| I think they still come in the Witch hunter warband set but I'm not sure you can get seperate blisters of them new anymore. Its a shame because warhounds seem to turn up more than you'd think in warbands and scenario rules! I've been looking at other threads with models for warhounds on, some people used the dogs that came with farmer maggot from GW's LOTR range. Anyone else know other good models to use for warhouds? | |

| Moved to painting and modelling sectionIf you can't find them on the GW site or ebay, try the Trading section of the forum. Maybe someone has some spare ones. I'd look for other companies' models too. I really like these Warlord Games doggies a lot, for example. | |

| Maybe a little large, but Chaos warhounds with greenstuffed ears and tails (no mutations). Look like big mangy wolves. | |

| Most people I have played with use the Goblin Riding Wolves, minus the goblins. I think that the Orignal Models are a little cooler, but I think the riding wolves work well. I think modded-up Chaos warhounds could work too, you would just leave-off the horns, and give them more normal looking tails like Narcissussaid. | |

| I opted for these Puppies from Reaper: 03326: Guard Dogs (2) ($11.99) Jason Wiebe The one on the left has the proper attitude while his associate could drool you to death. | |

or this one, same site as Deaf's puppies I have this one, very nice mini. Although it fits only to cavalry base, so for some players it may be a problem.

| I second what MWeaver said. I just ordered some of these last month (Mastiff w/Collar x6") for $10.50 US including shipping. The company is in the UK, and it took about 5 or 6 days. I don't have much time to model at the moment, but I am definitely excited to get these guys painted up for my witch hunters.

| Thanks for posting the pic, Sartori. How do you add pictures to a post? I was trying to figure it out on another thread, and had no luck. Which isn't surprising given I am inept at that sort of thing - but my more clever and 'puter-savvy spousal unit also couldn't figure it out. | |

| Look at the row of icons above where you edit your post (B for Bold, I for Italics, etc).
Use the little `polaroid picture' icon to the left of the `chain link' icon...and then enter a URL where the picture is hosted.

| In Mordheim, pet owners don't need to hold a license and I have waaay too many war hounds in my collection... ...enough to open my own dog pound!! Usually I just field the set of 3x mastiffs which Citadel released as part of their Marauder Dark Elf Beast Master range in the 90's. Of course there is always the temptation to use war bears or war monkeys as has been suggested in the Mordheim rulebook. My preferred pet is Clyde my 'arctic' war monkey!! Those baby dragons available through GW mail order would make quite the opulent pet for a wealthy warband of merchants or elves. Regards, Werekin. | |

| I wanted to use the Warlord Mastiffs and I also wanted to convert their Skycladd Druid to use as a Priest of Taal for my Ostlander warband but today I had the druid in my hands and allthough they claim to be 28mm it was MUCH to small compared to GW! Unfortunatly they had no Mastiffs there so before I order them does anyone know how they compare to GW? could someone post a comparison picture please? | |

| You could also pick up the hounds of Orion from the wood Elf line. Expensive but Irish Wolfhounds are very cool. (basically what the dogs are) | |
