My latest project is an Arbites-army, based on a fandex that's been heavily modified. I've bought several packs of Necromunda enforcers as the base of the army, and this is my progress this far.

Some further development!
First off my spanking new Combat Team: five boltguns and three plasma guns to put the fear of the law in the enemy.



Pretty happy with those guys, and I'm hoping that this next unit will turn out at least equally good - The penal legion squad! There is still some minor work to do before base coating, but I can't resist the urge to show them as is:

The Long Arm of Imperial Justice, such as it is, never looked better or as cool...the Leader Type in the trench coat is really cool in a sinister/Gestapo sort of way. VERY WELL DONE!
The Penal Legion Lads have a lot of potential...I keep hearing The Chain Gang. Have FUN painting.

I am aiming for just over 2000 points, which will consist of three Chimeras, a "Land raider", two Chimera-like tanks with heavy weapons, a monstrous walker, around 75 infantry models in nine units, three cavalry models (policemen on lizards), three bikers, three sentinels, and a land speeder. So, some work left, but I'm getting there. Will finish another Chimera and the Mobile Precinct Fortress (the "Land Raider" with some small conversions on the weaponry) today.

I will be using a quite heavily modified version of Kendokas Arbites dex (http://hem.spray.se/kendoka2/arbites/necromunda_aa.htm), brought up to date ruleswise and pointswise, with some extra candy thrown in (yey, finally a chance to do something with my inquisitor Karamazov model!).

VERY COOL STUFF! The Land Raider turned out really nicely; AND I love the Cyber Dog Handler. VERY WELL DONE!

Some work done on the penal squad! Pants, skin and grey vests are finished.




Thoughts?

The Convicts are coming along VERY NICELY. Orange is the "in" color in the Penal Systems these days; so you've got an appropriate splash of color. Keep 'em coming!

Penal Legion Team finished! Actually they were finished last week, but I haven't had the time to take any pics until now. I'm very pleased with the result, and though they're kind of a glass hammer gameswise, they look good on the board.

They do indeed LOOK GOOD. As far as combat effectiveness goes even a weak unit will occasionally do well, but, win or lose, they always look good doing it. VERY WELL DONE!

Some development! I've finished the in my mind in the original fandex too sinisterly named execution team. I will probably call them a Strike Team. They are lead by a Detective, and of course have their own chimera called Carnifex (try your knowledge of latin!).










Some WIP! This is the start of my two Rapid Pursuit Teams:

The new Lads look SPLENDID; they remind me of Judge Dredd...considering their profession that's a fairly appropriate resemblance. I love the weapons on the chimera. VERY WELL DONE!

Another unit finished (except for the bases...): The Lizardmounted Rapid Pursuit Team with Power lances! Models from Void.




Pretty satisfied with them. In-game they're kind of a glass cannon, but that's true of most non-space marine non-vehicle units in 40K.

VERY COOL! Those really painted up TERRIFIC...some of the nicest pieces you've done thus far. I especially like the skin tones on the Lizards. VERY WELL DONE!

Really nice models! The bike with the assault gun is very Dredd-ish and I really like the big lizards.

New shinies! First off, the based Rapid Pursuit Lizard Team:



Next, the Rapid Pusuit Biker Team. These turned out considerably less well than I had hoped, largely because I found the models boring to paint. I had some plans to buy three more, but those plans I have scrapped (and vigourosly at that). Well, anywho... here they are:




And saved for the last, two out of three Sentinels are assembled. They will all have the same loadout (autocannon+hunter-killer seemed the best combination of Arbitesness and game efficiency to me):

I for one thinks the bikes look very good. But how do you fire a shotgun from a bike? well if your not a terminator...

as police forces go these are some rather brutal boys

OOOOH! The New Shinies are COOL! While you may not be thrilled with them, the Bikers look pretty sharp. AND I really like the Lizard Troopers; re, the lance reminds me of something similar the Polish Army tried against the German tanks in '39...it was somewhat less than successful . That aside, they all turned out TERRIFIC...VERY WELL DONE!

I've always been fond of the Sentinels; have FUN painting them...I'm sure you will.
