the combination of humanoid and bird; the beak, the strange, feathered skin, the beady eyes...

Haha! Yes, the toy-likeness of your miniatures certainly increases when they're animals.

A Hired sword - Emissary of Chaos. The mini is from Reaper.

I haven't decided yet, but I'll probably go the cliché route, and play her as a Slaaneshi emissary.

COOL LOOKING Chaos Chick! For some reason or other I can never bring my self to do radical hair color, even though I love the look...the blue looks cool. I like the gem on the shield as well. WELL DONE!

With the growing horde scion of chaos objective achievement, it has become necessary to muster some new recruits for the Beastmen of Ind warband. Naturally these recruits are picked in Cathay, and so differ in type from original ones. First off a group shot:

VERY COOL & DIFFERENT! You came up with some EXCELLENT minis to represent the Inscrutable Oriental Beasty Boys. I see the Kung Fu Reptilian Fellow is about to step on the Dread Mutant Broccoli...that used to be a recurring thing on Dennis Mize bases. VERY WELL DONE!

Good pictures, you're getting better at taking them (or maybe you just take advantage of the sunlight ).

Thx guys! Actually the last pics were taken on a cloudy day, but I brought all the portable lamps I could find into the kitchen and arranged some kind of light bath. I tried to get rid of all the shadows, but as you can see I did not succeed. Anyhow, IMHO the minis look much better IRL. I'll take some kind of group shots when they're based - hopefully they will look better then.

@SerialMoM: you've assembled quite a collection of warbands now yourself. looking forward to your next project!

@DeafNala: Aha, I thought I recognized that broccoli thing from somewhere. You're a walking encyklopedia of miniature facts!

If you find it difficult to take pictures with the phone, replace the terrain with a boring white paper draped up against something.

Both are VERY COOL minis that you did a FINE job bringing to life...the Tiger's stripes look TERRIFIC. VERY WELL DONE!

The problem with my mobile camera is the pixelation, not good enough dpi, or whatever it is called.

When i saw "swinegor" i tought of a gor with an empty bottle of wine...somethimes my mind makes strange jokes... Nice looking minis! ^_^

Actually, it was the panda that took the wine bottle - it is rice wine though, mind you...
